Chapter 6
Backstabber


Tami closed his eyes, hoping his brains too burst out from the skull, luckily he was out of ammo, from behind, he saw each Z went down, a group of rugged looking people had come to their rescue, Tami suddenly found strength, he smacked the butt of the gun against the face of a Z, bringing it apart.

"Hop in" A lady shouted from the Land Rover she was in.
Tami grabbed Bisi with his right arm, pulled him on his back and carried Zilla and swiftly dashed off, the car door flinged open and quickly Tami jumped in.

The girl zoomed off, followed by three other cars behind.
"Thank you" Tami said to the girl and smiled at the other girl who was seated beside Bisi.
"Yeah, you should thank our scout that saw you, and where are you headed? "
Tami nodded his head before speaking.
"Came from Ondo for my wife and child"
The girl grinned as she rammed the car against the dead cars, creating forceful path.
"How sure are you that she's alive? "
"I know, they are alive" Tami replied and I think there might be a cure.

The girl suddenly stepped on brakes, jerking everyone forward.

"Why are they stopping? " A man said from the car behind.

The girl turned around and faced Tami then Bisi.
"Where?" the girl asked and pulled out a pistol from under the seat.
"Easy, we all need this and it's no big deal, we all want to come out from this " Tami said and at the same time calmed Zilla.
"Where is the cure?" the girl asked this time in a devilish tone.

"I won't tell you, kill me and it dies with me" Tami said angrily
"Not a problem for me" the girl said and was about pulling the trigger, then Bisi spoke.
"Stop! stop, it's me, I'm immune" Bisi said and looked at Tami who was disappointed
"Good boy, but either way, he dies"

The girl seated beside Bisi leaped forward, disarming the one with the gun, and smacked her face against the steering, sending her unconscious.
"I've always wanted to kill her" she said and pushed her out.

"Stop them, something is wrong, stop them by all means"

The girl took a detour and zoomed off.

"Bidemi, are you alright? " the man asked, puling the girl up to her feet.

"The little boy is immune, I know Zara is trying to get the money to herself, not that she's willing to help, follow them, and Zara is mine" Bidemi shouted and pulled off her jacket.

Entering into Lagos, Tami looked ahead, seeing there was no way the journey could continue with car, either a motorcycle of they did the rest with their legs, everywhere was disorganized and locked down.
"We have to continue on foot" Tami said and picked up the bag in the bag, and threw a bottled water at the boy

"How old are you? "
"Thirteen, I'm Bisi "

Tami shielded his face from the scorching sun sigh his right hand, seeing a motorcycle ahead, he stopped for once, wondering how it would be convenient for him to handle it with an arm missing.
Bisi assisted him in pulling the motorcycle up, Tami groaned in pain and hit down the stater while Bisi rotated the left handle.
"Come-on" Tami said as he attempted the third time.
A white van screeched slowly on the floor, which got Tami's and BISI's attention, with Zilla standing alert
"What's that? " Bisi asked in fear and looked at Tami who also was dead scared.
"Come-on let's start this and get the hell out"
He hit down the starter, the motorcycle let an engine revive sound and died down again.
"Check for fuel" Bisi suggested.

The car moved again, this time another car also moved.
"There's enough " Tami said in low tone.
Zilla let out a bark and took a step forward, it suddenly dashed at the moving van, slide beneath it, and dashed out back at Tami.

The van flew with force into mid air and somersaulted over Tami's head. Before them was a very huge Z, well built with red burning eyes.

"Good, Lagos has another version of Emo" Tami said and kicked the starter again while Bisi rotated the handle.
Another Z surfaced behind the first, also huge in size, they growled as they moved forward.
"We have to leave this and run" Bisi shouted.
Tami fired the gun at the Zs, seeing it inflicted just little pain in them, he grabbed the bag and ran after Bisi while Zilla also followed behind.

The shadows of a falling car, covered them, stopping abruptly, the car crashed before them, quickly Bisi jumped over and continued running.
"This kid is somehow enhnaced" Tami said, seeing how Bisi ran and leaped over cars.

A Z suddenly showed up before Bisi, who didn't think twice before using his knee to smack the fave of the Z, shattering it completely into pieces.

More Zs began to show, totally rounding the up. Tami unzipped the bag and brought out two pistols.
"Do you know how to her these? "
"No, only in movies I've seen them" Bisi replied.

"Good, now take"
Tami fired round, bringing the Zs down, while Bisi also tried shooting, somehow the force tore his right palm
"I can't use it"
"Law low" Tami shouted, only to see the more he killed them, the more they increased, and we're quickly closing down on him.
"This is where we die, I'll rather end my life, than become one" Tami said and placed the gun on his head, closed his eyes and pulled the trigger.

Chapter Five
The Gold Z

Tami pushed the almost the door with his leg, walking steady and slowly, stepping on fired leaves on the floor, he heard a soft growl and quickly turned around, suddenly the door shut itself letting out a loud sound, he tried keeping his cool, even being at the disadvantage of loosing a hand. He held the gun up and supported it beneath with the remains of his left arm.

The windows of the building also came shut, creating total darkness.
Tami felt a cold hand around his neck, and immediately pulled the trigger of the gun, shooting at random places.
He felt his leg his someone, he shot at a direction he though a window should be. The window came apart, shredded into pieces, allowing illumination into the building.

Tami saw both men laying lifeless on the ground and quickly searched them for the car key, while he dropped the rifle in the ground.

"You, brought this upon us! " a boy's voice said from a dark corner.
Tami was startled and stood up
"The way I see it, we brought this upon ourselves,nobody knows the cure" Tami replied and approached the corner, hanging the gun on his body.

"Come out, don't be scared "
"Are you sure?"
"I won't hurt you"

A little boy dressed in red round neck shirt and a tree quarter, having a pair of sneakers on his legs came out, revealing his golden color skin.
"You look different" Tami said, rigged to his position.
"I'm immune, the first bite turned my skin this way" The bit said and took a step backward.
"I'm amazed, maybe we have hope, come, be my tracks companion "

Getting to the borders, the driver killed the truck engine and came down, followed by the other, then Tami jumped down from the back.
"Thanks brothers " Tami said and stretched his hand to receive the car key.
"Not so soon" the heavily bearded man said and looked at Tami's missing arm.

"Maggi, needs to be thought a lesson, you see, she might have proved smart, but yet, now, everywhere is no man's land" The man said and whistled.
"Chill, what's wrong? " Tami asked, trying to buy himself time and figure out his next move

"She hijacked my brother's plan and left him to get infected, I've thought of ways to hurt her, then here you are"

The second man, came out from an abandoned building, dropping a Z behind him, bound in chains.
"It'll hurt her to see you that way" The man said and smiled wickedly.
Swiftly, Tami kicked him on the groin and pinned him by the neck, retrieved his gun and placed it on the man's head.
"I won't think twice, leave that Z and turn around" Tami shouted, and pressed down the clip of the revolver, with his thumb.

"I'm warning you" Tami shouted, and pressed the barrel on the man's chin.

Slowly the man let the Z alone and stepped aside, from behind Tami, a Z walked slowly, trying not to make its target aware, seeing the the man moved aside, and spoke
"We are only pained, nothing else, leave him and we promise to be on our way"
Zilla jumped down from the truck and ran at the Z behind Tami ramming itself into the Z, Tami loosed concentration, looked back and quickly the heavily bearded man, loosed himself from Tami's grip and pushed him at the Z.
Tami rolled away from the Z, slightly dodging the slash the Z sent at him.
Both men, immediately took to their heels, right into the abandoned building.
The Z grabbed Zilla and was about ripping it off, when a bullet pierced it's head.
"Leave me dog, Zilla, get over here" Tami looked at the building and walked at it.
"I need that key" he said and grabbed an assualt rifle and tucked two cartridges into his pocket.
"Zilla, wait here" he said and ran towards the building.

Chapter Four
Survivors 2

Tami slowly opened his eyes, welcomed by the fresh sweet aroma of locally made tea, he turned his head to left, and saw movement of people around him, chattering of children, laughter from every corner, even Zilla was quite excited as it wagged it's tail, turning round a child
"Argh! " Tami groaned as he stood up.
"Your dog, it's a true fighter, what's his name? " a cool feminine voice said from the end of the room
Tami turned towards the voice and smiled on seeing the familiar face
"Maggi" he said in excitement.
Maggi before the apocalypse was a very successful cloth dealer, and also you wife's younger sister.
"Why are you alone, my sister" Maggi said, her countenance instantly changing.
"Alive, they went to Lagos for her friends party and also decided to spend some time with my mother" Tami said and let out a wince.
"I'm relieved to hear that, so you're going for them? "
"Yeah" Tami replied and looked around.
"You lost an arm"
"Not completely, this could still deal some damage"
Maggi stood up from the chair and walked towards the door.
"Here, the infection rate is high, hearing of the case from other part of the country, I immediately led a team of able bodied, securing our future, I persuaded a corrupt friend of mine in the government to change papers, you know what that means, purchased the entire 30,000 acres of land here in Ibadan, so literally it's a humble town with enough security " Maggi said, with a bossy voice.
"You are playing politicsin here" Tami replied
"In every situation we must survive"

Tami followed Maggi outside, surprised by the effort Maggi had put into it, transformed it into a haven, far from the main city
"Zilla" Tami shouted at the dog, who immediately ran to him.
"Maggi, we have to leave as soon as possible, so I can bring them back, I'll be needing little resources, food, ammunition, water and the likes" Tami said calmly.


Tami three the last of the bottled water into the truck, and tucked a revolver into his trouser.
"I picked two men, to see you off the borders and make sure you're safe until you leave Ibadan" Maggi said and tapped the body of the truck.
"Thanks, I'll contact you" Tami said and climbed at the back of the truck, strapped the machine gun above the truck tightly and tapped the truck and immediately the truck zoomed off.

Tami felt a hard bite on his left arm, following instinct he kicked the Z, and quickly made for the door, within the span of seconds he began to feel fever running through him, his temperature was beginning to rise, he quickly shot the door against the Z and crawled on the floor in pains.
"No, I'd rather die, than become one of these" Tami said.
The light in the hotel came on, Tami looked at his arm that was bitten and saw it already went pale, and speedily it was moving through his body, with his veins becoming blue.

He made his way to the hotel kitchen, with Zilla following behind, he tore a piece of cloth and tied it around his arm, above the infected area and grabbed a huge kitchen knife from the shelf.
"God, please make this work" Tami said and began breathing heavily, sweat breaking out involuntary from his face, the infection was speedily catching up with him.

He dipped pieces of cloth into his mouth, to prevent his scream from letting out and with one swing, Tami chopped off his left arm, from the elbow downward.

He let out a loud muffling cry, as blood oozed out from his hand, the pan which he had left of fire, he grabbed it by the handle and burnt his amputated arm to fry the surface, so as to stop the blood flow.
"Agh Agh, hmm" Tami panted as he fell exhausted to the ground, feeling weak in every part of his body, his prayers were to survive andat the state he was, not to be found by any Z.

Zilla whimpered as a soft growl came from the exit door of the kitchen, as slowly became louder.
"No" Tami said and went unconscious

He held the pistol firmly, being at alert, since they were about three Emos, it would be foolish to attack first since they didn't bother attacking him or pass any form of threat on him.
He laid the dog on the counter and pulled the shopping basket to himself, gathering bottle waters into it, on the far end where were loads of canned food, but there were three infected humans there.
"I'll just have to take the risk " he said and took cautious steps followed by the whimpering of the dog.
"Shhhssshh, they seems to be nice"
As he moved forward, the Emos stepped aside, allowing him passage, taking what he needed, Tami moved to the next shelf and took more important things.
"Alright, let's go" He said and grabbed the dog.
"Check out" An Emo said and began approaching him.
"Check out " another Emo said and also began to approach him, this time they looked deadly.
"Who needs payment at a time like this? " Tami shouted and luckily the hard object a Km Emo threw at him, slightly missed his head, breaking the glass of the door.
Tami held the basket, put the dog into it and retrieved his pistol, seeing how fast they were approaching, Tami took to his heel, getting to the car, he threw the basket into the car, jumped in and ignited the engine.
"The dead are also asking for cash" Tami laughed as he zoomed off.

Chapter Three
Survivors

Tami tuned the radio in the car, from one station to another only to meet static noises.
"Finally" Tami said with joy as he heard a voice from the radio.
"If you're hearing this, you are already of the situation, there are bases at this points, City Hall go every states, Barracks, report has it that each Local and International Airport are saf......" the radio suddenly went static.
"Mary, I hope you're safe".

Zilla, the name Tami gave to the dog, barked loudly, drawing Tami's attention to it, driving in the lonely street, Tami could see few normal humans walking about.
"How come this place have low infection rate? " he asked himself as he entered into the city.
He pulled his car on a safe side, luckily they had power supply.
"Excuse me, please I need to power up my phone" He said to a lady who looked weary, and stained all over.
"Come in, we have to leave the city, scout reported Zs are closing in rapidly " the lady said and led the way into her home.

She offered Tami a cup of cold water and help him charge his phone, and also offered Zilla a bowl of water which it drank hastily.

On one percent, Tami powered on his phone and felt like it took forever to boot, he scrolled through the contact and dialed his wife's number.
He felt relived as the phone rang.
"Tami, we are a.......... " the phone suddenly disconnected
Tami felt relived hearing his wife's voice but the she was trying to pass an important message.
"Damn " he said as effort to get through were futile, the line was totally not reachable.
"Thank you" he thanked the lady and hurried out followed by Zilla.
Getting outside, Tami felt rage, seeing the jeep was gone, the guns, foods and water.
He screamed in annoyance, not even a pistol with him.
"We should get a car somewhere"
Tami walked up to pickup van and attempted opening the door when he heard a voice.
"Move away or I won't regret driving this pitch fork into you"
Tami sighed and turned around, moving aside, he suddenly jumped on the man, disarmed him and kicked him on the stomach, he quickly got into the van, while Zilla smartly hopped into the back of the van, and swiftly Tami drove out of the town.


It's getting late already, he said and turned on the headlights of the van, the van's engine slowly died down, Tami turned the ignition, then noticed the fuel was finished.
"No not this time, I'm in middle of nowhere"

Tami alighted and sat on the tarred road, feeling exhausted, he leaned on the body of the car.
Zilla whimpered, and had Kat's tails within its legs and leaned by Tami.
"I feel that too" Tami said and stood up, he opened the door of the van and grabbed a huge spanner from under the drivers seat.
"I'm surviving this" he said and ran down the empty vast highway.

A loud growl came from the right, looking at the direction, Tami saw two hefty Zs running at him.
"Run, Zilla, run" he shouted and dashed forward, running as his legs could carry him.
A Z suddenly jumped out from the side, quickly Tami spanked it's head with the spanner with him, and dodged the attack quickly, panting loudly, he saw a hotel about five minutes ahead.
He bent down and picked Zilla up, before him were two Zs who dashed at him also.
Getting closer, Tami threw the spanner with him, at the Z on the right, and kicked the other on the stomach, quickly he dashed into the building of the hotel, seeing more Zs, he made his way into the hotel, getting to the reception desk, a Z suddenly grabbed Tami by the waist, and pulled him down, attempting to bite Tami's neck, Tami slapped it on the face and bite it's neck, and gathered strength to snapped it's neck.
"Zilla" he shouted and ran into a room and locked the door behind, suddenly the hotel generator went off.
"Welcome to my country" Tami said and heard a soft growl in the room.

Introduction

This was how it started, in our wildest dream we never thought something like this would befall mankind, humans going extinct, because of one simple mistake.
It all started when somehow the entire bloods in the blood bank of the Marina Hospital became contaminated, without proper check, they donated it to patients who needed it, changing their body DNA, first they died, then their skin rapidly growing pale, their eyeballs completely lost in their socket, with peeling skins, then come back to life, with increased strength, speed, sense of smell, unending thirst for blood.

Marina Hospital, Akure, Ondo State Nigeria.
Ward 103
Three doctors walked into the ward, while an assistant nurse followed behind, the patient already cut open, and ready to be operated on, an doctor checked the patient's pulse and signalled to the nurse to set for blood transfusion.
"Alright, pass it"

The patient opened her eyes and exhaled deeply, her eyes already lost within its socket. She roughly removed all strings on her body and stood up from the bed, just then a nurse walked in.
With swiftness, the lady grabbed the nurse threw her on the bed and in an instance leaped on the nurse, who had no slight chance to strike back.
The patient instantly dipped her teeth into the nurse's neck and bite it off, which splattered blood all over.
Growling hard, the patient raised her head, smelling fresh blood approaching, quickly hid herself behind the door.

That's was how it started and seemed I'm the only one alive, the whole world is turned upside down, this things has spread so rapidly, faster than wild fire, no cure, no visible alternative, I have families out of the state, I hope there alive, the network is jammed, if you're hearing this, please be safe.

Chapter One
Rally Fire Arms

Tami peeped through the little hole on the window on the left wing of the room, five minutes ago, was heavy banging on the door and windows of the house, peeping through the window, he saw the devastated empty street laid in ruins, a former shadow of itself, burnt building, infected dogs, even her.
Mr James he used to know to be very nice, was now even more brutal since he had been infected.
"Lord" Tami said and held tight to the crowbar on his chair and looked through the hole, sighting his car outside, waiting for the perfect moment to dash out.

Emo as he had named them in his Yoruba dialect, closely translated to strange or abnormal, were active during both at night and day, never relenting.

Seeing the perfect moment, Tami hanged his bag around his back, with great force, he smashed the door opened and dashed for his car, he jumped over a crippled Emo, and unknowingly the car keys fell to the ground.
"Argh! " he screamed in frustration, noticing the key on the floor, but getting it was close to impossible, Emos were already coming for him, from every angle.
He smashed the crowbar on the glass frame of the car and opened the lock from inside, entering into the car, he pulled out some wires by the steering of the car and, used his teeth to cut some wires, joining it together, the car revived and Tami pulled the gear on reverse.
THUD!!
"Ohh, Mr Sammy, I'm sorry but you're long dead" Tami said and climbed on the Emo, drifting through the corner.
Tami drove for three hours, before he could get to the nearest military barrack, if he would continue this journey, to get to his wife and kids, and if there was a cure, he'd be needing that too, he would be needing all the military arms he could get, penetrating the barrack would be a great deal.

Stopping before the military gate, Tami increased the engine power and watched as Emo soldiers paraded the gate.
Stepping on the accelerator, Tami smashed through the gate, hitting every Emo on his path, he took the right turn, and turned to the left, rapid gunfire suddenly came at the car, which made Tami loose control, smashing against a barricade the car tumbled upside down.
"Do they also learn to shoot guns? " Tami asked himself and crawled out, luckily sustaining minor injuries and some bruise on his face. Leaning by the car, Tami saw three Emos walking towards the car, with heavy fire power, sure, they knew he wasn't dead.
Tami crawled and made his way into the tent before him.
A soft growl came behind him, already inside the tent, quickly he dived to the left, as the Emo behind him leaped towards him, without delay, the Emo dashed at him and grabbed him by the neck, raised him up into the air and smashed him on the table.
"Arggghhhh" Tami screamed in pain, sighting a pistol inches away, Tami used his leg to hit the Emo, creating space to grabbed the gun. Tami wasted no time in sending two shots into the Emo, one on the chest and another on the head.

Three more Emos ran into the tent, instantly Tami shot them dead, and took thier guns, An Ak47, Assault rifle and a revolver.
"Grenades " Tami said and peeped outside, walking in stealth, leaning on in tent to another, to avoid been detected.

Tami walked into the Arsenal, grabbing a bag on the table and unzipped it, he began offloading the things he needed.
"You hands where I can see them" A bold masculine voice said behind him, sending cold chill through his spine.
"Finally a real human" Tami said and slowly turned around with is hands in the air.
"Better" the man said and dropped his gun.
"You're lucky to be alive, I'm Mike" the man said and sighed relive.
"Tamilore, Tami for short, can I continue? "
"Sure, gather as much as you need" Mike replied and continued
"Crazy things going on, all my transmission hasn't gotten any reply, there's is hope we are not the only ones alive, at least I thought I was the only one and here you are "
Tami zipped the bag, contended with what he already gathered
"I have to get to my wife, there are in Lagos, went on vacation, I believe they are alive" Tami said and carried the bag.
"Be safe man, I'll remain here, I know this place better than these Walking Dead, I'm safe here, at least for the main time " Mike said and handed Tami a car key
"Right outside, a desert Runner" He said.
"Thanks" Tami said and ran out, threw the bag into the military jeep and jumped in, started the car and zoomed off.

Chapter Two
Running Dog

Driving through the highway, Tami wrapped a handkerchief around his face, and trailed his hair which he plaited into rows, he increased the speed and gulped hard, feeling thirsty.
He heard loud barking sound and dropped the gear by one, as the barking faded Tami pulled the hear forward and suddenly a dog ran into the highway. Tami stepped on brakes, which made the back tires burn the tarred road.
Tami grabbed the Assault rifle, and jumped down the jeep, walking cautiously, he cocked the gun, hearing weak whimpering sound.
Three huge dogs ran into the highway and halted seeing Tami, thier look could tell they were also infected, as their rib cage looked fatter than thier entire body, with long canines.
Tami walked forward and saw the tired dog, he was sure it ran for survival and was looking up to him.
"Stay calm " Tami said and aimed at the infected dogs, and shot the one in the middle.
The other dogs ran forward with great speed, jumping on Tami, who didn't waste time in using the butt of the gun to smash the dig in the ribs.
The second dog also jumped on Tami, pushing him down, it attempted a bite, quickly Tami, used the gun to guide the attack and punched the dog, reached to his feet and pulled out a pistol and shot at both dogs.
"Bloody animal" he said and stood up.
"Hey" he said and turned towards the Basenji breed dog, which was extremely exhausted
"You're a fighter" Tami said and carried the dog.

Tami pulled the car in front of a Mini Mart and carried the dog on his arm, used his leg to push the door and went in.

S1 E9

Sun dust stood by the door, watching as Ezra lifted Eze above the ground, and pinned him to the wall.
"I'll ask you one last time, what do you know about me?" Ezra asked choking Eze.
Eze smiled and placed his hand on Ezra's hand, which made Ezra felt weak, and released the grip on Eze.
"What's that? " Sun Dust asked in surprise.
"I'll tell you everything you want to know, but then you'll go up against me, I want to taste the feel of a true fight"
Ezra grinned and raised his head,
"It's useless, talk now or I'd help you do that " Ezra said
"Alright suit yourself"

Eze suddenly crashed out from the room, straight into the arena, which startled everyone.
Ezra stood by the broken part of the room, sun dust behind him.
"What's wrong with those two? " Black lightning asked himself and grinned.
Ezra jumped down into the arena, raising dust up
"This is not the fight we should be having today, but with the looks of things, this will be a very wild one, Ezra vs Eze" the commentator shouted in excitement
"I'll tell you, but then, you'll take it along to your grave"

Eze's body took another shape entirely, turning into flames, scorching flame, that it heated up everyone in the arena.
"This is unbelievable, the super flame is one and only E.M.D.C Director who suddenly disappeared, he has been among us all this while "

Ezra grinned and dashed at Eze who immediately shot out flames from his hand, the collision sensing Ezra off balance.
He grabbed Ezra by the neck and raised him up, then smashed him to the ground.
"I'll tell you this, look closer" he said and punched Ezra on the face which sent him crashing into the ground, making a slight crater.
"I lead the elemental troop that raided your home" Eze said and grabbed Ezra's arm, dislocated it completely and twisted it around.
"Arrghhh " Ezra shouted

"He is killing him" Black lightning said and jumped into the arena, and struck at Eze.
Seeing the Bolt hurling at him, Eze grabbed Ezra and placed him forward, allowing the Bolt to strike Ezra and also sent flames at Black lightning
"You should have died a long time, I only needed you to reach the peak of your power, so I can harness it and become a god" EE said wickedly.

Sun dust slid down the building, dashing at Eze, she felt her power surge within her and began to grow brightly, that the heat from her body began to melt the pillars of the arena.

"I hope he survives it" the man in glasses from the control room said, sweating on both palms.

"You're strong, but I am stronger " Elder Dominator said and flinged Ezra against a truck.
