MrBrownJay1:to each his own. There are men whose wives have 10 kids for them and baba still Dey fire on all cylinders Dey look for eleventh child 🤣 |
advanceDNA:igbo men cant pronounce for shit. em niggas talk like they in the dark ages. injin oyel |
dibunotion:he is richer than elumelu and ovia combined |
YoshihideSuga:it just depends on what country you are living in, some countries it’s better to own and some countries it’s better to rent. Home ownership in some countries they kill you with taxes and insurance and you can’t give the house to your children or the government takes half of the equity in what is called capital gains tax lol. So to pass your house down to your children you may have to pay the government 100 thousand dollars. You get me ? This is why super rich people just rent |
YoshihideSuga:https://stonexbullion.com/en/blog/best-gold-bars-to-buy/#:~:text=Investors%20should%20always%20look%20towards,and%20Credit%20Suisse%20gold%20bars. |
Joshchi19:for example people waste money buying bags of sand and sinking it into the ground to build house foundation. You are paying for dirt. This is a level of abstract thinking. Rent instead and use all that money to buy gold bars. Any money you get just buy gold bars. If you have collected like 100 gold bars you can move to Florida and buy a small hotel and use some of the gold bars as collateral and just be renting out to tourists. So now your life has evolved because you chose to rent and not be stagnated by sinking all your resources into the ground and be stuck in one place that you built house at. Half of these people sink these moneys into houses in the villages and would die without ever living in the village. Our people have this poverty mentality where they think you are crazy if you are not buying a house. Like something is wrong with you cuz you pay 3m in rent and don’t own. Never occurs to them that if a man can afford 3m in rent he probably earns 30 million a year so 3m is chicken change. They use the same poverty lens to gauge everything without understanding that there are levels to this life. There are some people in banana island paying 50 million Naira a year in rent but own no properties and are digital nomads who have billions in the bank but want to be free spirits with no property ownership tying them down to any country. Next rent season they will be in Thailand renting. So when your mind is expanded to understand these different dynamics you will stop trying to judge life through a poverty lens. Not everyone is interested in property ownership. Some would rather own gold bars than property etc etc |
Firstcitizen:she no scam me. Stay on topic bro. Fact remains it’s poverty mentality that Africans have which makes them very covetous into thinking everything must be owned. And it is this primitive thinking that is limiting the growth of many. Money that you would have used to break into the stratosphere you go sink am into the ground, no pun intended 🤣 Carry money buy dirt and sand. Madness niyen now 🤣 when gold bars Dey dia |
Firstcitizen:hehe now you are just trolling bro. And no her dad is an advertising exec with his own company and 15 employees although the company packed up after Covid but he had that company for close to 30 years. Now he just lectures via zoom |
Firstcitizen:oh to live abroad is no big deal bro, I was born in London. And I just told you the girls father leases high end jaguars and sports cars so you know she is not from the council estates. It’s an upper middle class family |
Firstcitizen:you obviously haven’t lived abroad because if you have you would realize that the super rich over there prefer to rent than to own and prefer to lease cars than to own it. I was married to a white girl whose dad was always leasing cars and with my stupid African poverty mentality mindset I said why not just buy the car ? You are wasting money leasing these cars. That’s when the man sat me down and explained the virtues of leasing as opposed to owning. And my mind has expanded because of that conversation |
Firstcitizen:first question - bro it’s port harcourt not Lagos. Even in lekki a 15 million Naira apartment is over the top talk less of port harcourt Second question ? It’s poverty mentality that makes you think being a tenant is a bad thing. Once you have lived abroad and your mind has opened you will see the benefits of renting which are 1- you are not responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the building 2- anytime you get bored of the area you can rent somewhere else after a year 3 - you have more liquid cash for high profit investments because rent is cheap. You have like 400 million Naira sitting in your account that you would have used to build a house. With that much liquid cash you can do all kinds of business 4- if the house burns down it’s not your property |
Firstcitizen:mumu the 3m is in port harcourt which is equivalent to a 10 million Naira Lagos apartment. That’s an extremely comfortable living in port harcourt where OP is writing from |
700k a month is not too much. I live alone and last month I spent 300k a month. And that’s just 1 person. So for a family of 6 I think 700k is reasonable or even too small. |
Raalsalghul:its poverty mentality that is worrying you |
Firstcitizen:na poverty mentality Dey worry you. There are people paying 10 million Naira per annum in rent in ikoyi who don’t own cars, na Uber everywhere, and their monthly eat out bill is like 1 million Naira. |

It has the most demonic portals in the entire planet and it’s scary. If you are going out of your house and coming back unscathed you have to thank God and your guardian angels. You need spiritual raincoat and shield to exist in these mean Nigerian streets and the demons come to kill steal destroy and devour and just forget the politicians, the demons got them all. Each Nigerian politician houses a legion of demons |
