Sports › Official:gareth Bale Joins Madrid For World Record Fee Of £86million by dguyindcorner(op): 11:57am On Aug 26, 2013
Gareth Bale is free to join Real
Madrid after Tottenham agreed a
world record £86million deal
with the Spanish giants on
Sunday night, Daily Mail reports.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy
signed off the staggering move
for the PFA Player of the Year
following talks with directors in
the boardroom at White Hart
Lane.
Bale’s transfer to Real beats the
previous world record of £80m
which the Spanish giants paid to
Manchester United for Cristiano
Ronaldo in 2009.
Levy returned from talks in
Madrid with Bale’s agent
Jonathan Barnett and Tottenham
director of football Franco
Baldini to watch his club’s 1-0
victory over Swansea City after
agreeing the deal.
It is understood that the
decision to travel to Madrid to
meet Perez — who is known to
revel in these situations — was
part of a tactic designed to get
the highest possible price.
The fee represents an
extraordinary return on the £7m
Spurs paid Southampton six
years ago and will only add to
Levy’s reputation as the
toughest negotiator in the game.
It also brings to an end one of
the most protracted transfer
sagas in the history of the game
following a summer of talks.

Romance › For Men – Top 5 Ways To impress A Woman by dguyindcorner(op): 5:49pm On Aug 25, 2013
Sometimes, it is the smallest thing
that makes a lasting impression.
A single smart comment or a
couple of small gestures can
really impress a woman, while an
offensive remark or a display of
carelessness can utterly doom
your chances. A woman will
decide relatively quickly whether
or not you are date-worthy, and
all the little things you do or
don’t do will help her make up
her mind.
1. Look her in the eye
It can be tempting to look a
beautiful woman up and down,
and the more beautiful she is, the
harder it is to concentrate on the
conversation. Just remember, if
she catches you staring at her
chest when she’s telling you how
much her mom means to her,
you’ll look like a creep.
2. Be well groomed
Scraggly facial hair styles and
even a hint of body odor will kill
your chances with women.
Women want their men to be
well groomed. They want them
to look and smell good all the
time. That doesn’t mean you
necessarily have to be clean-
shaven, but any facial hair you do
have should be well maintained.
Think about it: You judge them
based on the way they look. Why
wouldn’t they do the same with
you?
3. Help her with her coat
If you’re trying to come up with
simple ways to impress women,
you might think about the kinds
of things your grandfather used
to do. Women love old-school
displays of chivalry. Helping her
put on her coat is a great
example. It is a kind, courteous
act that is not so common
anymore. That is why it will help
you stand out. It is also a good
way to increase her comfort level
with you as it allows you to get
close to her without getting too
close
4. Socialize with her friends
When deciding whether or not to
ask a woman out on a date, you
probably evaluate her
personality and her looks, among
other things like her sense of
humor and her intelligence.
Well, women do those things too,
but they also think about our
potential as partners. And one of
the things that speaks to our
potential is our ability to fit into
her social network. Women are
attracted to likable, social,
charming men, the kind of guys
their friends and families will
love. So, engage in conversation
with her friends even as you are
working your magic on her.
Impress them and you will
impress her. Just make sure it is
clear that she is the one you are
interested in.
5. gnore your phone
Nothing says, “You are not that
important….” like taking a call
from someone else or checking a
text in the middle of a
conversation. That is why
ignoring your phone is one of the
simple ways to impress women.
The culture of texting has gotten
way out of hand. Too many men
think it is perfectly acceptable to
take a phone call or fire off an e-
mail while you are on a date or
in the middle of a conversation.
Well, It is uncivil. When you are
talking to a woman, let her see
you silence your phone or turn it
off completely — show her she
has your undivided attention.

USEFUL AND HANDY USES OF
SALT !!!!
1. If you drop a whole egg on the
floor, pour salt all over the egg,
let it sit for awhile, then use
dustpan, the egg will come right
up, without all that mess.
2. Soak stained hankies in salt
water before washing.
3. Sprinkle salt on your shelves to
keep ants away.
4. Soak fish in salt water before
descaling; the scales will come
off easier.
5. Put a few grains of rice in
your saltshaker for easier
pouring.
6. Add salt to green salads to
prevent wilting.
7. Test the freshness of eggs in
a cup of salt water; fresh eggs
sink;bad ones float.

whites makes them beat up
fluffier.
10. Soak wrinkled apples in a
mildly salted water solution to
perk them up.
11. Rub salt on your pancake
griddle and your flapjacks won't
stick.
12. Soak toothbrushes in salt

Entertainment › Davido Kept It Fresh For Hours In Bed With Me – Pendo, Kenyan Girl Boasts by dguyindcorner(op): 1:52pm On Jul 31, 2013
A Kenyan socialite, Kenya’s own baad gyal
Staciey Brianar aka Pendo has been bragging
online, in interviews that she and Davido had a
romp when the superstar was in Kenya last
weekend.
Though a report from a Kenyan website says
Davido had denied knowing who Pendo was in a
press briefing while in Kenya, in a telephone
chat with another Kenyan website Ghafla.co.ke,
Pendo says her story is so true. And that she
has proof!
Excerpts from the interview below:
Nali: So what is all this wahala about
Davido blocking you off of his Facebook?
Pendo : If people had done even a little
research, they would Davido does not even have
a Facebook account. I NEVER said I was in
touch with him through Facebook. I got in
touch with him through a good friend of his
*redacted* and that’s where everything started.
He did the intro.
Nali: So, seriously, did you f**k Davido?
Pendo: Errrrrrrrrrrm (laughs cheekily) (There is
IRREFUTABLE proof that Pendo did spend
the night with Nigerian superstar, if you want
to see it plead with her on twitter @LoveStaicey
to release it.) In the meantime, have this picture
of Davido, topless, in his hotel room from his
personal instagram. Maybe Pendo took it #troll
Nali: So why did you do this? Do you do
this for money?
Pendo: (Laughs) No, I didn’t get money from
him. I didn’t WANT money from him. I did it
simply cuz I find him hot and he is pretty legit
in the music industry in Africa. Yeah, I am
attracted by his talent, his fame, his power, but
honestly, who isn’t?
And people are talking so much because a lot
of women wanted to be in my shoes, but were
not. I’m not afraid to go after what I want.
That’s just me. And I am unapologetic for it. I
am content that I got what I wanted -which was
to know him- and I guess it just naturally
progressed from there…
Nali: So was this a one time thing then?
Pendo: No, I would do it again. Gladly. I don’t
regret it at all.
Nali: Of course you know now I am gonna
ask about the “D”. Free reign, choose your
own words to describe it.
Pendo: He was perfect.
Nali: Nooooooooo, more than that.
DESCRIPTION.
Pendo: (Laughing) Ok, ok. Errrrrrrrrrrm, he is
much better than your “average Kenyan”. He is
big. Both length and width. (Giggles) And best
part is he REALLY knows what he is working
with.
Nali: Haha, so you loved ALL OF HIM.
(SN: Hehe, see what I did there?)
Pendo: (Giggles) Ha, you won’t let this go will
you. Haha, no seriously though, he has CRAZY
moves, he kept it fresh for a couple hours. I
am impressed. Definitely the best…(hesitates) Ok
maybe not the best I ever had, but he is up
there.
Nali: So was this a one night stand or will
you be seeing him again?
Pendo: Davido is not only a good lover but a
gentleman. Not only did he not publicise the
affair, but he left me with some personal
mementos to remember him. I don’t think a one
night stand does that. Plus there is still
communication going on. I’m not saying we are
dating, but we are definitely still talking. He did
not “hit it and quit it”.
Pendo further bragged to another website:
”First of all, David doesn’t know Pendo, Pendo
is for kenyans…lol!!
He knows Staicey so maybe if Pulse did their
interview right, thy would have got the right
info…
Anyway, he doesn’t have a Facebook account,
so there is no way he would hav “blockd” me!!
I blocked the wannabe after I talked to HIM and
he said “I use twitter n Insta” not even BBM
coz he uses an i-phone!!
I may have been at the press conference, but as
people say u gata work to achieve. So I made
my way there, got to at long last meet Deekay,
my long time pal from HKN n through him, I
made my way to Skyluxx for the play house
party where all of us stuck up in the VIP area!!
I knew I had won my jackpot so there was
nothing to worry about..as a matter of fact, he
had spotted me too.
We talked in a way only the two of us could
understand!
I had my fun n made my way home ready for
the big day…
As I said I was not worried, so there’s was no
time in me hustlin to go to the backstage as
other girls did…nooo!!
I had my food ready to eat. After the event,
my friend Deekay (hkn) buzzed me and asked me
to turn up that he was asking for me..
I made my way to Galileo with my girlfriends. I
minded my own business until he spotted me and
asked his deejay to come get me.
I still had no rush to be seen hanging out wth
him or anything, so I sat down n had my drink
that he offered…when it was time to leave he
held my hand and we left.
On reaching the car, the organiser said it
wouldn’t be safe coz of the media so David paid
for my cab that followed them directly to the
hotel located in Hurlingham.
When I got there, he sent his deejay (Olu) to
give me his key card to his room as he talked
to someone…he escorted me to the room and
the rest is self explanatory!!
I’m not like those girls who take pix in bed and
all…but I got proof, as he left me some wen he
left for his flight early morning.

bibe: Thanks, ur reply is quite sensible.
To be honest with you, I'm not against cheaper data. Am not a bb dealer either (though I still use my bb and a lumia)
Mtn sim cards initially were expensive because the risk factor was high (they just had to recoup their costs as well as profit to enable them expand though admittedly the used the monopoly they enjoyed to make more money)
As for etisalat, when they came in, they had to synergise (ie collocate their antennas on already existing infrastructure be it that of glo or mtn so it cut costs for them)
Plus common economics states that if u wanna compete with a dominant player, u just have to offer equivalent service at cheaper costs (which is always difficult and u have to take losses for some time so as to get users. Luckily they had the oil money of the middle east to sustain them while they took their loses)
Its just of recent they started building their own masts.
As for data issue, first of all, improved infrastructure is needed to handle the traffic.
Remember the days of free night call, recall how difficult it was to get someone then at midnight (network busy) same thing wud happen to data if it becomes too cheap and the traffic rises without adequate hardware to handle it.
The pricing also serves as a deterent to maximise bandwidth.
But with time, as with call costs, it will come down. Four years ago there weren't any mobile data plan, u simply browsed at 65k per kilobyte. Then I browsed with pictures off. (Though opera mini bacame rampant afterwards)
Its a gradual thing, by next year u'll see the price for data revised downwards again like its been happening since inception of mobile data plans.
That's the point I'm trying to make.
If only we had constant power supply in naija, the money they'd save from it wud be enough to radically upgrade most of the equipments necessary and continue making progressive improvements to their network as well as billing rates.
I wrote a message earlier, surprised it's not posted.

Mr bibe, wat u said is really true, I mean real but when u said d rate would come down with time of course dat will surely happen but only wen competitions set in.
Come to think of it d tarrifs that have become cheaper compares to last 2 3 years, is it bcoz our power has improved? definitely No and we dnt expect our power to even be stable come d next decade... in a nutshell, all dis excuses re not supposed to b an excuse to cheat us.

As a very good economist, I can see elements of dat in ur speech, u agree with me dat customer satisfaction shud be their main priorities in order to really succeed and note before coming to establish their biz here in naija they were not being oblivious of d situations in d country

and bout the traffic, shud dat b an excuse at all? Bcoz write now their service is not even good, we are not enjoying stability in their so called network, fine today fine tmao.

you see in dis country, they believe we.youth don't have a say, all we hear is sorry for the network interruption, sorry for dis, sorry for dat, we have been taking and we are being taken for granted and we want that to stop.

bibe: I really can't understand why ur minds are all shallow.
How about the money they paid for license, how about the cost for initial setup of all the base transmission stations (even the back up hardware promised by govt to be delivered by nitel that never materialised) and then factor in the risk factor (a venture which even the american telecomm networks considered but backed out).
With that u'll understand that u weren't merely paying for "sim card" u were paying for much more than just the plastic.
nice reply...but y didnt Etisalat too start sellin their own too from thousands when they come?, the per minute billing nko o?

wat bout tarrifs and sms rate then?

when u want to establish biz of course u wil fink of d capital dat wil b involved, abi are we to pay for d masts too? for goodness sake we re customers.
do u search for other countrie's data plan too, like u searched for dat of how bb server works on d net?if no then u av to try that.

when u do u wil definitely knw we re being cheated by dis telcos, even with their poor services and slow internets.

Honourable mr bibe,it is clear u re either a bb dealer or u work in telcos and even with that,it doesnt stop ur progress and telcos adjustin their data plans wil not suffer loss infact they wud gain more because more people wud want to subscribe,so my bro u shudnt back ur back against justice...Thanks,i mean no harm!

THIS MESSAGE IS LONG BUT PLEASE READ
To my fellow youth, compatriot Nigerians-
I greet you all with honour.Almost
everyone, if not everyone wants this
nation to move forward and if she should
move forward then definitely we are the
one moving forward and if otherwise we
know, we are the one involved. Not
forgetting that some of us are not born
with silver spoons it is only few of us that
can boast of that and considerable few
are born with no spoon at all, so this
'super story' I'm about to write does not
bother-so to say-all of us, that even some
are tired of hearing it would be an
understatement .
In order to prevent sounding silly here let
me tell you the title of the 'super story' it
is simply 'Fair and Just data campaign'...
oh! is that an eyebrow raised? no i could
hear that long hiss, 'mtcheeewwwwwww'
accompanies by 'old story'
Likewise I won't fail to acknowledge the
one that says to himself 'this guy surely
doesn't have something tangible to do
with his time, all this texts because of a
thing that would not materialize'.You are
all welcome!
But please don't press the back button
yet, we can run mind together here.
I would like to make it clear that this
campaign it's not fighting against bb
users,it is just calling for justice, it is
supporting all data users and fighting
against injustice on the pact of Internets
browsing regardless of the platform.This
is where someone laughs and say 'how
long will it take then to realize they are
wasting their time' well I won't say he's
being pessimistic,it's just an opinion but I
believe nothing is impossible and when
impossible becomes possible people tend
to call it miracle.
#1500 for 2gig,is it fair?
#1200 for 3gig,how fair is that?
those are examples of bis from two
different networks
#1000 for 200mb,do you say it's fair?
that's an example for all other platforms.
of course,a voice will say loud and clear,
'then go and get a BlackBerry now, is it
by force one uses Android or I phone? '
then answer is no, it is not an hobson's
choice for anyone to use any of the
platforms because we all have choices to
make.we today's bb users were once a
Java user or Symbian user in one way or
the other apart from those that started
their phone journeys with BlackBerry and
now with the arrival of aos,ios and
windows that means there are a lot of
choices to choose from. This is more like
saying, not long ago, there's nothing like
data plan let alone subscriptions,we used
our money-#2, I recalled, per page on
one of our dearest network-but there
seems to be changes or lil improvement
now I think?!
With that I just want to make it clearer
now that no discriminations whatsoever
but limitations to justice. Before we all
forget the advent of this telcos,i
remember then how we buy SIM cards
for exorbitant rate,in thousands, even
more expensives than most phones and
people still queued to buy it then, that
even when you buy phone people ask
you,do you now own a SIM? Not knowing
that SIM card is free. I wonder if NCC has
ever been established then or maybe it
wasn't a regulatory issue.Thank God for
our local telco who at least reduced it.We
shouldn't have forgotten as well, when we
call per minute billings. What is now the
point boy? someone would ask, well the
point is,using SIM as an example now, if
someone who couldn't or found it difficult
to afford a SIM card then could now boast
of having 5sim cards and even
commanding more at the snap of a finger
now,is it that economy has favour us?
NO...we bought it at high price before
because of our ignorance not that the
cost of making the SIM is that high, we
were basically cheated.
Now the questions on the pressing issue
are, couldn't the Internet subscription be
cheaper than this?
why can't we enjoy #500 for 3gig and #
1000 unlimited plan valid for a month?
could data be so high compares to the
Bandwith just because our highest
currency is #1000 so they think
everything must start from 1000naira to
save the stress of looking for change?
Sorry of, i heard server now or is it RIM I
heard? Whatever dude,i don't know
anything about that but what i wouldn't
know again is,if you for example now
using bb want to download a file maybe
an e-book worths 20mb and me using aos
want to download the same file from the
same website,would server compress
your own, because you are using bb?
maybe there's something I'm missing.
Finally compatriots,i won't say wise up
because many are wiser than me
here...what am i even saying? I'm still in
year one, just lil above 20,what did I
know? what experience have i had? But
and but justice remains justice regardless
of whatever and I believe one thing like
someone said if Bulb had not created

done that and the like can be said here, if

it's happening everywhere 'naija'

To my fellow youth, compatriot Nigerians-
I greet you all with honour.Almost

move forward then definitely we are the
one moving forward and if otherwise we
know, we are the one involved. Not
forgetting that some of us are not born
with silver spoons it is only few of us that
can boast of that and considerable few
are born with no spoon at all, so this
'super story' I'm about to write does not

are tired of hearing it would be an
understatement .
In order to prevent sounding silly here let
me tell you the title of the 'super story' it
is simply 'Fair and Just data campaign'...
oh! is that an eyebrow raised? no i could

I would like to make it clear that this
campaign it's not fighting against bb
users,it is just calling for justice, it is
supporting all data users and fighting
against injustice on the pact of Internets
browsing regardless of the platform.This

they are about 'tarrifs regulation' alone...
How about our dear telcos? aren't we
supposed to be customers? If
yes,Customer is always right i think.
Definitely we have the right to say this is
what we want.
My dearies, please stand up and claim
what belongs to us...together we can
make it not with devided minds.
Let's clear our minds from all
impossibilities and endeavour to sign this
petition.

To my fellow youth, compatriot Nigerians-
I greet you all with honour.Almost
everyone, if not everyone wants this
nation to move forward and if she should
move forward then definitely we are the
one moving forward and if otherwise we
know, we are the one involved. Not
forgetting that some of us are not born
with silver spoons it is only few of us that
can boast of that and considerable few
are born with no spoon at all, so this
'super story' I'm about to write does not
bother-so to say-all of us, that even some
are tired of hearing it would be an
understatement .
In order to prevent sounding silly here let
me tell you the title of the 'super story' it
is simply 'Fair and Just data campaign'...
oh! is that an eyebrow raised? no i could
hear that long hiss, 'mtcheeewwwwwww'
accompanies by 'old story'
Likewise I won't fail to acknowledge the
one that says to himself 'this guy surely
doesn't have something tangible to do
with his time, all this texts because of a
thing that would not materialize'.You are
all welcome!
But please don't press the back button
yet, we can run mind together here.
I would like to make it clear that this
campaign it's not fighting against bb
users,it is just calling for justice, it is
supporting all data users and fighting
against injustice on the pact of Internets
browsing regardless of the platform.This
is where someone laughs and say 'how
long will it take then to realize they are
wasting their time' well I won't say he's
being pessimistic,it's just an opinion but I
believe nothing is impossible and when
impossible becomes possible people tend
to call it miracle.
#1500 for 2gig,is it fair?
#1200 for 3gig,how fair is that?
those are examples of bis from two
different networks
#1000 for 200mb,do you say it's fair?
that's an example for all other platforms.
of course,a voice will say loud and clear,
'then go and get a BlackBerry now, is it
by force one uses Android or I phone? '
then answer is no, it is not an hobson's
choice for anyone to use any of the
platforms because we all have choices to
make.we today's bb users were once a
Java user or Symbian user in one way or
the other apart from those that started
their phone journeys with BlackBerry and
now with the arrival of aos,ios and
windows that means there are a lot of
choices to choose from. This is more like
saying, not long ago, there's nothing like
data plan let alone subscriptions,we used
our money-#2, I recalled, per page on
one of our dearest network-but there
seems to be changes or lil improvement
now I think?!
With that I just want to make it clearer
now that no discriminations whatsoever
but limitations to justice. Before we all
forget the advent of this telcos,i
remember then how we buy SIM cards
for exorbitant rate,in thousands, even
more expensives than most phones and
people still queued to buy it then, that
even when you buy phone people ask
you,do you now own a SIM? Not knowing
that SIM card is free. I wonder if NCC has
ever been established then or maybe it
wasn't a regulatory issue.Thank God for
our local telco who at least reduced it.We
shouldn't have forgotten as well, when we
call per minute billings. What is now the
point boy? someone would ask, well the
point is,using SIM as an example now, if
someone who couldn't or found it difficult
to afford a SIM card then could now boast
of having 5sim cards and even
commanding more at the snap of a finger
now,is it that economy has favour us?
NO...we bought it at high price before
because of our ignorance not that the
cost of making the SIM is that high, we
were basically cheated.
Now the questions on the pressing issue
are, couldn't the Internet subscription be
cheaper than this?
why can't we enjoy #500 for 3gig and #
1000 unlimited plan valid for a month?
could data be so high compares to the
Bandwith just because our highest
currency is #1000 so they think
everything must start from 1000naira to
save the stress of looking for change?
Sorry of, i heard server now or is it RIM I
heard? Whatever dude,i don't know
anything about that but what i wouldn't
know again is,if you for example now
using bb want to download a file maybe
an e-book worths 20mb and me using aos
want to download the same file from the
same website,would server compress
your own, because you are using bb?
maybe there's something I'm missing.
Finally compatriots,i won't say wise up
because many are wiser than me
here...what am i even saying? I'm still in
year one, just lil above 20,what did I
know? what experience have i had? But
and but justice remains justice regardless
of whatever and I believe one thing like
someone said if Bulb had not created
bulb someone else would have surely
done that and the like can be said here, if
revolutions would not start in our
generations,it would start with another.
it's happening everywhere 'naija'
shouldn't be an exception.
To add; I'm not writing this because I'm
an internet addict or something but
because I'm a fan of revolution.Certainly
this is not the only issue bothering the
youth in the country, it's just One of
them, and subsequently with one mind
we can get there and achieve greatness!
I hereby end my 'super story ' for
now,thanks for reading!
GOD BLESS NIGERIA!
