So I intend to cook the stew and make the semo myself but no way can I make ewedu and the panla cuz I just can’t be bothered. So I went restaurant. Just 2 panla and the ewedu and 4 Sosa orange came to 6500 Naira. But I don’t feel bad about it because I get to doing the calculation. This is like 3 pounds in uk money. As someone who is familiar with the uk I know that panla in naija restaurant in the uk would be 5 pounds each and the ewedu which they didn’t charge me for here in naija would be like 4 pounds ( yeah I wasn’t charged for the ewedu itself just the 2 fish and 4 sosa ) , and the sosa would be 3 pounds each making for a grand total of 26 pounds in the uk but here I only paid 3 pounds aka 6500 Naira. So I ain’t sweating it.

The worst part of it is, if you move with families, whenever you want to renew or extend your visa, it costs a fortune (4000 pounds per person), and those whose kids are old enough to go to university can’t afford it as the children will pay international student fees. Their parents cannot afford it.

Most of these kids have abandoned education and doing menial jobs.

Is it still worth it? The honest response differs for individuals.
