APC is already sure of victory in the South west, so I think it will make sense for them to choose an Igbo VP in order to split the SE and Igbo votes in general, this will help compensate for the loss of votes in North central due to the herdsmen killings and loss of votes in order parts of the North owing to the fact that the opponent this time around is a fellow northerner.

for me,if they pick VP from southwest it is not a mistake. it is just a strategy to defeat buhari in southwest.if Igbo's are in position of southwest now,having the VP slot, and PDP Zone VP to yorubas we will feel will are being robbed of VP and then revolt against PDP and still vote for Apc

Anything other than VP from SE will be the biggest insult ever on the Igbo race. Since 1999 that we have been supporting PDP. Voter turnout by Igbos will be less than 20% and Yorubas will still not give Atiku more than 50% at best, which will result in a loss for him. They should not make that mistake.
