I have had reasons to ship items to the UK previously and sometimes the experience has been under par. The last shipment with another company arrived on the 10th day as against the 7th day as promised and I was pissed because I had people waiting to get their items.

Back in March, I wanted to get snails over and an old acquaintance introduced me to Cuesta logistics limited claiming that the handled shipping outside Nigeria. Ladies and gentlemen, that experience has now cost me dearly!

They promised 2 weeks and later changed this to 15 working days. When I said 2 weeks was more than 15 working days, they assured me that my goods will not take that long.

While we were chatting, they increased their prices from the one they quoted a few hours earlier, I didn't fuss.

Third week of waiting, I get a random text saying I needed to pay an extra £20 for demurrage! Because I was already having issues with people expecting items from me, I had to pay.

Not only did it take longer, I did not get my items till after a month. The snails I ordered had gotten bad and covered in mold before they were delivered!

Someone had also gotten a wristwatch with the shipments and when it took way too long for the items to arrived, I had to make a refund to them (N1.9m)!

Why am I putting this out?

1 Whoever chooses to do business with this company should know what to expect
2 When the items took too long to get here, they claimed that they had reported me to their Uncle who was a police man in London. Why? I don't even know
3 I'll also be taking actions as I deem appropriate as I've lost way too much money and time over a very simple shipment

Moved out of Lagos in 2017 and never looked back. I hardly ever visit and I dont stay more than 2 days even when I do. I have also gotten offers to return to Lagos but I am honestly not interested.

Please note that this does not take away the fact that Lagos is a great place with plenty opportunities.

There has been a severe shortage of dollars in circulation.

CBN is also not releasing dollars to banks for OTC payments

This started around April and now, most bank reserves are completely depleted.

It is not really a function of branch/bank, na national breakfast
