THIS MESSAGE IS LONG BUT PLEASE READ To my fellow youth, compatriot Nigerians- I greet you all with honour.Almost everyone, if not everyone wants this nation to move forward and if she should move forward then definitely we are the one moving forward and if otherwise we know, we are the one involved. Not forgetting that some of us are not born with silver spoons it is only few of us that can boast of that and considerable few are born with no spoon at all, so this 'super story' I'm about to write does not bother-so to say-all of us, that even some are tired of hearing it would be an understatement . In order to prevent sounding silly here let me tell you the title of the 'super story' it is simply 'Fair and Just data campaign'... oh! is that an eyebrow raised? no i could hear that long hiss, 'mtcheeewwwwwww' accompanies by 'old story' Likewise I won't fail to acknowledge the one that says to himself 'this guy surely doesn't have something tangible to do with his time, all this texts because of a thing that would not materialize'.You are all welcome! But please don't press the back button yet, we can run mind together here. I would like to make it clear that this campaign it's not fighting against bb users,it is just calling for justice, it is supporting all data users and fighting against injustice on the pact of Internets browsing regardless of the platform. This is where someone laughs and say 'how long will it take then to realize they are wasting their time' well I won't say he's being pessimistic,it's just an opinion but I believe nothing is impossible and when impossible becomes possible people tend to call it miracle. #1500 for 2gig,is it fair? #1200 for 3gig,how fair is that? those are examples of bis from two different networks #1000 for 200mb,do you say it's fair? that's an example for all other platforms. of course,a voice will say loud and clear, 'then go and get a BlackBerry now, is it by force one uses Android or I phone? ' then answer is no, it is not an hobson's choice for anyone to use any of the platforms because we all have choices to make.we today's bb users were once a Java user or Symbian user in one way or the other apart from those that started their phone journeys with BlackBerry and now with the arrival of aos,ios and windows that means there are a lot of choices to choose from. This is more like saying, not long ago, there's nothing like data plan let alone subscriptions,we used our money-#2, I recalled, per page on one of our dearest network-but there seems to be changes or lil improvement now I think?! With that I just want to make it clearer now that no discriminations whatsoever but limitations to justice. Before we all forget the advent of this telcos,i remember then how we buy SIM cards for exorbitant rate,in thousands, even more expensives than most phones and people still queued to buy it then, that even when you buy phone people ask you,do you now own a SIM? Not knowing that SIM card is free. I wonder if NCC has ever been established then or maybe it wasn't a regulatory issue.Thank God for our local telco who at least reduced it.We shouldn't have forgotten as well, when we call per minute billings. What is now the point boy? someone would ask, well the point is,using SIM as an example now, if someone who couldn't or found it difficult to afford a SIM card then could now boast of having 5sim cards and even commanding more at the snap of a finger now,is it that economy has favour us? NO...we bought it at high price before because of our ignorance not that the cost of making the SIM is that high, we were basically cheated. Now the questions on the pressing issue are, couldn't the Internet subscription be cheaper than this? why can't we enjoy #500 for 3gig and # 1000 unlimited plan valid for a month? could data be so high compares to the Bandwith just because our highest currency is #1000 so they think everything must start from 1000naira to save the stress of looking for change? Sorry of, i heard server now or is it RIM I heard? Whatever dude,i don't know anything about that but what i wouldn't know again is,if you for example now using bb want to download a file maybe an e-book worths 20mb and me using aos want to download the same file from the same website, would server compress your own, because you are using bb? maybe there's something I'm missing. Finally compatriots,i won't say wise up because many are wiser than me here...what am i even saying? I'm still in year one, just lil above 20,what did I know? what experience have i had? But and but justice remains justice regardless of whatever and I believe one thing like someone said if Bulb had not created bulb someone else would have surely done that and the like can be said here, if revolutions would not start in our generations,it would start with another. it's happening everywhere 'naija' shouldn't be an exception. To add; I'm not writing this because I'm an internet addict or something but because I'm a fan of revolution.Certainly this is not the only issue bothering the youth in the country, it's just One of them, and subsequently with one mind we can get there and achieve greatness! I hereby end my 'super story ' for now, thanks for reading! GOD BLESS NIGERIA! |

efforts efforts efforts!!! pls I would like to urge everyone not to look at others ignorance and relentless as a tool or an excuse for us to rest, moreso,i know we would have exceeded 100 had signing was easier for everyone especially those without pc and 'high' phones or even browsers and only few will seek solutions to it after numerous trials, for example the facebook page for this campaign (all data users demand fairness) enjoyed 100+ likes within 3days because virtually everyone and browsers can do that, so I don't think many ain't willing to do this but for directions and capacities. I know I have tried my own but i don't think of stopping anytime soon, because this is not fight for someone it is the fight for us all and even those that think we are only wasting our times are not excluded. In the same vein, i would like to make something clear here, looking at it from the beginning up till now,the progress, the lapses, motivations, insults, ignorances, opinions,i think there are limitations to the progress of the campaign-even though we have got the media attention-based on two basic reasons, the topic and the youth, other reasons are secondary. Why the topic? firstly, someone might remember the grammatical error in the topic at first before changing it after few days that's even minor. But on twitter we have different tags apart from the original one which is #alldatausersdemandfairness,we still have some like #smartphoneusersdemandfairness, androidusersdemandfairness, etc. And the contents of most writeups including mine refer to Bis as a kinda subscriptions we all hoped for, thus making bis the just and fair data usage. And that's where limitations on the pact of the youth arise, of course we know the success BlackBerry enjoyed as a smartphone in Nigeria if not all over the world before the arrivals of aos and ios, prepoderance of users and awareness of window os like that of Nokia Lumia and all that, bearing in mind that not everyone can compromise their bb with anything instead they go for other smartphones as a complement to their beloved bb,in the course of that I see divisions among we youth, what division am I talking about? I am saying basically we are not talking with one voice. This has prompted me to write this to my fellow youth: To my fellow youth, compatriot Nigerians- I greet you all with honour.Almost everyone, if not everyone wants this nation to move forward and if she should move forward then definitely we are the one moving forward and if otherwise we know, we are the one involved. Not forgetting that some of us are not born with silver spoons it is only few of us that can boast of that and considerable few are born with no spoon at all, so this 'super story' I'm about to write does not bother-so to say-all of us, that even some are tired of hearing it would be an understatement . he argues it is not a regulatory issue but is it a communication issue? smh and by the way i am only suggestin we shoudnt av based our argument to b purely based on blackerry subscription comparism in the first place,it should have been partial,i mean included when needed because i think it's alldatausers campaign we call it n not war against bb subcription. He wouldnt av been metionin technology usin bb as a camouflage I am not an enemy of progress im only suggestin |
Arise O' compatriot.... Our fight against the telecom operators is getting somewhere... After all our effort to get our voices heard, the media have decided to help broadcast our demand for fairness... Going through this link http:// www.punchng.com/i-punch/android-phone-users-protest-cost-of-internet-subscription/ You will get to see everything punch wrote on the youth's behalf... Mr. Tony of NCC said there was nothing the agency could do about it, because it was not a regulatory issue. He said, "We (NCC) don't regulate technology. BlackBerry is a peculiar service different from other platforms. NCC doesn't provide Internet services and the enquiry is not a regulatory issue.'' Are they for us or against us? All we are fighting for is fairness in internet data plan and not for them to tell if its a regulatory issue so we urge Nigerians to go through the link above and speak your mind, let's your voices be heard and let's stand for a change... It has gotten to a stage where Nigerian Youth have to stand for themselves and make a change because our so called leaders aren't helping situation. You can as well read about it on today's punch newspaper and it was also mentioned on INSPIRATION FM days ago, this is to let you know this isn't a joke. Reading through this BC and doing nothing is a shame on you, a shame on us as well a shame on Nigeria as a whole so we urge you to please sign this petition, we need just 100 pple to sign it http://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/telecoms-service-provider-in-nigeria-all-data-users-demands-fairness?share_id=buShdplrhE join this campaign # AllDataUsersDemandFairness on twitter, search the hashtag and help retweet our tweets please... Contact @blak_xtar and @mogenerous for more info.... We fighting 4 both bb users and all data enable phones and we say NO to EXTORTION nd EXORBITANT price of data plans! We want a change, it begins with us.. Read and RBC please..... Insert your twitter handle and Send that BC to all your contact on bbm, whatsapp, facebook and all pls..... |

just likes to add,if this becomes successful then we can address other issues bothering us in the nation, and i guess that is what revolution is and is all about. |
when it seems impossible i think that is the time we need to push more... apology to those dat dont understand Yoruba,'ti egun ba ti de ibi un,oshe tan atiyo ni ye' a popular adage meanin 'wen u re bein pierced by a thorn n u re tryin to remove it,it becomes auspicious it's ready to come out wen u exclaim "uhn"!' my fellow optimistic compatriots, pls do not let us relent,i will round this up by quotin a movie's quote which has helped me alot in life, "dnt think about success or failure just put in ur efforts" thanks! |
Abeg teach dis people step by step approach to signing dis petition bcoz a lotta people re findin it difficult to sign it |
dis is wat i posted on my fb timeline just recently, you all shud pls do dis n invite our pals you all should please join the ongoin thread about fair data usage in nigeria instigated by nigerian youth to demand fair and just data subscriptions like bb subcription for all other data users like pc,Android, symbians and even java fones. Join the movement now or never,it's time we nigerian youth speak for ourselves because the future of this great nation lies on our shoulders and we can't achieve anything by mere sitting on our hands,we have to strive and it all start somewhere. some people would think that should not be our priorities now but i tell you the importance of using internet by the students cannot be over-emphasized especially in this protruding era where you have to read online, print out, post on your school course forum which is being used to award marks in schools like FUTA,and so many varied reasons. with #1000,we alk know can sunscribe for unlimited usage on blackberries and the same #1000 you will b given just 200mb for all other users apart from bb users,be it Aos,Ios,symbian, window phones, java,pc, etc. Truely we can agree this is not fair.We know how much data Aos,for example, consume daily and the fact that Aos and Ios is now the favourite all over the world and of course the reasons we ain't ignorant of. Pls let's not listening to their biz strategies as they would always have one or two excuses to give with their sweet talk...Enough said at this juncture, action they say speak louder and better than speech. We will be addressing other issues subsequently but let us deal with this telcoms and NCC first. Like the page of this revolution on fb 'data users demand fairness' and on twitter follow # datausersdemand sfairness ...do these and post on your fb timeline, twitter pg and inform others. Thanks and God bless Nigeria |
49likes on fb is not encouraging, please let us all hit the like button on fb n twitter. seriously the future of nigeria lies on our (youths') shoulders. |
#AllDataUsersDemandsFairness please remove the s in the 'demands' or you chande the #tag to probably something shorter thanks! |

Ternalange: TD, breathes attention, not oxygen. She would die without it. Everything she does screams of attention seeker. And i dont think why tonto dikeh should think i am referring to her here.because you use the alphabetism TD and she is @ the tusk of the pressing issue |
Ternalange: Has she done anything crucifyable? No, nobody has.but at least show her some respect she deserves,if you can't show her lil love |
some would say she is seeking attention but wonder if she has done anything crucifyable,if yes,may anyone say it. Funny enough, she is even better off most of her critics! She is most definitely beautiful and free as a bird to express her opinion,i think. |
'tonto breasts spill at iyanya's concert' that is another headline that is becoming viral on the blogs.. |
it seems to me that many people dislike her but me and a very few love her so much.It is amazing to see how she's being called names of all sort by people and celebrities and the rate at which she's being criticized is so alarming even here on nairalan.Imagine Beverly Osu calling her a prostitute,Mercy Johnson 'yabbing' her even when she did make it clear she didn't mention name why should Mercy thinks she was being referred to? Just recently she was denied an ambassadorship all in the name of her skin discolouration and pigmentation...

moreeni: Stop using creams, try olive oil or Shea butter to get an even tone.Thanks...u mean it'd solve my problem, ryt? |
Jst heard a beauty consultant talkin bout it,i heard it is very good for treating hyperpigmentation, skin discolouration but dont know how real this is. Just need opinions of someone that has used it before either directly or indirectly...how effective? @amico i syt u beautiful but it seems u dont av my time,or mayb not yet. |
Pls,i'm still a male student of 23yrs old,i'm light in complexion and that is where the problem is. I'm very light on the face but the rest parts of my body are either dark or fair,so the uniformity is seriously lacking and people do comment about this. This has prompted me to try creams, and this has eventually improved my skin,i mean lighter now but still my face is so much more lighter than the rest of my body. I should add that I am naturally light initially,so it's not that i'm trying to bleach or something buh i just noticed as i'm matured enough to discover whether or not I have a beautiful skin,I discovered i have become darker, all this pigmentation had set in all over my body, especially my face and this makes people to call me albino all of a sudden,so that was why I decided to change everything and become my original white.Although when some people see me now they couldn't hide their surprise,so they could be like 'wow! u re now handsome'. In a nutshell,I would like nairalanders to help me on what i can use on my body to make it thoroughly light or white (no pimples on my face right now though,u can say i'm fresh but that only in d face).Pls,help me on what to do/use/take,either cream, soap or some natural mixtures. Thanks in advance! |
