dominique:So what do they do with people captured during the Oro festivals? |
It's not Law enforcement that is harrasing the residents. It's the government Touts popularly called urchins. Sanwo should note that we are smart. We understand the problem. He clearly is trying to avoid trouble by not mentioning the real culprits. Who is harrasing people at Mushin and Oshodi? |
dominique:Is Human sacrifice now acceptable? |
I noticed most people are on the side of the Extortioners. What has happened to the Omoluabi? Looks like they now side with everything negative! On another thread, were a woman was almost used for Oro rituals, the people blamed the woman for been on the road instead of asking questions about human sacrifice. |
Someone said it's culture. What baffles me is how we don't see our shortcomings. Human sacrifice been promoted because it's the Yorubas that practice it? If it's other tribes, the people say it's bad. God help us |
Why are our people fixated on bridges? Why not modern gauge railways? Why not Ports? Why not built interstate federal roads? Who messed up with our brains? |
Maynman:Wikipedia as reference? Haha! This could have bee written by an enemy. Can you cite any reference from the Bible to support your position? |
Maynman:The God of Christians is called Yahweh. He is the God of Israel. He is not the son of El and Asheera. What I said about Allah is true. We know that Qurayshi were pagans. Even Mohammeds father Abdullah was a pagan who practiced divination. |
NairalandMD:Christians and Muslims don't serve the same God. The God of Islam is call Al-Lah. Al-Lah means, the god Lah. Lah is the moon god. He is the chief god among the 360 gods in the Kabba. He has 3 daughters called Manat, Uzzat and Allat. |
OsunOriginal:The keyword is to the exclusion of others. What that term means is that, they can fix their communities but not to the exclusion of others, |
Sanwo-Olu is doing massive works in Lagos. |
georgeakins:I said OBJ and GEJ are exemplary in not using public funds to develop ONLY their communities. Read with understanding. |
OP the right thing to do is not to use public office for personal benefit. By not using public office to develop their own communities to the exclusion of other communities, OBJ and GEJ showed that they are exemplary. Unfortunately, politicians of Northern extraction use public resources to build their own communities to the exclusion of others. Thus, making people like OP to be somewhat right. Where do I stand since its like this? I support politicians of Southern extraction concentrating infrastructural projects in the South, while engaging in human capital projects in the North. This is how I see things. |
Redesigning the notes is unneccesary. Looks like Emefiele is trying to do something for people to say "when he was CBN governor, he redesigned the notes". This does not make sense. The legacy that he should leave is single exchange rate and single digit inflation. |
ecolime:Never heard that a Yoruba man in SE wanted to buy land but was not sold to. On the contrary, Igbos have to double the payment for rent and land to get it in SW. Lets even look at the current attacks on Igbos in Lagos. My Pastor and many of our people were threatened by MCs' thugs for wanting to cast his vote in 2019. This only happens in the SW. |
Khadija won in far away Canada. Can she win in states outside her state of origin in Nigeria? |
This is heart breaking! Let them go on strike for 1 month. We the masses fully support them. |
Someone in NIN must have given the perpetrators the machines. Non-nontherners in the security service should investigate and prosecute the officers, or else, it will be swept under the rug. |
Nigerians and hypocrisy. It is okay for government officials to give it "hot-hot" to people who insult them , but its not okay for bank workers to be rude even in when they are assaulted. Nigerians and their weird judgements. |
Obi should please remove the General immediately. |
Hope the government will take on Cameroun for realising water from the Dam to destroy Nigeria. And I hope Mr President is not seeing from "it is not our northern people" perspective. |
Pat081:Hmmm. If you call EiE thieves, you need to provide evidence. For them to have the support of MacArthur Foundation, it shows they are accountable. We should support young people like EiE fighting for a better Nigeria. I believe every reasonable Nigerian wants a better Nigeria. A Nigeria where no one will capture the national treasury or use thugs to extort hard working Nigerian or exclude people from thr political process due to their ethnicity or religion or ignore the serious security challenges faced by the country so as not to offend people. |
EiE is shaking the table. The person that ticks all those boxes is BAT. |
OP, you spoke well. I have one in my former hood that kills the biggest ram during Ileya. He has built a mansion in Ikorodu now. I have another one that came from Ibadan, picked up 2X2 wood and started collecting money at a junction in my neighbourhood. No one could resist him becuase the average Lagosian has been traumatized to the point that he sees these things as normal. It is not normal. This is Lagos and this is how we live. Anyone can be a tout in Lagos. The qualification is to know how to be violent, smoke hemp, wear dirty clothes. You dont even need to have reference, your reference is the number of scar on your body. One was there to protect ISIS while the other was there to fight terrorists |
One country, two constitutions. One for the fools another for the wise and strong. Glory to the strong and wise north. |
Bash92:I may have generalized here. The issue of out of wedlock children is now very common. An entire lineage filled with touts. I grew up among one such agbole. I hope the issue is taken serious. I hope the situation is not same elsewhere, I am only speaking where I live. I grew up in an "agbole" filled with an entire lineage of hemp sellers and touts. Singl |
FaceTanke:Is a religio-cultural practice similar to that of the Spartans. It ought not to continue in this century. |
irunoko:Teni knows what she was doing. The average Yoruba man like his thugs. Their is parental failure in Yorubaland. It is a very big issue not yet acknowledged. |
Occult pastors |
What about punishing the offending officers? I did not see it in that Tweet. Its not sufficeint to retrieve the victims money. |
