BullBearMkt:
MARKET IS SCREAMING CAUTION!!!
NSE All Share Index starts the week on a bullish tone with the index appreciated by 0.73%. Very encouraging. However, the candlestick formed after the close is called SHOOTING STAR. Technically, this indicate potential price tops and reversal is likely imminent. The market is therefore shouting caution to whosoever want to listen.

Same candlestick pattern is observed this same time last year bull run (black circle), as you can see, there was a "major" pullback in the market.

This doesn't mean the rally cannot continue, but it is a warning to those that follow Technical Analysis.

Cheers

This priceless advice should have been put on sale. It may have been valued more.
The price will however be paid to brokers in commissions.
No trade is a good one, when it turns to losses especially after it made significant gains... grin
Always look at someone putting his funds out 365 days for 18~22% gain and appreciate when you make 21~30% in a week or two.. grin

When a significant gain is made in a short time, a wise investor should resize his portfolio downwards in order not to give ALL his gains back to the market with interest ( commissions)... grin

When you feel highly elated about your gains, it is actually a CONFIRMATION SIGNAL to downsize your portfolio ... grin

FULL BID can turn to FULL OFFER in the BLINK OF AN EYE and last longer... grin

- The riskiest time to give or take advice is during a BULL RUN.
- It takes purposeful buying to move stock prices up, but stock prices fall under their own weight..... grin
- portfolio sizing and money management rules will be discarded now with huge future penalties as oversized portfolios may bleed before exit targets... grin
- balanced portfolios will be abandoned now for badly tilted portfolios that may not carry shock absorbers in pursuit of 'ON FULL BID'

God help us all.

The bias on some stock is so alarming reading from some fellows here,It will be nice to allow natural law of rejuvenation and Goodwill to turn around of these companies e.g FbnH,transcorp....positive fundamentals to take it back up. Than use negative words and vetuberations to propel a stock to futher ruines just becos you don't like the brand. Or its being done intentionally inorder to enter the prospect there-in. Let's be optimistic a bit not always pesimism always. It kills effort.
Profit from short term noise, prosper from long term patience.

I can see hybrid seeds going to be sold very cheaply.
Share prices are never guaranteed a rocket's path.
UCAP started around N1.30 or so last year, on that journey to N4.00, we had all sorts of concerns both TA and FA. The charts never for a moment kept silence. The charts always had something to say.
Most of our analysis are always correct, but MR MARKET is a DICTATOR... grin

grin grin grin grin grin
I deeply appreciated the insights I received from that discussion.
Kudos to ALL that took interest and mostly to those who participated and those still digging.
We will close it finally after 90% of Q1 earnings are out and further give us direction.

I am KEEN on these:
FO
OANDO
TRANSCORP
DANGFLOUR.
WAPCO

We have to make this forum as robust as possible and help people to make money.
We need NOT make recommendations but present our opinions in a clear way'
Remember, our OPINIONS are NOT our PERSONALITIES and so we should not feel humiliated or not properly acknowledged when OUR OPINIONS come under attack... grin

The discussion is on..... grin
We may have someone here making a takeover or in the know of a TAKEOVER that may be even more profitable than what Dangote did, we will be happy if he can help us share in the loot... grin

My low moment last year was when someone detailed here precisely, in golden prose, so articulately, how he arrived at what Dangote was paying for EACH UNIT of DANGFLOUR he was getting from TIGERBRANDS.
He poured good cash in that stock quietly and went to bed waiting for us to be JIJOING with JUNKS... grin
He had calculated he was about to EMPLOY Dangote and give him a target, should Dangote proceed with that deal. Dangote did... grin
When I read that post, I clearly saw how FINANCIAL DAY BLINDNESS was everywhere... grin
We must be in the best three (3) performing stocks of 2017... grin

Three simple facts could have kept anyone from buying diamond last week or yesterday.
1. Diamonds q1-3 results which are available with a simple google search.
2. Diamonds dividend history which is abysmal
3. The knowledge that the FY (whose direction you would have already known if you had studied 1) could come out anytime and catch you off guard.

JUST THINKING: Every year a stock does magic, that if one identified early, would have greatly profited him. Can we suggest and analyse to benefit us here? At times, some people may have hidden/insider knowledge or just amazingly interesting insights

Last year, DANGFLOUR moved below N1.00 to over N4.00.
I almost took a cutlass to question the elders in my village.... grin
That journey was done through level grounds, hills and valleys. It was like magic. At times the fundamentals, at other times the Technicals threw us all overboard on that journey, our life jacket was our STOP LOSS and POSITION SIZES.... grin

Which stock do we think will do this in 2017 or are all stocks presently overvalued?

Lets kick start an interesting discussion... grin

@locodemy, I guess DeRuggedProf is a smart investor/trader & knows where it is good for him to exit in case the market is against him...

& come to think of it, if I were in his shoe and entered the stock today even at 1.06; I wouldn't say because of all the analysis going on this forum, then I will exit my trade tomorrow! CAPITAL NO... All what we've been saying are just NOISE! The real determinant will be known in the next 2 days direction. And beside, the weekly data is not bad at all...

NOTE: This post do not directly or indirectly ask people to BUY as a pullback is imminent. I posted the opps for BUY couple of weeks back at 0.70 & that is the exact price I bought before selling 60% of my holdings today...

grin grin grin grin grin
