ijinleoro: Afripud paid 30k last year. http://nairametrics.com/list-of-dividends-announced-so-far-in-2017-updated-february-23-2017/ NOT interim. They messed up big time last year when hope was very high for the interim dividend. This Coy looks poised to surprise with earnings this year. It has gone back to its footsteps of 2015 in terms of performance. It has few SHO compared to UCAP. It has Tony in the details. The management spoke about repositioning it for better returns as well NB: Do not invest based on this post. Do your DD. |

yom2: are u sayin d large funds drivin d shares are not aware of dis? even abayonomics d stockwatch guru recomended it 2weeks back There is no limitation imposed on the amount of money that can be spent on 'SPECULATION'. This does not imply that everyone buying is speculating,, but a good chunk of NON TECHNICAL and NON FUNDAMENTAL cash may form a good percentage of that huge cash. pluto09: Managing a company is actually not as easy as people outside think. I am not suprised that etisalat is running at a loss as they came to the party very late. Other telecos have had their own difficult time too in the past. From where i stand, the whole story is not good for anybody not even acess bank that is taking the company over. Etisalat has been a bit wasteful. This is my personal opinion and it is not the reason for their present presence in a pit. |

OBAGADAFFI: From experience with CDMA coys, Banks don't have that expertise.
But nobody can tell me ETISALAT or Telecoms companies don't make profits, most of their incomes are usually diverted .
Ernest Ndukwe tried enforcing corporate governance when he was the NCC EVC.
The same man is a director in Access Bank. Ironic

Manonamission: Only the parent company (Etisalat) converted to equity. Other investors are not forthcoming. Mubadala wants out. Nigerian investors group probably don't have money for bailout. Banks are not interested in the equity option, hence the reason for the take over. They want their money back. - The head is finally off the body. I cant shout. - This Etisalat will make Access shareholders smile in the long run. -Loans are not designed to make borrowers rich , ESPECIALLY by Access bank. A loan from Access is like a guaranteed Cardiac Arrest certificate. Those who borrowed from access in the past are feeling me. Wigwe no dey hear stories... |
