During re-verification, we bring the account back to naija. Once we have docs to reverify back safely. We move. Simple.

A day is not enough. All these e-hailing coys don't care about their drivers. Still using same pricing system when fuel was #185. Absolutely insane.

It's time riders know using a private ride is premium service. If you can't afford it...use public transport.

There will be more than 10k drivers on the road now...many of which will disregard the strike action. That's why I feel these coys don't really care about all the noise these associations makes. It's only if the govt and labor unions wade in.

Check your notification on the app and email too. You'll definitely get a message to that effect within 3days of opening your account.


Once confirmed, find the option to add bank on payooneer and add your dorm (not naira acct) Within a day or two it will be approved.

Finalize the rest on Upwork by adding the payooneer.
Pls ensure that the name on Upwork and payooneer are same.

It's straight forward.

Setup a Payooneer acct( in the same name with your Upwork acct). Verify it. Ince your account is approved on payooneer. Add your dorm acct to payooneer.


Come to Upwork and add your payooneer as payment method.

You widraw using payooneer. Ince the money gets to your payooneer. U widraw to your dorm acct from your payooneer. Simple

A guy messaged me here that he needs an Upwork account on Friday. We agreed on the payment on Friday and you told many stories till Monday. This morning, u claimed I fell into your trap because you sent me a message from another WhatsApp number asking for an account.

I don't know where you reside. But if you're in Lagos. I want you to MAN -UP and let's meet, so I show you the account but won't bother selling for you. The aim is to tell you there was no trap at all.

As much as I encourage everyone to do due diligence while trading, don't also try to malign anyone with your unfounded claims and accusations.

Going forward, if you need my services, if you're not in Lagos. Don't bother. If you're not going to meet me physically...don't bother. A good name is better than silver.

When I started bolting, don't even know those areas. Got an order around agbado. The rider cancelled cos It was hell going through all that ditch. I sent him truckload of curses that day. She said I'm too slow.

Imagine someone inside agbado complaining am slow. I just marked that area that day.

Good evening everyone, pls have been getting several mails on how to setup/verify USA/Canada accts from naija. Pls note am not doing this for now until the method is perfected.( presently it's 70% success rate) I don't want to ignore your messages and I don't visit here often.

In the meantime, for those using a foreign accts. When reVerification calls, don't do anything. Just change your location back to naija and reverify. It's better to run your acct as naija than to lose it all. I made that mistake ( lost my Canadian acct with $53k made) and won't want anyone in that situation again. Don't lose years of labor to such errors again.

The moment I have a perfect headway again. I'll definitely update this post. Pls don't be mad if Ignore your mail.( I'm busy).

I saw someone's post here days ago, about the drudgery with e-hailing coys. I've been checking my dashboard and the funds in my acct. The only thing I can explain is the commission bolt charges. It tells a lot. Especially for someone who controls hundreds of thousands/million's before, soon you'll know this is not for you.

The way I see people also running to embrace hp. I'm really sad...no one should be going through this on a daily for this kind of treatment. Am certain If bolt jack up the comm to 40%, people go still dey rush am.

I pray for safety for everyone on the road and may we not work in vain.

This bonus should be nothing less than 10k. Now they are reducing it. This guy's don't rate their drivers at all.

That's the hustle for you. I've used a naija acct for 6months, The experience was terrible. I use two phones. I started with a Canadian account, noticed I couldn't apply for USA offers. So I had to explore. That USA account is absolutely the best.

The only fear about foreign account is during re-verification season. The last wave of re-verification affected lots of folks. What I did was to change my location back to naija and worked with my partner till we were able to navigate that phase and verify as USA again. I don't subscribe to using VPN for foreign accts.

If you're using a foreign profile and you're asked to reverify your ID or location. First thing is to bring that acct to naija. Wait till you can find someone proven to handle your accts. Or else, it's gone.

Why did payooneer block you?

You might need to sit and get that resolved asap. To me, payooneer works best for freelancers.
While doing that, get a dorm acct with access bank and link it to your payooneer.

Wow. That's nice.( Inside this competition). I'm actually not new to Upwork, that's why its strange. As a matter of fact, 90% of the jobs have completed came through invites. I hardly send out proposal. In 2years, I've made a combined 100k on my two accts ( CANADA and USA with a writing profile). Maybe I should have asked if others also noticed a sharp decline in invites.

what's going on onUpwork lately? I've been freelancing for long to know that the Introduction of the Upwork project dashboard will not go down well for freelancers. Just as it also made fiverr look totally unattractive. Where a client gives you one bag of cement to build him a mansion.

And I don't want to assume I'm the only one affected. I get at least 3 invites daily. At least 2-3k monthly with a writing Gig. Most of my jobs are through invites.

Lately, it's like a jungle. Within minutes, more than 20 people justling for a 20$ job proposal.

Any way forward?

Na the problem I have with Lagos pilots be this. There’s no recognized association or even WhatsApp group. Everyone dey form OYO. If not for this thread on Nairaland I don’t think there’s another known converging point for Lagos drivers.

As usual, I wanted to take advantage of bolt 4k bonus. My first 3 orders cancelled it and I followed it up with some text msg to them registering my dispeasure and teaching them some basic ethics, those that insulted me - I took a mental note of that, now going forward, I'll ensure I ask riders if they are really ready for the trip before coming. Cause I don't cancellations lightly.

I was 3minutes away from a lady, she described herself and when I called, she ignored it and enter one bus and immediately cancelled the order. Ah, I don't know how I cursed her without uttering a word.

I eventually didn't chop the bonus. Owing bolt like 8k now.😌

Seriously, the competition on rida is what's giving the hustle away. I think this is why the op said rida is bullshit. Imagine going from Berger to apapa for 3.5k. the rider reduced it to 2.8k. I uninstalled rida immediately.

How many 10minutes trip you'll see unless it's your car and you're not pressured about daily target. As a newbie self, my experience in past month. I can say bolt is not their mate, and I've learnt to hit the road on days where I get 4k bonus.(at least it will pay part of my commission). No bonus, no trip. Make I kno go breakdown.

I don't mind if I make 10k a day on Rida.....cos I don't do cheap trips. My fuel still dey for me!

The only problem I have with Rida and even other apps is that, rider cancels even after you've called before going. Some won't even cancel when you're on your way. They wait for you to get there. I've learnt not to go to any PU above 10 mins. 10 mins still too much sef. These riders no send you. They are even more frustrated.

This hustle no sweet again. If you have other biz you can do, Pls do.

Imagine someone bidding 1200 from palm Avenue mushin to UNILAG, with all the traffic. Gmap showed about 32 mins but the app dey show 17 mins. I put 2k cos I wanted to use it to close and another driver accepted the 1200. No be juju be that?
