Reports reaching us says, ‘Orente’ crooner, Adekunle Gold, is set to leave his label, YBNL.

Adekunle, whose 2 years contract with record label ends in June, is reportedly leaving to stand instead of renewing the contract.

Recall, Lil Kesh, an ex-signee under the label, left some weeks back after dropping his album Y.A.G.I to start his own label also called Y.A.G.I, which according to him will be managed by YBNL.

According to Thenet, who confirmed the news, Adekunle Gold will be leaving as soon as his contract ends in June and might also be floating his won label.

After his album drops in June, Kunle may leave YBNL to focus on his own label.

Maurice Matheka is a busy man and he receives many clients(mostly married women) daily who need his advice on how to enjoy sex fully.


Here is how he described his job; “It's a job like another and you must be certified. I studied sexology at Rochdale Institute. There are men who are fishermen, others are doctors, others are engineers, and I am a sex therapist.”

According to a statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir David Lawal any worker who participated in the strike called by the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress. would not be entitled to his or her wage.



The statement read: ”The attention of all Public Officers is drawn to the notice issued by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to embark on an indefinite strike from Wednesday, 18th May, 2016. This notice is regrettably given in spite of an Order by the Industrial Court against the strike action. .
Government, therefore, calls upon and advises all workers to respect the laws of the land and to desist from participating in an illegal strike action. Government undertakes to guarantee the safety of workers and their work places, and expects that normal work will continue in the interest of the nation.
Accordingly, Security agencies have been directed to ensure unimpeded access to offices, work places and markets. Acts of intimidation, harassment, including barricading of gates, locking up of offices, blocking of roads and preventing workers from carrying out their lawful duties will be met with appropriate response by the law enforcement agencies. .



All workers, whether in public or private sector are further reminded of the Trade Dispute Act, 2004, which provides that “where any worker takes part in a strike, he shall not be entitled to any wages or remuneration for the period of the strike and any such period shall not count for the purpose of reckoning the period of continuous employment and all rights dependent on continuity of employment shall be prejudicially affected accordingly.

Accordingly, all Ministers, Permanent Secretaries and Heads of Government Agencies are hereby directed to invoke the provision of “no work no pay” in respect of any staff who absents him or herself from work to join the strike action. Attendance registers are required to be opened in all Ministries, Departments and Agencies.”….

Members of the Trade Union Congress TUC have backed out of today's planned strike action by the Ayuba Wabba led NLC. The TUC announced this after a joint meeting between Labor leaders and the Federal government yesterday night.

Electricity workers, NUPENG and PENGASSAN have already signified they will not be participating in the proposed strike action.

According to video clip making rounds on social media, the students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) recently captured a young man who has allegedly been stealing and raping female students in their institution for close to two years now.

The man reportedly drives down from Kwara Polytechnic in a Toyota Camry to the institution and he is said to steal phones, rob people at ATM points and also r*pe female students.

A video shared online showed the alleged rapist stripped n*ked, beaten up and his hands bound as students interrogated him.

Someone could be heard saying his leg should be cut off so he doesn’t steal anymore while others kept throwing questions at him.

Though reports of Tiwa allegedly sleeping with money bags in Nigeria in order to advance her career were prevalent years ago, the source insinuated that her manager and fiance at the time, knew about it and she opened up to him about all her previous relationships but he thought he could handle it.

It’s unclear why Tiwa Savage decided to settle for a society wedding with her alleged love-vendor and abuser, but the source who is close to the couple claims age was probably the reason as it can’t be love.

The source further revealed their marriage almost ended months after they got married, adding that Tiwa discovered her husband was spending her money on things they don’t need. Also Teebillz allegedly kept blackmailing her about her extra-marital affairs. He kept hanging her alleged relationship with oil magnate, Femi Otedola, over her head.

According to the source:

“He accused her of sleeping with Otedola in the early months of her pregnancy. He slapped and locked her out when she was pregnant due to stories of the affair. She never told us if she indeed slept with the man but her husband kept hammering on it. Even if she did, why didn’t he just walk? Let me answer that, he’s broke and in debt and needs that Otedola money.”

It was also gathered that the couple abused substances during the course of their relationship. Its unclear if Tiwa was around drugs during her pregnancy, but another source claims they both abused illicit substances.

The source said:

“While Teebillz was blowing money on women, booze and coke, Tiwa was smoking fish. Abeg make she no lie. Yes, the guy get craze for head, but Tiwa sef mental.”

Tiwa who has opened up on issues in their marriage has confirmed most of these allegations. We only hope they do what is best for their baby’s sake.

A widely coordinated protest held at the University of Ibadan on the 25th of April by the National Association of Nigerian Students (Oyo State Chapter). This was done in solidarity with a student known as MOTE whom students said the University unjustly rusticated for a semester for Gross Misconduct.

This situation was however resolved. ALAS, by 1 Am, residents of ZIK Hall and Independence started another rampage due to the fact there was no electricity and water supply on campus. This massive protest continued in the morning,with certain individuals with masks on involved in the protest.

This mask-wearing then triggered the University authority to close the school for security reasons. All students have been told to go home, they were not to stay beyond 4PM on campus.

As at the time of posting this, the students are still on a rampage across the campus.

Popular singer Keshinro Ololade, stage name Lil Kesh, is set to part ways with his mentor and label boss Olamide. The news of their business separation has been subject of rumours, but there are indications this is not unconnected to the expiration of Kesh’s two-year contract with the Olamide-led label, YBNL Nation.

The Shoki crooner, we gathered, is set to float a label of his own, which he claimed will be in form of a movement.
Olamide has been known to favour a two-year contract with his sign-ons in the belief that it is enough period for them to stand on their ‘two feet’. This is in response to critics who ascribe ulterior motives to his preference.

“Saying Kesh or Victoh or anyone else is gonna leave me is kind ash…y, I want these niggas to be great. Not slaves or dependent,” Olamide said via Twitter.

Although Olamide and Lil Kesh are yet to respond to enquiries as to the status of their relationship, feelers have it that the parting is amicable.

Apparently, Olamide’s wish for his protégées have come true if reports that Lil Kesh is now financially buoyant enough to fund his projects and music videos. Kesh moved from his Lagos mainland base to a posh apartment in the upscale Lekki neighbourhood, and the house is equipped with an in-house studio- all acquired within the space of Kesh’s YBNL contract.

Olamide’s training seems to have paid off as Kesh’s career has taken off in a big way, hence his decision to move on, and do his own thing. As an anonymous source puts it, “Olamide has been training them all to stand on their own and Kesh was the first to blow, that’s why he’s the first to move on.”
Recall that only in January this year, Olamide mounted the stage at the Headies Awards Night to criticise the organisers for not giving the Rookie of the Year award to Kesh.

Congolese music art, Papa Wemba has died at the age of 66. He slumped on stage while performing live during a festival in Abidjan, Ivory Coast at around 5:10pm local time yesterday. He reportedly slumped and died after he had sang his first and second songs and was about to sing the third.

He was popularly referred to as the King of Rhumba Rock.
