Finaly I will answer your questions, obaino music is a very good friend of mine and my neighbor there in the market, I have been into the marketing and music industry for over 10 years I was once the only distributor of all kennis music work I have done many works with many artist in the music industry and I have marketed over 100 movies to my record that was when the business was good. So for obaino and flavour to have claimed that they sold a million copy they maybe right. A customer from onitsha can take 300,000 the ones in Abuja and northern state can take 200,000 another customer from that same alaba can take 400,000 and people from other part of the country can take the remaining 100,000 PC's these supplied CDs does not mean that they have been sold to the consumers But insubordination has the right to claim they have been sold insubordination himself is suppose to be reducing the sales not increasing it because he will pay for every copy that he has claimed that he sold because he will pay the royalties, But if you want to confirm more you can put a call through to the CDs replication companies for more details the company is nira sounds.they are there at alakija Lagos.

This year's contestants include a Megan Fox look-alike, a pair of twins, and a 39-year-old woman, who is apparently the oldest contestant they've ever had.

SportsArgentina Wants To Stop People From Naming Their Children Messi by Diamondpicture(op): 7:44pm On Sep 10, 2014
Super fans of Lionel Messi who wish to name their children after the Barcelona star will be prohibited from doing so in the forward's home city Argentina

The issue of naming a newborn baby after the Argentina international has been raised after a man from Río Negro, in the south of the country, battled with authorities before being permitted to name his son Messi Daniel Varela.

However, an Argentina civil servant has moved quickly to ensure there aren't a deluge of children in Rosario, the forward's home city, with Messi as their first name.

The director of the Civil Register of the Santa Fe province, Gonzalo Carrillo, has said Messi is a surname and is not permitted to be used as a forename. According to Barcelona newspaper Marca, the director insisted it was "against the law" as it may bring about confusion. Carrillo did however concede that the registration of Messi as a first name in the province of Río Negro could set a precedent.

The naming of the child in Río Negro was the first Argentinian to be called Messi and as such has led to something of a fuss. The father was quoted: "I am Messi's father. Many people chose Lionel as a name for their sons after Messi, but this is more obvious".

It is not only children that fans are wanting to lend the Messi name to. Earlier this year, Catalonia's veterinary association released figures that suggested 701 cats and dogs in the region are named after the footballer.

Nairaland GeneralSome Real Fact About Life by Diamondpicture(op): 11:16am On Aug 14, 2014
On the first day, God created
the dog and said: "Sit all day by
the door of your house and
bark at anyone
who comes in or walks past.
For this, I will give you a life
span of twenty years."
The dog said: "That's a long
time to be barking. How about
only ten years and I'll give you
back the other ten?"
So God agreed.
On the second day, God
created the monkey and said:
"Entertain people, do tricks,
and make them laugh. For this,
I'll give you a twenty-year life
span."
The monkey said: "Monkey
tricks for twenty years? That's
a pretty long time to perform.
How about I give you back ten
like the Dog did?"
And God agreed.
On the third day, God created
the cow and said: "You must
go into the field with the
farmer all day
long and suffer under the sun,
have calves and give milk to
support the farmer's family. For
this, I will give you a life span
of sixty years."
The cow said: "That's kind of a
tough life you want me to live
for sixty years. How about
twenty and I'll give back the
other forty?"
And God agreed again.
On the fourth day, God created
man and said: "Eat, sleep, play,
marry and enjoy your life. For
this, I'll give you twenty years."
But man said: "Only twenty
years? Could you possibly give
me my twenty, the forty the
cow gave back, the ten the
monkey gave back, and the ten
the dog gave back; that makes
eighty, okay?"
"Okay," said God, "You asked
for it."
So that is why the first twenty
years we eat, sleep, play and
enjoy ourselves. For the next
forty years
we slave in the sun to support
our family. For the next ten
years we do monkey tricks to
entertain the grandchildren.
And for the last ten years we
sit on the front porch and bark
at everyone.
Life has now been explained to
you.
Nairaland GeneralNewly Wed Nurse Is Ebola Case No 10 by Diamondpicture(op): 1:56pm On Aug 12, 2014
A newly wed nurse who treated Patrick Sawyer in hospital is the 10th confirmed case to test positive for Ebola virus disease, 22 days after the disease hit Nigeria.
The nurse joined seven others in quarantine and treatment after she was diagnosed at the weekend, but her husband is under surveillance, health minister Onyebuchi Chukwu said.
Some 177 people are now under surveillance, up from 139 announced Friday.

Treatment of the eight people quarantined in past weeks has primarily involved antibiotics, electrolytes replacement to combat dehydration in the absence of definite response from the US for experimental drug ZMapp, which was administered to two American doctors who contracted the virus in Liberia.
But Chukwu said the eight on treatment were responding and getting "ready to go."
Case fatality rate for Ebola in Nigeria still is under 30% in Nigeria, compared with 55% in the three other affected countries in West Africa where death toll from the disease nears 1,000.
Chukwu said Nigeria and its partners in the sub-region would continue struggle against ebola but would not close its borders until it absolutely has to.
He ruled out possibility that Sawyer's deliberate evasion of authorities and trip which imported Ebola to Nigeria would be construed as a diplomatic incident.
He said that the Liberian Government has expressed its deepest sympathies and regrets that Mr. Sawyer had even embarked on this tragic journey, which has brought needless sufferings, death and has placed an unnecessary stress on our health system
Nairaland GeneralU.S. Conducts Airstrikes On ISIS In Iraq by Diamondpicture(op): 7:07pm On Aug 08, 2014
U.S. strikes ISIS artillery in Iraq
A A A (resize font)
Washington (CNN) - Two U.S. F/A-18 jet fighters bombed artillery of Sunni Islamic extremists in Iraq on Friday, escalating America's military involvement more than two years after President Barack Obama brought home forces from the country.

Obama authorized "targeted airstrikes" if needed to protect U.S. personnel from fighters with ISIS, which calls itself the Islamic State. The U.S. military also could use airstrikes to prevent what officials warn could be a genocide of minority groups by the ISIS fighters.

Meanwhile, a senior Kurdish official told CNN that ISIS militants captured Iraq's largest hydroelectric dam, just north of Mosul, Iraq's second-largest city. According to the official, the militant fighters have been using U.S.-made weapons seized from the Iraqi army, including M1 Abrams tanks.

There had been conflicting reports about who controlled the dam on the Tigris River, with heavy fighting under way between ISIS fighters and Kurdish forces, known as Peshmerga. U.S. officials have warned that a failure of the dam would catastrophic, resulting in flooding all the way to Baghdad.

In other fighting, an Iraqi airstrike killed 45 ISIS fighters and injured 60 Friday in the northern town of Sinjar, the country's state-run National Media Center said.

Sinjar is the town that ISIS raided last weekend, causing members of the Yazidi minority there to flee into surrounding mountains without food, water or shelter and prompting concerns of a potential genocide.

U.S. flights prohibited

Other signs of a growing regional conflict: The Federal Aviation Administration issued a notice prohibiting U.S. airlines from flying through Iraqi airspace "due to the hazardous situation created by the armed conflict."

The developments showed that the lightning advance by ISIS fighters across northern Iraq this year has become a battle for the nation's future and overall stability in a part of the world wracked for decades by periodic war.

French President François Hollande strongly condemned ISIS attacks against the Iraqi population and vulnerable minorities such as Yazidis and Christians and called for the international community to respond.

Human to human transmission is only achieved by physical contact with a person who is acutely and gravely ill from the Ebola virus or their body fluids. Continue...
• Transmission among humans is almost exclusively among caregiver family members or health care workers tending to the very ill.
• The virus is easily killed by contact with soap, bleach, sunlight, or drying. A washing machine will kill the virus in clothing saturated with infected body fluids.
• A person can incubate the virus without symptoms for 2-21 days, the average being 5-8 days before becoming ill. THEY ARE NOT CONTAGIOUS until they are acutely ill.
• Only when ill does the viral load express itself first in the blood and then in other bodily fluids (to include vomit, feces, urine, breast milk, semen and sweat).
• If you are walking around you are not infectious to others.
• There are documented cases from Kikwit, DRC of an Ebola outbreak in a village that had the custom of children never touching an ill adult. Children living for days in small one room huts with parents who died from Ebola did not become infected.
• You cannot contract Ebola by handling money, buying local bread or swimming in a pool.

PoliticsUS Army General Killed In Afghanistan On First Deployment To War Zone - See More by Diamondpicture(op): 8:49am On Aug 07, 2014
Harold J Greene, the two-star Army general who
became the highest-ranking US military officer to
be killed in either of America’s post-9/11 wars, was
an engineer who rose through the ranks as an
expert in developing and fielding the army’s war
materiel. He was on his first deployment to a war
zone.
Greene was killed Tuesday when a gunman
believed to be an Afghan soldier opened fire at a
military academy near Kabul. More than a dozen
other coalition soldiers were wounded, including
about eight Americans, according to early accounts
of the attack. It was among the bloodiest insider
attacks of the war in Afghanistan.
The army’s top soldier, General Ray Odierno,
issued a statement Tuesday evening saying the
army’s thoughts and prayers were with Greene’s
family as well as the families of those injured in
the attack.
In a 34-year career that began at Fort Polk,
Louisiana, Greene, a native of upstate New York,
earned a reputation as an inspiring leader with a
sense of humility. He had been in Afghanistan
since January, serving as deputy commander of a
support command called the Combined Security
Transition Command, in Kabul.
At the time of the September 11, 2001 terrorist
attacks, Greene was serving at Fort Leonard Wood,
Missouri, and when the US invaded Iraq in March
2003, he was a student at the Army War College in
Carlisle, Pennsylvania, at the rank of lieutenant
colonel.
Greene flourished in the less glamorous side of the
army that develops, tests, builds and supplies
soldiers with equipment and technology. That is a
particularly difficult job during wartime, since
unconventional or unanticipated battlefield
challenges like roadside bombs in Iraq and
Afghanistan, call for urgent improvements in
equipment.
In 2009-2011, for example, he served as deputy
commanding general of the army’s Research,
Development and Engineering Command and
senior commander of the Natick Soldier System
Center at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Aberdeen,
Maryland. During that tour of duty he gained the
rank of brigadier general, and at his promotion
ceremony in December 2009 he was lauded for his
leadership skills and ability to inspire those
around him.
Lt General Stephen Speakes applauded Greene for
a “sense of self, a sense of humility” and an
exemplary work ethic, according to an account of
the promotion ceremony published by the Times
Union of Albany, New York, which called Greene
an Albany native.
“In every job I had we got things done that I think
m*de our army better, and it was done by other
people,” Greene was quoted as saying. “All I did
was try to pull people in the right direction and
they went out and did great things.”
Greene and his wife, Susan, lived in the
Washington suburb of Falls Church, Virginia,
where neighbors recalled he would often go for
morning runs, The Washington Post reported. The
Greenes’ son Matthew is also in the army and their
daughter, Amelia, recently graduated from
Binghamton University in New York.
Greene earned a bachelor of science degree in
materials engineering and a master’s degree in
industrial engineering, both from Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. He later
studied at the University of Southern California
and also attended the US Army Command and
General Staff College at Leavenworth, Kansas.
In 2010, he spoke at the opening of the Social
Cognitive Networks Academic Research Center, a
research facility at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
with the mission of improving the army’s
understanding of social, information and
communication networks, according to the army’s
account of the event.
“We’re in a fight now with an enemy that’s a little
bit different and uses different techniques ... and
networks are a key part of that,” Greene said.
He said finding patterns in the tactics of insurgents
was difficult because of the way networks evolve
and otherwise change. So the goal was to bring to
light the patterns and determine how to anticipate
and influence the actions of insurgents.
“The enemy is every bit as good as we are at using
that network to our detriment so this is essential
work, this is about defending our country,” Greene
said. “You must know that there is a direct
application on the battlefield and we’re using it
today, but we don’t really understand it yet so this
is a critical element.”
His awards include the Legion of Merit, the
Distinguished Service Medal, a Meritorious Service
Award and an Army Commendation Medal.

Nairaland GeneralA Businessman And An Importer Of Musical Equipment At Alaba International Market by Diamondpicture(op): 11:14am On Aug 06, 2013
A businessman and an importer of musical equipment at Alaba International Market, Ojo area of Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, has beenhacked to death in his houseby two assailants.
The late Chidi Ejimudo
Mr. Chidi Ejimudo, 38, was hacked to death at midnightrecently in his apartment at Lion Gate, Isashi area of Ojo.
How the assailants gained entrance into the building is still a mystery. It was gathered that Ejimudo was hacked 19 times on the head and chest and he died before he could be rushed tothe hospital.
He was brutally killed in the presence of his wife, Vivian Ejimudo and the house girl, Tochi Obi, 13.
The autopsy carried out on the deceased by Dr. U.V. Okeke of the Department of Pathology and Forensic, Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, revealed that Chidi had 19 deep cuts on his body, disruption of the lungs and heart and a sharp force trauma, which led to his death.
Considering the manner he was murdered, members of Ejimudo's family have suspected that the killers of their brother were in the apartment long before they went to bed that night.
They said they suspect that the murder of their brother was planned by insiders, adding that the house consists of six rooms and a fierce dog guards the compound at night.
Senior brother of Chidi, ChiefJohn Ejimudo, wondered why the dog was locked up in the security house the night the attack was carried out.
He said if the dog was not locked up it could have easily overpowered the murderers who were not armed with guns.
According to him, "I was in my house sleeping when I heard a knock around 2.30 a.m. and I inquired who wasthere and my brother's wife,Vivian, shouted from outside that my brother has been attacked by two men with cutlasses and that they injured him.
"I asked her why she didn't call me on phone but she said the battery on her phone was flat.
"I rushed to the house and right from the staircase, I saw blood everywhere. When I got to his room, I saw him lying on the ground drenched in his blood and I turned him round, called his name and he did not answer.
We rushed him to a private hospital in the area where I was told that he was already dead." John said the matter was reported at the Isashi Police Station, but that the police were too slow in carrying out investigation of the murder.
He said the case was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Panti, adding that while the house girl was initially detained, the father of Vivian, Ezinwa Okonkwo, took Vivian awayto his house.
According to him, when Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP, Bola from SCID came to the house with his men "and saw that the doors or burglary proof were not broken and that the dog was locked up in the cage when the attack took place, he suspected that the killers may have been hiding inside the house before the family went to bed that night and that the killing may be the work of an insider."
John said that was when Vivian, his brother's wife, was arrested as the prime suspect by the police along with the house girl and were taken to Panti. Vivian was released two days later after she got sureties to facilitate her bail.

John said: "we suspect that our brother was murdered by an insider. We wonder why his wife did not shout for help when the killers came into the house as they were not holding guns or even assist him fight for his life."
The house girl, Tochi, gave a vivid account of how her master was hacked to deathwith a machete by the assailants. According to her, she was sleeping in her room that night when she heard some people talking in hushed tone behind her room inside the house.
"They entered my room andI saw them holding long knife, the type used by butchers. They woke me up and warned me not to shout.
They asked me how many people lived in the house and I told them three peopleand they asked me who wassleeping with my master and I said his wife.
They asked me to go and knock at their door and tell my master that I had stomach problem and I went there and knocked.
My master inquired from inside what the problem was and I told him I had serious stomach problem and he opened the door andsaw me with a man with a machete, while the other one was hiding by the door.
My master tried to close the door and lock it back but theman with me was using the cutlass to cut his hand. That was when the second man came to help his colleague and they started to machetehim while I ran into the room and saw my master's wife by the wardrobe," she explained.

My mistress begged them toallow her go into the neighbourhood to get some money for them but they refused. They asked her for gold and they took what shehad and slapped her.
They told my mistress that she should come and visit them at a place I could not remember in case she wanted to see them, before they went away."

Nairaland GeneralSmall Story Of A Great Thieve Lawrence Nomanyegbon Also Known As Aninih by Diamondpicture(op): 3:53pm On Aug 04, 2013
The Free Encyclopedia wrote of him thus:

“Lawrence Nomanyagbon Anini (c. 1960 – March 29, 1987) was a Nigerian bandit who terrorized Benin City in the 1980s along with his sidekick Monday Osunbor. He was captured and executed for his crimes.

He was born Lawrence Nomanyagbon Anini; but he re-christened himself ANINI THE LAW. He sent fears and chills down the spine of many a Nigerian – particularly residents of Benin city in the old Bendel State!

To underscore his notoriety, especially the embarrassing registration of his presence in the consciousness of Nigerians right up to the Presidency, his dangerous andawe-inspiring exploits compelled then military President, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, to ask his Inspector General of Police, IGP, Etim Inyang, the very

famous question: “My friend, where is Anini”?

Anini The Law, as he was known then, grew larger than life such that the myth woven around him was so deifying that people actually thought he was a god or some type of spirit being that he was imbued with the qualities of omnipotence, omnipresent and omniscience.

He operated a team of just about four to five members. For a skilled taxi driver who was born in a villagejust some 20kms from the heart of Benin city, Anini became a Capone in his own right at the motor parks; this, after serving time with some leaders of gangs in the underworld.

He was said to have struck a deal with some policemen to help suppress evidence in a case involvingsome members of his gang but the deal did not yield the desired result.

This, reports had it, led to his anger against the police for betraying him. It is for this reason that Oyakhire and some other very senior police officers had to be drafted to Benin for his case. So notorious was Anini that even WIKIPEDIA could not but acknowledge that he once existed

“Anini was born in a village about 20miles from Benin City in present day Edo State. He migrated to Benin at an early age, learned to drive and became a skilled taxi driver in a few years. He became known in Benin motor parks as a man who could control the varied competing interest among motor park touts and operators.

He later dived into the criminal business in the city and soon becamea driver and transporter for gangs, criminal godfathers and thieves. Later on, he decided to create his own gang and they started out as car hijackers, bus robbers and bank thieves. Gradually, he extended his criminal acts to other towns and cities far north and east of Benin.

The complicity of the police is believed to have triggered Anini’s reign of terror in 1986. In early 1986, two members of his gang were tried and prosecuted against an earlier under-the-table bribe induced agreement with the police to destroy evidence against the gangmembers.

The incident, and Anini’s view of police betrayal, is believed to have spurred retaliatory actions by Anini. On August, 1986, a fatal bank robbery linked to Anini was reported in which a police officer and a child were killed. That same month, two officers on duty were shot at a barricade while trying to stop Anini’s car. During a span of three months, he was known to have killed 9 police officers. He wrote numerous letters to media houses using political tones of Robin Hood-like words to describe his criminal acts.

On December 3, 1986, he was caughtat a house off a main street of Benin City in the company of a girl friend. Anini was shot in the leg, transferredto a military hospital, and had one ofhis legs amputated. The country’s military leader, Babangida, demanded a speedy trial. Anini was convicted of most of his charges and was executed on March 29, 1987; also his friend Monday Osunbor was sentenced to death.
