obembet: A list of Chelsea player wages has emerged online following Roman Abramovich's decision to sell the club.
It was announced on Wednesday that billionaire owner Abramovich intended to sell in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
The 55-year-old has already received offers and is looking to complete a transaction as soon as possible, with sanctions from UK parliament looming.
Chelsea are one of the wealthiest clubs in England as it stands and Abramovich's funds have helped them recruit some top quality players.
Data company Spotrac have revealed which players are earning most at Stamford Bridge and Romelu Lukaku is leading the way.

shinealight: You’re not saying anything new. Why did Atiku, Kwankwaso,Tambuwal and Saraki leave APC? ... It’s because they had no permanent stake in the Merger and were only there for purely selfish reasons. They were just individual loafers with no party structure to lay claim to.... that’s why they could just pack their bags to leave. Now you want to compare these loafers to Tinubu who came with a registered party he had laboured for several years to build up from AD to ACN with several governors and virtually the entire SW under his leadership. I wonder who is in a position to sit the other down as you claim? Those guys were loafers and they remain loafers...even today!! As to whether they leave or not wasn't the original argument. I only argued that they were more influential in 2015 to buhari victory than the ACN blocks. As a testament to the fact that even tinubu wife complained bitterly how his husband was sidelined from 2015 to 2018 when those guys left. Tinubu was beaten squarely by those guys that he was only compensated with ministerial appointments so I can boldly say they sat Tinubu's down then. When half of dem left in 2018, buhari didn't find it easy in 2019. Just imagined it they all left? Amechi, Adamu that buhari is projecting for APC national chairman was also part of the new PDP den, any thing that made that man becomes the new chairman of APC, Amechi or anyone else from nPDP that remains will be the next APC Presidential candidate. Buhari won kano, Kaduna, Katsina, gombe, adamawa, zamfara, yobe, bauchi, jigawa, niger, sokoto. It doesn't matter if the gov were pdp or not. He cleared most northern states yet couldn't become president.
In 2015, Tinubu used the media to rebrand and introduced buhari to Nigerians as a reformist n a genuine nationalist who has the magic broom to instill discipline and defeat corruption. Tinubu also used his influence to ensure foreign powers back buhari. Foreign powers made it clear to Jonathan he wasn't coming back. Below is the picture of USA foreign secretary meeting with opposition stalwarts in 2015 prior to the election. Where are your so called northern npdp gov.

shinealight: No point in going further into this as we have differing perceptions on the issue. You simply do not understand the concept of Merger and what it entails but keep citing contributions of certain individuals who have since taken to their heels because they had nothing permanent at stake, while the true Merger partners appreciate the near permanence of the relationship and are therefore showing greater commitment! U brought the issue of merger and I explained to u that the merger that formed APC wasn't just CPC and ACN but it was a collection of different parties namely ANPP that brought 2 states, ACN brought 5stats, nPDP brought 6states, CPC brought 1, APGA brought 1. Those were the official parties that formed APC in 2014. Maybe because I didn't break it down that's why u are still confused. Please go back to 2014 to confirmed. I only digress a little to tell u that among these parties that formed APC, the nPDP were the more influential in making buhari president and not the ACN blocks. I even digress by telling u that why 6govs from nPDP officially joined the merger in 2014, some of other PDP govs stayed back to destabilized PDP from within. Ok to tell you how influential the nPDP guys was then, during the election of principal officers in the national assembly after the election, they were the ones that controlled the main seats defeating ACN guys. Tinubu can only make noise in APC because some of those guys have left. Atiku, kwakwaso, saraki etc can't be in d same party with tinubu and tinubu will be making noise. They will seat him down. Hope u get my point now? |

SIRTee15: Your argument has nothing to do with tinubu 2023 ambition. It's to make it clear that the single most significant factor that made buhari president in 2015 was Tinubu. Buhari has been winning northern states prior to 2015 but couldn't become president. Fact. Tinubu changed his story. Fact. I'm not wrong because facts don't lie. Tinubu changed his story by giving him votes not upto 2million? . Joke of the year If he was dat so important to buhari during the 2015 election, why was the wife crying upandan that his husband have being sidelined after the election and even down to 2018 before some of the new PDP guys left. The reason tinubu still have a little say in APC was because of what happened in 2019 when 50% of the nPDP guys left. If not, tinubu would just have been one of them. That is the fact. Atiku, kwakwaso, saraki, and tinubu can't be in the same party and tinubu will be making noise. They will seat him down. To tell how powerful the new nPDP guys were den. After buhari election when they wanted to elect principal officers in the national assembly, didn't u see what happened? Where all tinubu boys were defeated then. shinealight: He played a critical role by bringing five governors to the Merger! Do you know what a Merger is? ….it means completely giving up your own identity and showing the willingness to subsume your personal preferences under someone else’s dictation. It was a major sacrifice ….which he may even be regretting now considering the way he’s being treated. You are merely talking about individual influences which may also count for something as every support is worthy of note but all those individual contributions are as Nothing when it comes to birthing a new enterprise or organisation. It is like disputing the role of a Woman in childbirth and saying that the father and the rest of the family also helped. Yes, no doubt….but the Woman who goes into labour and voluntarily puts herself between life and death can never be pushed aside!! Let me make a clearer picture of what happened in 2015 to you. Yes he brought 5 states with a combined votes of not upto 2million. Yes he tried. Now in 2015, Amechi was the gov of river state and chairman of Nigeria govs forum and he relinquished his state to APC. Babagida Aliu was the gov of Niger state and chairman northern gov forum, he didn't decamped to APC but was a mole in PDP then of which he still says till today that he worked for APC in 2015 why he was in PDP. Saraki was the Senate president and he made gov Ahmed the gov of kwara state then so they both decamped to APC, tambuwal was speaker of house of rep and wamako was sokoto state gov( they are both from sokoto) they decamped to APC, adamawa, bauchi, jigawa, etc govs den they all followed the nPDP den and decamped to APC. Dakwabo stay back in PDP to act as a mole. The list is endless my guy . Even buhari knows all these. Amechi might not have delivered river state but the money he brought was just too much. backbencher: We need far more than that to build one refinery.
Building refineries in Nigeria does not mean cheap fuel. Refineries cost money to maintain, and expand and upgrade, plus refining fuel is a very expensive process.
Niger has oil and refines fuel at home. One liter costs N350.
Even the fuel we refine abroad in substandard refineries costs N250 at least, if not more, per liter to produce.
Subsides are there because 1) Nigerians want them 2) Nigerians want them 3) Governments prefer them, because they are scared of the implicaitons of no subsides (prices being higher for everything else). The subsidies on the other hand are bad for our economy and refining capacity.
Because, governments in Nigeria are afraid of the high price bit resulting from removing subsides., and that includes this government (Buhari would have kept fuel at N87, if Emefiele and Kalichukwu had not talked him out of it in 2015). I myself support subsidy removal totally, and have done so since 2012, but anytime I suggest it on this site, I get cursed to high heavens.
Removing subsidy would have guaranteed increased investment in domestic refining..in plain englisch, more refineries. Yes. But these refineries projects can be funded from other sources if they really want to do it. That's my argument. If dangote can build a standard refinery, why can't govt build? The money they are borrowing from China upandan, what are they using it for? What happened to internal generated revenues? The money that goes into ilegal private pockets in these country can be stopped if they are willing to do it. We dont have to sell fuel for a thousand naira a liter b4 we can build standard functioning refineries. Mind u, if they don't build this things now, we will buy for that same #1000 a little very soon. Suspend other stuffs and do it now and export it to other country to generate more money to finance other projects. Is just as simple as dat |

Was El Rufai controlling Kaduna, etc. These guys were influential “individuals” not necessarily in control of the political machinery of the State which had their own opinionated governors (not stooges). Now babagida aliu was the then gov of Niger state and double as the chairman of northern govs forum so he has says in his state at least 2. Dakwabo was the gov of gombe state then. Tambuwal was speaker of house of rep along side gov wamako who was sokoto state gov den. Saraki was a god in kwara state then, he controlled gov Ahmed. Atiku control adamawa which u can testify that wen he left the state went back to PDP. Kwakwaso owes kano which u can testify that wen he left it became difficult for APC to win even with federal might. Do u want me to continue listing them for U? backbencher: 1.Taking off 50% of the senators and reps won't pay for the costs of production. To put things in perspective, budget for national assembly is at least 1.5 trillion naira in total. Half of that is 500 billion naira. Subsidy costs in both the power and petrol sectors exceed 2 trillon annually...and they are rising. Projects cost is even higher...we need to do a lot of building and repairing. Power sector, even when they have a good year, are always at least one trillion naira short of what they need to fix things.
2.At the end of the day, the priniciple is still the same. Run power and petrol profitably, and they would grow. The GSM folks were allowed to charge whatever they wanted...even when service was so poor (at one point someone could not call a Econet, now Airtel line with an MTN line, which is how Nigerians started having two sim cards)..and they used the profit to fix things.
3.The problem with your argument is that you can extend it to other sectors. Like government can wake up and say that yam is too expensive and force yam sellers to sell yam at n200 per tuber. Where is the yam seller going to get money to pay his supplier, and by extension the transporters, and the farmers that produce the yam, at N200 per tuber.? Do that 50% for 4years and use it to build refineries. Nobody is asking them to subsidise. This govt never believed in subsidy until they came in. Why couldn't they used the idea they had then which is build more standard refineries and end this subsidy once and for all. They won't because they are benefiting from it. There is more to this subsidy issue than we read on papers. And if we don't do the needful now, the price of fuel will continue to increase. The more population increase, the more the demand will increase and the more govt will have to pay to bring it , thereby resulting into increment in price. The amount OBJ govt spent in bringing it, wasn't the same Yaradua and GEJ spent, isn't the same buhari govt is paying now. Logistics and cost of refining will definitely increase with time and that will in turn affect the final price. U pay money to transport it to abroad and u pay money to bring it back when everything can be done here. |

Why not give every interested candidates a level playing ground to test their popularity at the primaries instead of trying to force or choose through consensus. Tinubu is not saying you should adopt him as a consensus candidate and that's the reason he was moving around to solicit for support all over the country such that during primaries, he would have greater support. backbencher: Well, yeah, but to maintain and expand that capacity, you need to make a profit selling power. To fix the transmission, you need to make enough of a profit selling power to raise the money
I can have 1000 acres of tomato under cultivation, but if I am selling at a loss, the same way DISCOS and GENCOS sell power at a loss, I would be losing money.
As for fuel, the same thing. In order to keep petrol subsidised, NNPC sold fuel at a loss, the result of which not enough profit to keep up our refineries, or to build new ones, and thus they all broke down. There are a lot of ways to generate revenue to finance these projects without putting burden on the citizen. The cost of governance is too high. Just take off 50% they pay to senators and house of rep members and even the presidency and stop the allowances for a while, but they won't do it |

Invictuse: Is that why he kept losing 3 straight times even when he won those northern state outrightly.
You foolish dead brain must just show that you are born foolish at every given opportunity. Lolzzzzzzzzz I feel ur pains Eyah... Why didn't tinubu used his ACN then to become president Infact let him carry his ACN to go and become president. Goan check all the presidential election results since 2007 tinubu has never gather upto 3million votes for ACN, u are comparing to buhari that always get over 10million votes. Make I shock ur dead brain small so that he will wake up. The north PDP states changed the game in 2015 by giving up their states for buhari. Goan and asked Babagida Aliu, the Niger state gov then. He was the northern gov forum chairman and a PDP governor. He told all the northern govs then to ensure that power shift to the north irrespective of parties and they all worked towards it. Just like what ondo state gov was trying to do then that didn't work. I really feel ur pain U guys felt betrayed but ur region has been betraying the Southern regions for a minute and nothing has happened |

naija4life247: Nonsensical nonsense. A father does not take blessing from his son.
Tinubu is Buhari's political father. Buhari wept on national television bitterly before the godfather of all political godfathers Bola Ahmed Tinubu came to Buhari's aid.
Buhari who could not make himself President after three failed attempt definitely cannot make another person President.
Tinubu just went to inform Buhari that he Tinubu will be the next President, just the same way your father tells you he is going out, it's not for your permission, it is for your information.
Therefore, the lifeless terrorist hiding inside the Rock is not in a position to influence Tinubu emergence as President either positively or negatively. Buhari is too dull for that. That's why he even loses election in Abuja Municipal Lolzzzzzz. Tinubu that was not able to get 2million votes for his party in 2011 election is now the godfather to buhari that used relatively unknown CPC to gather over 12million votes in same year. Make I shock u. In 2015 general election, the total votes tinubu brought to buhari from his South west states was not up to 2million. The PDP governors in the north ensured buhari got that seat by giving up their states to APC. Lolzzzzzzzzzz I feel ur pain |
