I am a chemical engineering graduate. I graduated few months ago. I know I messed up by not learning a skill while in university, but I want to believe it’s not too late. I will probably be going for NYSC by the end of this year due to how my school operates. For now, I’m just at home doing nothing. By the grace of God, one of my uncles in the USA wants to sponsor my master’s degree there after my NYSC, and I believe nothing will disrupt that plan. However, for now, I would love to learn an online skill that can generate income. Please advise me.

for me what I'd advise is.. You're still young and if you're not afraid of knife, I'd say u should go for surgery to avoid loosing ur testis/sperm cells to azoospermia, though urologist would tell u it's 50/50 to get ur sperm back and your count on the test with dead sperm cells are very low but I can assure u I've 5 people who have done the surgery in different hospital both general and private who were able to get their sperm count drastically and who are married amongst them achieve conception.

Good evening my fellow nairalanders.This is my result.I did a scrotal scan few months ago and was diagnosed with Varicocele.I am 22 years.I'm just unhappy with the whole issue.Sir what can you say "Kingadex60 " and my seniors here??

Marriage is 2 years already.
Wify got pregnant before the wedding which hastened the wedding plans but lost the pregnancy after few weeks.
Months went by, no other pregnancy until we both took tests. My test came back as having low sperm count. Treated with Manix, Addyzoa, Kedi drugs, used different concoctions (agbo) so tey i tire.
Was later said i have varicocele, had the surgery to correct. Now on Manix again, hoping I get complete healing.

Please where did you undergo the surgery?

I feel pain sometimes but it does not happen everyday.The pain is like 2 or 3/10

Don't be depressed, your condition is not an ailment, just a physiological condition that does not pose any health risk but can be corrected through medical procedures.

I was diagnosed with mild bilateral varicocele a year after I got married because my wife couldn't conceive. It made my sperm count drop drastically and the doctor said I needed surgery to arrest the condition but I was concerned when I learned the surgery is 50:50. I decided not to go in for surgery so I opted for a second medical opinion from another urologist. The second urologist placed me on some supplements, while I was on the supplements I and my wife were also praying. Within the space of 3 months my wife took in and we welcomed our first child 9 months later.

I share my story because varicocele does not always lead to infertility but there could be other underlying factors such as infections and hormonal imbalance. That reminds me, while I was taking the supplement I noticed that my sexual urge increased and the frequency of having sex with my wife increased invariably too. Above all, GOD answered our prayers.
You are young and single, good thing you discovered it on time.. Opt for the surgery if you feel up to it but seek second medical opinion as well.

Thank you for taking your time to type this.I was told by the urologist that after the surgery,they normally get like 70% improvement in the affected men but 30% showed no improvement.I am in my final year in the university and I don't want this to affect me.I just want to focus for now and still hope on God.
Pls while taking the supplement,did you notice any changes on the veins in your scrotum region because as it stands,looking and touching my scrotum,I can see and feel those large veins

I feel pain occasionally.A mild pain.I have discussed with my parents about the surgery but I want to be done with my first semester first so that we can be gathering money for it,then I will use my short break to do it. Thanks for the concern.I really feel bad that I have such but I am happy I detected it now and started making moves

Good day all.I noticed my left scrotum is bigger than my right and it looks like the left have bag of worms and I have a mild pain sometimes on the left side.So today I went to the hospital,a doctor inspected my scrotum and confirm that I have varicocele.
I suppose to do a scan for it today but I was rescheduled for Monday.The doctor said I will do a seminal fluid analysis (SFA) to check my sperm.I and my mom went to the area they do that and the lab attendant there is saying I should masturbate today and then by Monday,I should come back and I will masturbate again in the hospital so they can inspect the sample.Pls will masturbating today drops my sperm count.I am kind of confused.I am also a virgin

Parents should always preach Godliness to their children right from when the children starts to walk and talk.

Like you opined also, she needs to be withdrawn from the boarding school, to be able to spend more time with her.
The bro and mum needs to do more talking about God, they should NEVER be harsh with her as it'll worsen the situation, they should be direct though in terms of the discussions, also enquire and letting her know that she's only being used and Nothing else, re-channel her towards her studies, on how to be successful in life, on present realities, and that it's not that she won't still 'enjoy' whatever she's enjoying now later on, she should never allow herself to be used cos that's what is happening now with her, they really need to make her understand.
Don't pump too much into her at once, it's little at a time, it'll take time but will be worth it.
It'll be well.
