Rojenny Tourist and Games Village Oba was conceived and developed by Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka, a native of Akpo in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State. Rojenny is indeed a wonderland, a multipurpose centre with a complex mix of African culture and west­ern culture. It is a choice destination for excursions, sports recreation, relaxation, picnics, conferences and seminars, re­search, cultural entertainment, and so on. This tourist haven, constructed between 1983 and 1986 was opened to the public in November 1986.
He was the first to travel Taiwan, in 1976, first to clone Japanese motor cycle spare parts from Taiwan, which created a big fortune to Nnewi auto spare parts dealers. He is the first entrepreneur to bring fiber glass technology to Nigeria and first to manufacture Bambo tooth­picks in Nigeria.
He is the first to build the largest private stadium in Nigeria which hosted many continental matches that attracted, Al­geria, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Mali, et cetera. He also was the first to build the largest private sector tourism industry in Nigeria and first to camp Golden Eaglets for over two years in Oba.
These lads were given scholarship to study at the Merchant of Light Secondary School and simultaneously learning to play soccer which made them win Japan ‘93 Under-17 FIFA World Cup. The team had Fanny Amun as their coach and fu­ture stars like Celestine Babayaro, Wilson Oruma, Kanu Nwankwo, Peter Anosike, et cetera. He was also the first to acquire large farm land in Anaku Ayamelum when it was under Uzouwani and later brought in other farmers including Cos­charis Farm.
He was the first Igbo man to have trav­eled to 85% cities of Earth, mastering what makes developed countries great. These, according to him include - 100% uninterrupted power supply, massive in­dustrialization and export, tourism and sports development, education and skills acquisition, love of country with zero cor­ruption.
Further according to him, there was none of those developed countries that fronts religion as their way of life and nei­ther made religion a national issue. His words: “People like us in developed coun­tries are tapped for their ingenuity but in this country of ours only mediocres are jumping and grabbing governance and using neophytes to administer the coun­tries. This is the reason why Africa is lag­ging behind.”

Ifeanyi Chijindu is a Nigerian-American author/writer, entrepreneur, artist, model, actress and screenwriter.

Ifeanyi who was born in Los Angeles, Ca. had her first poem published at the age of eight, she completed a 90-page novella at eleven and at 15, Ifeanyi sold her first short story and won 2nd place for it in a contest hosted by Superior Communications and Publications.

By 17, Ifeanyi regularly performed her poetry at paid venues. Around this same time, Ifeanyi also deepened her interest in acting and won the part of Maya Angelou in a local play called Women In Love.

Cal Poly Pomona presented her with the Golden Leaves Award in recognition for her literary achievement and for being the youngest person at the university to receive this award.

In 2005, Black Diaspora Magazine published "Healing from Within," Ifeanyi's feature article about Djehuty Maat-Ra, creator of DHERBS and celebrity herbalist who counts celebrities like R & B singer Brandy and actor Blair Underwood as part of his clientele.

Ifeanyi wrote for The Poly Post newspaper from 2005–2007 where she displayed her incisive writing style with her cultural profiles on artists like Salvadoran painter Carlos Flores and in film reviews of movies such as Pirates of the Caribbean 3,The Reaping and The Return.

In 2007, Ifeanyi's film critiques and social editorials allowed her to receive an award from the Society of Professional Journalists for "Best Editorial" for an article about how on-campus ethnic centers promote separatism and racism.

He was born April 30, 1960, in Kaduna, to a retired soldier (father) and a retired nurse (mother) and hails from Nguru, Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area, of Imo State. He attended the University Of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), where he stud­ied Zoology, graduating in 1982, with a B.Sc. While at UNN, he contested for the position of the Transport Officer in the students Union Election. Back then, he was known for making his pocket money by conveying fellow students to sporting events for a fee in his personal car.
After graduation, he trained at the La­gos Business School and Wharton Busi­ness School, Philadelphia in US. Ever very entrepreneurial, he made his earli­est money by publishing and selling past question papers. It was from the venture that he made enough money to travel to Italy on a student rebate ticket where he purchased clothing items for sale.
He set-up a company, called Rapido, which supplied educational materials. He started with the supply of writing boards, most of which he made by himself. The small company later metamorphosed into the leading producer and marketer of audio-visual products in West Africa. In 1993, he set up a transport company that started with Hiace buses with a loan. The name given to the company was Associ­ated Bus Company. Not long after, their operations in Nigeria spanned the entire country; north, south east and west. ABC transport eventually became a Public Lim­ited Company, making it the first trans­port company in Nigeria to be quoted at the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
He has won many awards for his inno­vation and successful business initiatives, a few of which are the Outstanding Young Person of the Year award in 1997 from Nigerian Jaycees, 2001 Fate Model Entre­preneur of the Year Award for creating ex­cellence and ethics in business from Fate Foundation; Silver Jubilee Award from the Imo State Government for distinguished contribution to the development of Imo State also in 2001. He is an Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Lo­gistics and Transport (CILT), UK, and a recipient of the National Honour of the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).
Over the years, he has also contrib­uted immensely to the development of many communities through donations and various community service devel­opment programmes. In recognition, he has been honoured with several awards for his innovations in the transport in­dustry.

He hails from Nsukka, Enugu State and was educated at the University of Nigeria, where he graduated in 1979 - and at Howard University in Washington D.C., USA where he obtained a Ph.D. in Economics in 1988. He is a Professor of Economics and one time Director of the Institute for Development Studies at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He is also currently the MD/CEO of the Af­rican Development Solutions International (ADSI), a knowledge-based consulting firm, based in Abuja, Nigeria. (ADSI specializes in policy research and soft-skills training, includ­ing attitudinal and behavioral change training, youth empowerment, leadership and change management].
He was the immediate past Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Institute of Social and Economic Research (NISER) in Ibadan, Nigeria. He was the Economic Ad­viser to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and CEO of the National Planning Commission (Minister of National Planning) from 2005 to 2006 with supervisory oversight for three important parastatals: the National Bureau of Statistics; the Center for Manage­ment Development; and the Nigerian Institute of Social and Economic Research. Prof. Ogbu, was the Deputy Leader of the famous Eco­nomic Team under President Obasanjo.
He was a Consultant Research Economist in the Africa Region of the World Bank in Washington D.C between 1987 and 1991. He worked for the International Development Research Centre of Canada in Ottawa and at the regional office in Nairobi as a Senior Pro­gram Specialist from 1991 to 2001. He was the founder Executive Director/CEO of the au­tonomous African Technology Policy Studies Network (ATPS) in Nairobi from 2001 to 2005.
He has published and edited several books on African development as well as scholarly peer reviewed papers on a wide range of Af­rica’s developmental challenges. His views on development and science and technology pol­icy in Africa are respected internationally and he is a leading figure and champion of Africa’s intellectual freedom.
He is also a novelist; the author of the novel, The Moon Also Sets, published by the East African Educational Publishers, Nairobi and Heinemann Educational Books, Ibadan. He was a past President of the Rotary Club of Mil­imani, Nairobi and a Paul Harris Fellow.

Professor Uche Ewelukwa, a University of Arkansas School of Law Professor is the winner of the 2009 Human Rights Essay Award.

The theme for the essay competition was, “60 years of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights: its contemporary normative impact.” Ewelukwa’s paper, “The Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the African Child Today: Progress or Problems?” asks if the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) has been beneficial to African children or if it has proved harmful.

Her essay reviewed the extent to which children are protected in the constitutions of countries in Africa, discussed the influence of the UDHR on constitution-making and the development of human rights ideals in the continent, and analyzed relevant judicial decisions emanating from some of the highest courts in the continent, including the Constitutional Court of South Africa, the Supreme Court of Nigeria, and the Supreme Court of Zimbabwe.

Ewelukwa argues that children in Africa still confront four persisting tyrannies that the UDHR does not effectively address – the tyranny of silence, the tyranny of culture, the tyranny of poverty and corruption, and the tyranny of globalization. Despite this, Ewelukwa concludes that, “thanks to the UDHR, change has come and there is reason for optimism for the future of the African child.”

The competition for the annual Human Rights Essay Award is open to legal scholars across the globe. The Anyiam-Osigwe Consortium essentially serves as a Corporate Banner for a number of autonomous corporations, Associates and Joint Ventures entities; with activities covering Shipping, Oil & Gas, Automation and Control Solutions, EPC, Mining, Legal Services, Information Technology and Telecommunications, Aviation, Civil Engineering/Construction, Banking and Finance, Stock Broking/Issuing House, Real Estate, Media, Hotel and Leisure, Agriculture and Trading.

Whilst control of the respective consortium members is autonomous, the organizational framework allows for performance monitoring and efficient utilization of joint resources. The Consortium applies the synergy of local and international mix that enables the various entities within the Consortium to optimize performance and output and benefit from the growing impact of globalization in its various spheres of interest.

A Council of Directors presides over the activities of the Consortium. This Council is advised by an Honourary Advisory Board composed of accomplished senior citizens business executives and elder statesmen whose experience and expertise assist the Consortium in formulating strategic Policies and Programmes.



The Consortium benefits from collaboration and partnership with a number of multinational business organizations and interests in China, United States, United Kingdom, India, the Middle East, South Africa, Kenya and Ghana. The Group retains strategic consultants and liaison offices in these countries.

The operational offices within Nigeria are located in Abuja, Owerri, Ishiagu, Orlu, Nkwerre, Warri, Port Harcourt and Yenegoa.

The Consortium’s overall activities and endeavors are underpinned by a keen sense of commitment to duty and high degree of cohesion anchored on the Anyiam-Osigwe concept of the Group Mind, a philosophical nexus, which distills the totality of the consortium members into a commonality of purpose and unison in action.

The Coordinating Executive Directors of the Consortium are technocrats whose pursuit of formal school education saw them in acknowledged and widely respected institutions in the United Kingdom and the USA. But of greater impact is the holistic up-bringing as well as the value system they acquired from the entrepreneurial prowess and moral grounding of Emmanuel Onyechere Osigwe Anyiam-Osigwe who is both a father and the first Chief Executive of the Consortium.

I welcome this opportunity to tell you about Crown Crest Global Engineers Ltd, an affiliate of Harding — Lawson Associates of USA, and about the consulting engineering services we provide.

Since HLA was founded in 1957, the company has grown steadily — both in size and in the breadth of technical capabilities it offers to its clients. To help maintain this growth, each of its offices and, each of its consulting assignment, is the direct responsibility of one of its principals. HLA is owned entirely by its key professional employees.

I joined Harding-Lawson Associates in 1977 in Houston, USA as a consultant in Geotechnical Engineering/Project Management. I was subsequently moved to HLA's Headquarters in San Rafael, California, USA, in 1979, as an Associate from where I co-ordinated HLA's African Operations. My relationship with HLA grew in leaps and bounds to the extent that it led to the setting up of Harding - Lawson Associates, Nigeria in late 1979 under my guidance and leadership. The major project that gave us a strong foothold in Nigeria from the early 1980 was the Bonny LNG Project and a host of other projects in the oil and Gas sector of the economy.

HLA - Nigeria was subsequently re-structured to become Christ Joyce & Associates LTD in 2006, although we continued to operate as HLA - Nigeria until recently when the name of the company was changed from Chris Joyce & Associates LTD to: CROWN CREST GLOBAL engineers ltd (affiliate of HLA) so as to conform with the requirement of COREN that all consulting outfits in Nigeria must have consulting and/or Engineering as part of its name.

Although Crown Crest Global Engineers Ltd. is now an Independent Nigerian Company, however, it is pertinent to observe that the robust professional relationship the chairman of CCG had had with Harding Lawson Associates, USA, CCG has been provided a window through which it could mobilize the resources of world class professional consultants in all areas of engineering to execute any assignment in Nigeria.



The scope of services of Crown Crest Global Engineers Ltd includes preliminary planning and feasibility studies, investigations and design, project management and a wide variety of consulting and quality control services that are provided during and after construction.
