Iran knew it could not defeat the US conventionally that was why it mastered and invested in assymetric warfare for decades and it paid off. Defeat na defeat, so it does not matter if US could defeat Iran in a conventional warfare. As long as Iran achieves her objectives assymetrically that is what matters.

Trump is in a bad situation as we talk. He didn't get the regime change, he has no clue as to how to deal with the nuclear and missiles programme as talks about those ones are now muted only the strait of Hormuz is the sticking point now.

Trump made a big mistake by starting this war.

If Israel could do the "finishing work" why would Trump stop Israel? If I find it difficult doing something and I have a friend who could do it, won't I allow that friend to do it by easing my problem?

The Saudis couldn't defeat the Houthis for years now. I wonder why they think inviting more countries in support will help them. The Houthis don't have ships or maritime assets but they have anti-ship missiles and they don't hesitate to use them.

Saudi Arabia does not learn. It has been fighting the Houthis since 2014 and now it thinks a coalition would help her. U.S had to escape the Houthis trap 2024 and had a ceasefire agreement with the Houthis.
