People that act without applying the content of their head but only out of sentiments, misinformation and emotional manipulation don’t deserve a place in a civilized society

The fact remains that Naira Marley is 100% innocent of the entire accusations of whatever they tried to sell to tarnish him
The only thing naira Marley is innocent of is a actually killing Mohbad

Then, the middle was more than 95%!!

Middle class, the backbone of any thriving economy. As of when PDP left the government, that class was close to 75%. The government of Buhari reduced and eroded it to 40%.
Tinubu now exacerbated it to 3% and still going down. By January 2026, with all the tax reforms, that remaining percent will be gone.

That is why major brands are closing shops. The ones remaining are either selling at exorbitant prices and at a lower quality or higher price with reduced quantity.

Hopefully when the full tax reform takes place which everyone that has an account must have a TIN (Tax Identification Number), and the impact becomes obvious, then we can now begin to hold our political office holders responsible and begin to elect the best of us to lead instead of the current state capture by persons with questionable characters, ex-convits, cultists, terrorists and religious fanatics, etc
But if you will be honest, it's a worldwide phenomenon , the global middle class has shrunk significantly in the last decade.

I am actually curious about somethings..

Under this government, most of the sectors and institutions are now independent..Should we still be blaming the presidency for some things.

The insecurity in North, starting from the NSA Ribadu who is from the North, Governors, to the Senators, HOR members, HOA members, Emirs, group leaders etc.

Please what's their own responsibility in the killings here and there in North lately?
Don't lose sleep
It's the usual northern pattern whenever a southerner is in power.... CDS Musa, a northern christian thats not afraid to speak already spoke
The spike in insecurity and killings is tied to the next general election. They need to create the atmosphere of fear so that a northerner can become President.

But don't you know Pbat again, he will sort it out.
The Kaduna dwarf is a main suspect and it's his former friend NSA ribadu that will clip his wings when the time comes.

Maybe he didn't end poverty in 8 years as governor but he took Kaduna from an average of 9 billion naira per year IGR to over 60 billion naira when he left office. Kaduna became the Northern State with the highest IGR during his tenure. Kaduna was consistently top 5 state that attracted the highest FDI while he was governor. He embarked on the iconic and ambitious KadunaUrbanRenewal drive that transformed the city of Kaduna into a very modern city. You can either visit Kaduna to see for yourself or do your research online. There's no Nigerian alive that can doubt the capacity of Elrufai to deliver in any task he's assigned. He delivered as DG BPE, delivered as FCT Minister (still the best till date) and delivered as governor of Kaduna state.
True
But also can't deny the fact that he was genocidal against southern Kaduna people

I don't have issues with him, it's those looking for a saint in government that have issues with him. We can either chose development or underdevelopment

GEJ is referring to the same group of people we all know about. The people who praised Buhari as the best for 8 years, then condemned him as the worst as soon as he handed over.

Whenever you hear backstabbing/betrayal, it’s always this same group of people. They’re online 24/7 using Amaechi’s laptops for propaganda. United by hate against Igbos, and chameleons by nature.
Tell yourself the truth, GEJ had no business contesting In 2015.
It was the turn of the north. He has completed the mandate given to a northerner and still want to contest when it was the turn of the north to produce the president again?
This was the same reason Atiku couldn't win in 2023.... You can want to take over after a northerner has done 8 years, Nigerian Politics doesn't work that way...... It's an unritten law,but political power should rotate between the north and south to manage our complexities.

Is that not how Enugu and Kaduna that regional headquarters have been? It is long overdue.
Ibadan is the only former regional capital that is yet to transform into a state, this is the strongest argument for the creation of Ibadan state. And Ibadan is viable economically too as its the economic backbone of the state, aside it being the political capital of the south west .
PoliticsRe: Ibadan Becoming A State Is Long Overdue - Olubadan-designate, Ladoja by Difrent: 5:49am On Sep 05, 2025
malali:
What exactly is the criteria for demanding statehood?

If someone insists that Ibadan should be made a state, shouldn’t he face the public in a proper press conference to explain why?

Look at America:
• Texas is so massive you can drive 24 hours across it and still be in the same state.
• Some U.S. states even stretch across multiple time zones.

Yet, they’re not breaking themselves up into little fragments every time someone feels entitled.

Meanwhile, here, every small local government with three roundabouts wants to crown itself a “state.” For what? Prestige? More political appointments? Access to federal allocation?

This constant agitation for micro-states is unserious. Real states are built around economic viability, infrastructure, and governance capacity, not just sentiment.

Until someone can define the hard criteria, population size, GDP output, landmass, resources, this noise about turning every LGA into a state is nothing but a distraction.
State creation is done to put some agitation to rest. Creating Ibadan state will make political social and economic development spread to the other parts of the present Oyo state have which have been largely neglected because Ibadan alone takes 2/3rd of almost everything.

Besides , Oyo is the largest southern state by land mass, almost as big as the entire south east. Other states needs to be broken too like Kaduna , Niger and Borno. But I don't agree with all agitators even though I wouldn't want to deny them the opportunity to try and make a case for themselves

So, why are other supermarkets opening up and spreading fast in the same country?

Grand Square, Addide, Bokku, Jendol, Just rite, etc

Why are open markets not shutting down?
Many Nigerians don't want to reason like this so I stopped trying to make them reason this way.
The fact is as some are leaving many others are moving in. Multinational companies due to market dynamics are prone to changes like this In some markets they are not doing well so that it won't drag the whole group down... which was what ShopRite did by shutting down in many countries to concentrate on SA fully.

Besides , as western Companies are moving out (they've eaten enough now) Oriental and far eastern companies are moving in for the kill, they see the potential that most Nigerians are not seeing

All the government needs do is provide safety nets for the poor..... Even at the risk of the thieves in government stealing lots of it.... Then it can sit back and watch it's reforms kick in and kickstart real economic growth, unlike the cosmetics and voodoo economies we've had In the past

it's all about politics.

Nigerian people's purchasing power is dying everyday. Nigerians now buy mostly what they need to survive like basic food, etc, and those that use to patronize ShopRite and other big shopping malls now go back to traditional markets due to harsh economy.

Nigeria's Middleclass population that made ShopRite and other big shopping malls and outlets to boom are almost gone; most lost their jobs, relocated to remote areas, some migrated abroad, many got kidnapped, so Nigeria currently have very insignificant Middleclass population all thanks to Bola Tinubu's thoughtless and insensitive economic policies that created more poor people than rich people in Nigeria.
