I really like dis girl, wetin i do, wetin i no do abi wetin happen y Dis girl dey do me like Dis? Dis n many questions dey pop up but no answer. The next morning I dey go out as usual, i hold one poly bag, wen i saw her,she wan go pay for d water wey her sister fetched. "Fatima..." Dis girl no lemme land o " e ma koju si bi ti won ran yin" yeepa!!! meaning " you'd better face where dem send you" This is really too much for me to bear abi wetin self.Na so i leave her o since den. |
I dey talk with my big 'gimmed' neighbour dat nyt, wen i saw d girl, an elder was sitting near where we stood, she greet him first come greet me "Gud evening." I call her "Fatima" she no answer ,my mind don comot from my guy wey we bin dey talk. "Na u dey do dat girl abi" asked my padi. There's is a sharp corner that leads to her house, very close,as i see sey she don dey near dat corner na im i use style jog follow her dey call " Fatima, Fatima... wait ." She been dey talk buh i no dey hear her,as she turned left heading straight to her house i quickly move closer to her knowing DAT we don comot from d scene wey d elder n my padi dey. she no gree wait o. "Fatima, u no hear sey..." i never land wen i begin dey hear her voice " shebi, i don greet u,wetin i wan wait for..." For Yoruba o "...mtcheeeeewwwww" Na d next thin wey i hear b DAT o,as she climbed d staircase wey lead to her papa house. I stayed there for lyk 2mins dey think am,haba! I no expect dis insult chai !!! |
ahh! ah get many probs o,but make we take am one step after d other. ..there's Dis girl for my hood about 18yrs of age,she just finished sec skul last year but i av been eyeing her wen she was still in ss3 but i didn't give too much attention tho',I just admired her. But wen I came back from skul of recent due to ASUU strike and i set my eyes on her a day she was fetching water very close to my house, mean i cudnt believe wat i saw, she's had Dis plummy kind of blossom, more beautiful (Ebony) ,so I approached her, " hello." She pretended she didn't hear me ( note: she had bucket of water on her head all dis moment),i kept on smiling didn't say anything again until she looked at me because something had been pushing her to look but she was resisting, finally she made a 'mistake' of looking in my eyes,on looking, she met d smile, now she's restless. "how do you do?" i asked softly in Yoruba. "I'm fine,goo.. gud morning." she replied in Yoruba using 'e' as a sign of respect.I asked her her name she said Fatimo, OK! In a nutshell, i engage her into talking even tho' she was kinda restless because i have never said hi to her let alone greeting her before, guess she's still amazed. The theme of my discussion with her was why she's not been greeting n talking to me.When I asked her she said maybe she didn't notice she's not been greeting me, we were still talking when she saw her friend (i always see them together) she asked her to come and that was where I knew i av been axed. On getting to d scene she was kinda surprised too i greeted her she replied with confused tone,i asked my target (Fatimo) how they are related bcoz i always see them together, she said she's her mosque member then i released them n go my own way. The obsession was so much that I'd to tell my younger bro bout it since he stayed there 2yrs prior to my arrival. He asked me what i see in her bcoz she ain't worth it, he said she plays and rolls with small small boys in the area,i said noo, she's now a bigger girl that that was den, he shook head for me and said there's nothing he cud do for me, bcoz d girl no even worth am.I no listen o bcoz i like d girl die! One fateful night i was...e be like say Na pidgin go do jorh... |
this one wey dey come so Na story n i need advice or more like help... |

Carlo Ancelotti: Chelsea's style of play is essentially false 9. You never see them whipping in crosses, or putting through balls for the striker. Neither do their three attacking midfielders play around the striker. They play among themselves. Their only problem is that instead of deploying a player to protect the defense and playing outright false 9, they use that player as a striker who is essentially useless. They could put Falcao, Cavani, Lewandowski, Messi, Rooney, Van Persie, absolutely anyone as a no.9, their striker will never score 30 odd goals a season or bang hattricks with this system. And also they will keep losing games because while playing false 9, one player is required to protect the defense. Instead that one player (striker)is doing nothing on the field. |

fabulousdame: i think there is improvement..it's better dan beforeIs that in Lagos as well? |
Today is the 8th day we have experienced great improvements of electricity supply in Omi-Ata,Abule-Egba,Lagos state.Though weeks prior to that it's gone from bad to worse following the taking over (the said privatisation) but now it's been another story. We normally enjoyed electricity only in d night, say 11:30pm to 3,4,5, sometimes 6am although not everyday. No little hope of light during d day.But now i must say there's little improvement as we now enjoy electricity from 6,7pm to 9,10am though there used to be some hiccups during those periods. I just like nairalanders to share their experiences in their respected areas, any improvements? or is this a fluke? |
The importance of hymns in christian lives cannot be stressed enough, this is evident in ephesians 5:18-20, where Paul encourages us to sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs to one another, when you rejoice and even when things are not going well. Hymns also free us from distractions. Thousands of hymns have been written and sung by prominent men and women of God but i, like so many others don't sing these hymns often,we only do that in congregations but today I realised how wonderful hymns are ,i was move like I have never been moved before,i realised heaven within me,all thanks to that special programme organised in my church today. Although at times, the way a hymn is being sung is very important too, Now brethren I would like you to share your favourite hymns with the artiste that sang that version and those hymns you can't stop singing, those hymns that help you out of a particular situation, hymn that moves you closer to God because i want to start listening to hymns. I like Ancient words by Micheal w.smith and i have found a friend in Jesus(Yoruba version),I can't remember the woman that sang it. |
October 13 is the day when the tune Happy Birthday To You was copyrighted in 1893. Trivia on the oldest tune that we continue to harp about It's the occasion when even the musically challenged among us will deign to clear their throats and launch an aural attack on the hapless soul standing in the centre of the circle. The guy who must believe that he too, as Gloria Gaynor assured millions of heartbroken women the world over, 'will survive' -- listening to a tuneless rendition of Happy Birthday To You. Sisters Patty Hill and Mildred J Hill of Kentucky, USA, could never have anticipated that introducing the song 'Good Morning to All' to Patty's kindergarten class would someday contribute to the world's most sung song in the world. The song proved so popular with the students that it is alleged that they took to singing it on birthdays, changing the lyrics to 'Happy Birthday'. The sisters went on to publish the tune in their book called Song Stories for the Kindergarten. The tune for the song is likely to have been inspired from other songs at the time, including Horace Waters' 'Happy Greetings to All', and 'A Happy New Year to All'. Lyrics "Good Morning to All" Good morning to you, Good morning to you, Good morning, dear children. Good morning to all. "Happy Birthday to You" Source: anywhere on the internet |
