Good morning House, I am trying to submit my application for Masters but I am confused about the Deadline for application

Winter Semester Summer Semester
Master (M.A., M.Sc., M.Ed.) with NC 31st May 15th January
Master (M.A., M.Sc., M.Ed.) without NC 15th July 15th January

I am confused about this NC shit!

Here is the link to get to the page where I saw this

https://www.hu-berlin.de/de/studium/bewerbung/formulare/engl-assist.pdf

NC, means numerus clausus. it means that the admission is restricted and highly competitive. Thanks

Hmmm, thanks. I already booked with studentenwerk and on the waiting list. Do you know if they grant one or two year residence permit cos to fund the blocked account for another year no be beans o?

You are gonna get 1 year. But renewing it is not a problem. All u need is to have a job and a valid student registration certificate. You do not need to lodge another 8k to renew your permit. Thanks

Anyone who has information about hannover in here should please share. I need info about the city such as accommodation, jobs and general cost of living. Thanks

Every German city is expensive for students! But I have got good news for you smiley for accommodation, i advise u to immediately contact the studentenwerk in Hannover, they are the only good option for cheap student hostel. Hannover is a great city and very international. There are alot of student jobs where they do not expect high level of german langauge. You can get mini job. Eat less of African food cos they are expensive smiley buy german groceries and u good to go smiley

Thanks bro, so using a Nigerian sponsor is totally not an option, not minding the figures on their statement of account?

You cannot use a sponsor in Nigeria. But u can use a Nigerian residing and working legally in Germany. Thanks

Hmmmmmm.... What a rare gem you are! Despite my use of harsh and abusive words to you, you responded with class, civility and deference. I am just short of words my brother. I was expecting a more venomous response from you but you I was "disappointed" . If the world was populated by persons like you, we would be living in a very peaceful world. I am indeed overwhelmed.

Sorry for my abusive wordz. You won already. May God bless you richly and turn the hot - tempered into people of peace like you

No man is an island! Together we shall succeed. I appreciate you my brother!

Please bro, I'm applying for my M.Sc. the problem I will be having is with the 8,000k deposit. Actually my sister is sponsoring me. Is there any other option apart from the outright blocked deposit? Justwise eke40seven please help me

Two Options:
1. Block account.
2. A German residence with a high paying job that is enough to cover his/her own expenses and still got enough to take care of your needs as a student. For example, U have an uncle that earns 1,200 euros monthly Lets say that he's monthly flat rent is 600, utilities 120, car loan 100. That is a total of 820.When you subtract 820 from 1,200 he is left with 380. Such person cannot sign as your sponsor because according to German law, students must have at least 670 euro to survive monthly. So take for example he gets 2,200 euro monthly salary then u are good to go because he got enough income to sponsor you after taking care of his own bills. I hope u are cleared. Thanks

Childish play with words. Must you post on what u are ignorant about just to sound intelligent.

Most and majority?! Most accept 2.2 and at the same time majority do not. Are you drunk this morning?
Grow up u goat

Thanks for your comment sir! In Germany, there is Hochschule meaning University of applied sciences. They also have the normal University called Universität. They are not the same here in Germany and most times they have different admission criteria. They both operate Bsc and Masters program but Hochschule do not accept PhD students but Universität do accepts PhD.

Sometimes, its easier to get into Hochschule when you have 2.2 from a Nigerian University and not so easy with Universität. This might sound confusing to non German residence. The truth is there are over 3 kinds of secondary schools in germany and your primary school certificates determines the kind of secondary school you gonna attend and your secondary, determines if you gonna attend hochschule, Universität, Berufkollege or ausbildung. I am sorry if i misused the english words but the point is...it is easier to get into Hochschule with 2.2 from Nigerian University.

I am not a goat though!

My first question is does, German Universities accept a 2.2 for Masters?

Thanks for your quick response

It depends on the University. Most Hochschule accepts 2.2 but majority of Üniversitat do not

Gooomorning Fam,

Please, I need urgent clarification, if you make applications fee payments Via Uni-assist Today or 2mao mornin( Monday) for application which the deadline is June 15(Wed) is it possible to meet up? Or how long does it take Uni-assist to acknowledge payment, and how long does it take for Documents being posted from Berlin to Uni-assist office to get to their office?..

it depends on where u are paying from. If you pay in Germany using automat or counter, it takes one working day. If you pay using a german bank through their online platform, it goes immediately. Mail from Berlin to uni-assist takes 2 working days.
