waoh, u really did a great job

AlphaHandMaiden:
DIY FITTED CLOTH NAPPY TUTORIAL.

PART 3B: CUTTING  OUT  YOUR  PIECES.

Step 1:
Fold  terry/towel  fabric to  double  it  up  and place  on  flat surface.
Open out  your paper  pattern  and  and   place   over terry  fabric.

Pin in  place.  And   cut  out fabric.  This   should  give  you  2   pieces.

Step 2:
Use  pins  to  mark out booster  and  elastic  extents  from  template  to  the  fabric.

Step 3:

In order to waste  as little fabric as  possible, i am   using    the  "scraps" left  after  cutting  my   terry fabric to  form  my  absorbent  core in the   booster zone.

I  have  4  pieces   which i  trim  into rough oval  shapes.

Alternatively, you  can use the measurements  of the  booster  zone  and  cut  rectangles  for  this.

The  number  of   pieces  you use as  the  core   will Depend on the thickness of your fabric. mine  is not  very  thick  so using  all 4   is  not  too  bulky.

You  can  also  use other   scrap  cotton materials  to  form  this   absorbent  core.   Cotton  flannel, old  tee  shirts  will  work  fine as  well.  You may  just have  to    increase the number of  layers.

You  should  have:

2 no  pieces of  the  main  nappy
1 or  more  pieces  of   booster ( 4 booster  pieces in my case)

Mamas interested in the type of fastener she used, it's called a Snappi. So far, I have only seen it sold at the Sprite in The Palms mall, Lekki. Other Shoprites don't have it. It's very good and durable. You only need 2 or 3 and they don't break. It used to cost N500 for one. It's a South African product but it's sold everywhere around the world.

Religion / Dealing With Unwanted Thoughts by dharmielol(f): 3:14pm On Aug 17, 2016
Be careful what you think, your life is shaped by your thoughts “Prov. 4:23”

In the world we live in, we can’t escape bad thoughts, they can be grasped anywhere, on the TV, Radio, Internet, Streets, Working place, Schools etc. It can be so horrific because all of these places can’t be totally avoided. But as a Christian, we have to always guide our thoughts day in day out. Our mind is like a fertile land awaiting to geminate in abundance any seed planted on it

Thoughts are powerful, and there are pretty more ways to guide our thoughts and frustrate the unwanted thoughts out

Have a daily positive and motivational confession you read to yourself to come against the spirit of bad thoughts. Read Gods word, study it, memorise it, meditate it, and apply it to your life daily

Your mind is fearfully and wonderfully made. It is incredible. Better than man’s best computer, the mind is constantly receiving messages, processing input, and affecting your behaviour. Track down the major source of your bad thought, avoid going to such places, listening to such words or program, Videos, Soap Operas, Music.

As soon as a bad thoughts comes up in your mind, rebuke it immediately by SAYING a positive word(s) to cancel the negative thought

“An idle mind is the devil’s workshop.” If you are often alone, you may find Satan coming in like a flood during these times. When a mind is unoccupied the devil takes this opportunity to suggest sinful thoughts for you to dwell on. Find something which can occupy your mind, and displace impure thoughts. Anything decent will do; connect to God, Read your bible, listen to messages, read Christian books etc.

Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right…. Think about all you can thank God for and be glad about “Phil. 4:8”

HAVE A NICE DAY

No. It's only when we understand that nature didn't favour all of us that the world will be a better place.

Hard work and diligence still matters but what will you say about people born with schizophrenia and other diseases that come from genetic mutation?

It's time the black man dropped two ideas; that hard work and divine intervention are the only requirements for success.

That's why the white man started what is known as charities; to help those whom nature didn't favour as much as others.

Sure, nature might not favour us all because people lack knowledge.

But why wont nature favour me "According as his divine power hath given unto us ALL THINGS that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue" 2 Peter 1:3

See,you can go far in life but to go further, you need divine intervention. success in life comes from 2 main sources, either natural source or super-natural source(this can be demonic or divine)

For those who suffer with schizophrenia they should have hope in Jesus for life more abundant (John 10:9-11). The Lord can use all things for their good.
Religion / God Is Not Against Positions Of Affluence And Riches! by dharmielol(f): 11:49am On Aug 17, 2016
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven” Mattew 5: 14-16

Influence is a form of leadership in which you can become a channel God uses to help bring powerful and lasting change of betterness to people who need it. When you spiritually influence people, you help meet their needs for faith, hope, and love, by showing them that they can have faith in God, hope for the future, and rely on God’s love for them.

Influencers are people who have power, insight and riches.

God is not against positions of affluence and riches, but His question to us is what direction are we utilizing our monies, affluence and authority? Are they for His service or against His will? Just as Paul told the Philippians in his letter to them,

To impact lives, you need to become an authority (an influencer). Fortunately, this is within your reach.

Too often we believe that influencers are born, not made, and that we can’t learn how to do what they do. Wrong!

Becoming an influencer is an ongoing process.

Influencers do not pop up overnight; they desire it, pray for it and work for it. They grow and build their credibility, nurture useful, productive relationships with God and man. They continue to improve themselves daily through Gods word.

There are so many ways through which we can influence and make an impact in whatever we do and wherever we find ourselves.

Influencing is a challenge. You can only succeed as an influencer when people see that what you have to offer is unique and valuable.

Steps you can take to become a top influencer.

You build your spiritual influence on the foundation of a connection with God, aim to strengthen your relationship with God every day. Incorporate worship and prayer into your life, making a habit of bowing to God’s greatness and goodness often. Ground your relationship with God in spiritual disciplines such as frequent Bible reading and meditation. Joshua vividly told the children of Israel in; Joshua 1:8. “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shall meditate there inday and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein; for then thou shall make thy way prosperous, and then thou shall have good success” Doing so motivates you to submit your will to God’s will, putting you in a position where God can best use you as a spiritual influencer.
You need to earn people’s trust in order to effectively influence them, and the way to do so is to model a lifestyle of integrity for them. Ask the Holy Spirit to renew your mind every day so you have right motives for what you say and do, and to help you become a person who is more honest, humble, and self-controlled. Seek to bring coherence between your public and private life and between every aspect of your personality so that you behave with integrity in every situation.
Expect God to constantly bring you new opportunities to spiritually influence people. Discern if the opportunities you encounter are from God by considering whether or not they’re consistent with biblical values and God’s purposes for your life – and if so, say “yes” to God and take action.
Invite God to use you as one of His instruments for making things right in this fallen world. Just as Isaiah responded (Isa 6;cool “…Here am I Lord, send me” Surrender yourself as an instrument of service. Cooperate with God in His redemptive work by pursuing justice, mercy, and humility.
People are especially open to spiritual influence from leaders who help them during crises. Do your best to be a caring presence for people as they go through crises, listening to them, speaking to them with wisdom and grace, praying for them, and giving them practical support as God leads you to do so.
Accumulate the knowledge you need to be well-informed before making decisions, and pray for the ability to make decisions with good judgment.
Seek wisdom from God rather than from any lesser source. Prov 2;6 “For the Lord giveth wisdom; out of His mouth cometh knowledge and understanding” Make a habit of reading, studying, and meditating on the Bible while asking the Holy Spirit to help you apply its wisdom to your life.
Final Takeaways

Know what an influencer is and does.

Be helpful and add value.

Educate yourself by reading wide and meditating on God’s word

Educate others.

Influencers educate others and offer them actionable and constructive advice and solutions. People around you should learn and gain something really unique and valuable from you-We have the Grace, we have all it takes. Give it all away and God will multiply you in folds

Have a great week everyone, and best of luck with your efforts to become an influencer!

oglalasioux:
The universe is not programmed to function the way you wrote above. We don't have equal opportunities and that is the simple fact.

If it was, then the other planets in the solar system would have been able to develop life which was evenly distributed to them when the solar system was born. But they were not able because they were either too far from the sun or too near. Earth is in this sweet spot due purely to chance not by hard work or any divine intervention through an act of God.

Among the things I like about the bible is the parable of the sower. This is one parable that summarized what our universe is; pure chance of where you find yourself determines who you are.

Well,i still strongly believe that you get what you expect, no matter where you are in this world. you are what you think. Our thoughts are like seeds.
The conditions and circumstances of your present life (finance, health, relationships, etc.) are as a result of your collective thoughts over the years. It is your thought power that has created those very circumstances.
Religion / I’m Not Lucky? by dharmielol(f): 8:20am On Aug 17, 2016
You might have heard this common saying about people referring to someone who is successful, everything working out well for and have a happy marriage as being “lucky” and how “unlucky” or sad the other person’s life turned out. Some believe that some fortunate souls are mysteriously born under a lucky star. I kept wondering if actually it is all about “luck” anyway or is it not.

After doing some readings and making some findings about what luck is? And how to be lucky? I came up with this definition/explanation of luck:

Success or failure apparently brought by chance rather than through one’s own actions or thoughts.

Webster’s Dictionary defines luck as “a force that brings good fortune or adversity; a force that operates for or against an individual.”

Yes, so now if luck is a force and is brought about by chance, why can’t we tap into it and manipulate it for our own good, after all we all have a free will. No one is stuck with an inevitable destiny. We can make the things we want happen.

Abi why will some people’s lives overflow with abundance, vitality, successful careers, and loving relationships and others won’t?

I believe luck is the product of our own mental focus, thoughts, beliefs and attitudes. In fact I prefer to call it positive thinking. So Imagine now that by changing your focus, thoughts, beliefs you can intentionally increase the amount of luck you experience in all areas of life, be it finance, good health, happy home, good grades, good relationships and so on. Sounded good right?

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honourable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. “Philippians 4:8”

Well, believe it or not, you get what you expect, if you are so certain that your future is going to be full of good fortune, definitely it will. And if you think otherwise, well? Just know that these expectations become self-fulfilling prophecies to our lives.

The conditions and circumstances of your present life (finance, health, relationships, etc.) are as a result of your collective thoughts over the years. It is your thought power that has created those very circumstances. “Circumstances do not make a man, they reveal him” (James Allen).

Thoughts are like seeds, they have a natural tendency to grow and manifest in your life, if you feed them with attention, interest and enthusiasm.

“If you realized how powerful your thoughts are, you would never think a negative thought.” (Peace Pilgrim)

Change your negative habits and build new, positive habits or skills. Pay attention to the thoughts you think. Do your best to reject negative thoughts, and to allow into your mind only thoughts that bring good, happy, and positive results. (You can read up Dealing With Unwanted Thoughts )

You can use your mind to attract good things, wealth, riches, promotion at work, for building a business, improving health, good relationships, changing circumstances, and practically almost everything you desire. “You are not a helpless victim of your own thoughts, but rather a master of your own mind.” Louise Hay

Actions, situations, and objects that you visualize frequently, eventually manifest on the material plane in a natural way. This manifestation does not happen overnight. It needs time, and depends on how ambitious and sincere you are, and how much time and attention you put into this action. Never relax, do not be discourage, keep hoping and believing. “With God in my life, all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26

Remember, don’t just think it, go for it, what your mind can conceive, you can achieve. Always understand that faith and patience work hand in hand

I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
(Psalm 27:13)

Amen

Thank you for your time.

Religion / Don't Follow Me, I'm Lost Too! by dharmielol(f): 8:11am On Aug 16, 2016
I was in a cab few days ago and I saw a sticker at the back screen of a Toyota Jeep which reads “don’t follow me, I’m lost too.” Looking at the driver of the car, not sure of his religion but has a crucifix hung on to the inner mirror. Unfortunately, this is the state of the world of many Christians. They preach what they don’t do. Their act is totally different from their words.

We are living in the midst of the people who are in a state of spiritual darkness. As a Christian, we should be a role model for others. We have been made the light of this world, (Matt. 5:14). We have become the transmitters of light. We should allow our lights to shine for others and the unbelievers to see because, they are in darkness.

Let them see your good works

‘’Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven’’ (Matt. 5:16). Let them see how we love even when we’re treated unfairly. “But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you (Matt 5:44). Let them see how we’re kind and generous in situations of favouritism and injustice. Let’s not forget to show how we’re patient and self-controlled in the midst of irritation and inefficiency.

We should live a life that will influence them positively and bring them to asking us how we are making it and how we are doing fine at our chosen career. Even though it seems the unbelievers don’t care, they are always watching us. Allowing our lives to influence them can lead them to finding Christ.

Many times, sharing tracts and doing early morning cries are not enough to bring people to Christ. In fact, people just throw the tracts away after you’ve given it to them. So, many times, our lives are like banners, fliers and posters that will attract them to Christ.

Have a great day.

If you don’t have a peplum blouse/top, it’s high time you got one.
Peplum is a short full flounce or an extension of a garment below the waist, covering the hips.
The peplum design is a trend which has kept gaining more popularity in our society. It’s a design that can be worn either corporately or made with in lovely traditional or aso ebi style.
With peplum, you don’t have to worry much about your body shape. It’s a design that can be worn and use to re define your body shape. It’s a design that gives an illusion of a cinched waist and with the fullness of the flare sitting well on the hip or creating an illusion of one.
Peplum can be made at approximately 2” below your hip bones to give a well-defined figure.
It can be paired with jeans trouser, pencil skirt, pants and so on.
Here is a compilation of some peplum designs collated together for your view and make.

Religion / Don't Give Up......... Keep Moving by dharmielol(f): 2:44pm On Aug 15, 2016
I don’t know where you are reading this from at the moment, neither do I know what you are going through but I’m here to tell you this, do not give up yet…. Keep moving on. It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop. Most times, the enemy uses many things in this world to scare us and make us feel insecure but you’ve got to free yourself and take your power back by believing in yourself, being secure in who you are. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)

Don’t even give it a thought to give up because as soon as you think of leaving, a part of you has already left. But it’s never too late to get it back. It doesn’t matter how many times you get knocked down. All that matters is you getting up each time and get going remember Success is determined by not giving up. Winners never quit. Be determined, be focused, be enthusiastic, yes because that’s the key, that’s the spirit, with determination, nothing in this world can stop you.
