Meedon: My friend is a drug addict. He takes all kinds of drugs like codeine, totoline, nicotine, emzolyn, Arizona, weed, loud and etc. E remain only colos weh him never take.
He has tried numerous times to quit this dangerous habit, it always ends in futility. He narrated his ordeal to me. He told me that he always thought of commiting suicide but I preached to him that anyone who commit suicide would go to hell.
What can this my friend do to break free from the shackles of this menace called drug addiction? Please I need your candid opinion. My friend's life matter.
He is so emaciated, looking older than his age. Those who are is elder are bowing down to greet him, little did they know that he is just in is mid_20s.
During his regime, dollar may be less than 100 Naira.
During his regime there were several jobs.
During his regime there was no "mad" japa syndrome.
During his regime, there was better security than now.
He did his best to build the economy and also famously the debt forgiveness and things like liberalizing the telecoms sector.
But also One of the worst in terms of democratic credentials Under him, democrats were almost giving up, Buhari even cried on national TV as a result of the brazenness of Baba iyabo .
pazienza: Even liars can mistakenly spill the truth at times, especially when they start quarrelling within themselves. That's certainly the case with Awolowos suicide, and his failed attempt at ousting IBB.
Peterobiisathie: I agreed with you since it is your usual anthem
Smart man
Stylishly staying away from rubbish talk on a Monday morning when work dey not to be bogged down by folks who hide under their wives and mother's wrappers on Mondays because they scared of one short Ekpa
GistMedia0: In a historic shift, lawyers and judges in Burkina Faso will now wear exclusively African clothing in court, marking the end of the colonial-era tradition of donning European-style wigs and robes. The decision aligns with the country’s broader push for cultural identity and self-reliance, eliminating the need for imported legal attire.
This decision marks a significant step in reinforcing African heritage and pride, aligning with a broader movement across the continent to break free from imposed traditions. Many view this as an act of cultural liberation, symbolizing a shift in mindset that prioritizes African identity over remnants of colonial influence.
Observers believe this move reflects a growing wave of consciousness across Africa, with Burkina Faso’s leader,Captain Ibrahim Traoré, seen as a driving force in this revolution. As more African nations challenge outdated colonial practices, will others take inspiration from Burkina Faso’s example?
Thomas Sankara will be smiling wherever he is that his death wasn't in vain...... He changed their name from Upper volta to Burkina faso which means land of honest men
God1000: Donald trump should go to hell, he's a big embarrassment and a disgrace to his office, you don't talk to another president that way
I have never seen a President act so disrespectful to a President of another country in my life. zelensky should have walked out on him.
Trump is a vile bully, his behaviour was appalling, Zelenskyy has shown strength and dignity that trump could only dream of
When he was receiving 350 billion dollars from Biden he was feeling funky, Trump even described him as the best salesman of the year, anytime he comes to America , he leaves with at least 60 billion dollars ...... That was until Trump came and told him point blank, you can't win this , make peace Is that too much for the comedian ?
baby124: This is what happens when instead of develOPing local capacity, you run all over the world desperate for foreign investment. These are the kind of investors you attract. Most of them have organized crime background and will only bring crime and problems to your country. You help them open global office out of desperation. If it’s not major company’s coming to invest, it’s desperate criminals.
Foreign investment indeed Wein dey pain me for naija own na how the "foreign investment" is mainly made up of alcohol producing companies from India, Lebanon and China
Dynamicboss: Nigeria is not in anyway the option if you want to stay and build your life except you join politics or manipulate your way to wealthy class. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying there are people not doing well legitimately but they are few.
I laugh when I read comments like this
So where will the 220 million of us go to and which country will take us in. The fact is NOT EVERYBODY WILL JAPA EVEN IF ENTRY WAS THROWN OPEN, I mean some people will be like the west is full of diseases , id rather remain in my naija.
Please Japa if you can afford it , but please stop making it look like people that don't Japa don't have a future , they do and it may be brighter than some of those that japa
malali: The West sells you a dream: "Come abroad, earn in dollars, live the good life." But behind this promise is a well-designed trap. They NEED you, but only to fuel their economy. They dangle opportunities while ensuring you remain an economic slave.
I tried to explain this to a few people some months back but most people seem hypnotized. The UK conservative government came and removed support for universities then they started targeting students from India,China, Nigeria , Philippines Rich countries that have students that can afford tuition fees and made it attractive by allowing you bring your family along..... and they can even use the extra revenue to provide scholarships for their own citizens.
But I stopped bothering because the majority of the people japaing are people that already have more than most of us,they can afford it. Its those who can't afford it that go to extreme lenghts to be able to Japa that I pity.... Many are stranded abroad already
Jakumo: My prediction is that Sowore will either be jailed at some point or will be shot dead like a stinky little rat in the streets of a Nigerian town.
Jakumo: Sowore is a belligerent and regally entitled man/toddler afflicted with recurrent delusions of grandeur who will surely reap the unpalatable results of his conduct as a serial mugger of policemen, in the fullness of time.
Chidollars1994: Hello nairalanders did babaginda really snatch Maryam from the legendary singer bongos ikwue that made him sing searching for true love or is just hoax
Bongos was really heartbroken when he lost her to IBB, but to her people she has been a blessed daughter
Maryam brought state capital to Asaba.... And her brother , Sony Okogwu has tried several times to govern the state...... Would have been possible if Maryam was still alive.
MadPolitician: The Yorubs since the founding of Egbe Omo Oduduwa by Awolowo, have made the destabilisation and destruction of the igbos a centerpiece of their political strategy. The January 15th coup only provided them with the excuse they desperately wanted to try ethnic cleansing on igbos. All through their support for the fulanis endless wars against the igbos, they have always sited that coup as the reason, because according to them it was an "igbo coup" perpetuated to enforce igbo domination.
Don't pretend not to know why. It was because Zik and Co made an enemy of them all because they created egbe omo O'dua So it's only natural to return the favor. We ain't scared of you
casualobserver: The truth is that this woman hasn’t represented womenfolk credibly. Too much drama! Women like her block opportunities for other women with their conduct.
Walahi
Then tomorrow women will be wondering why men aren't giving them chance, it's cos of actions like this
Jakumo: There is no question in my mind that anyone who fashions a new career filming himself clashing with policemen, will at some point live to deeply regret all that unwarranted aggression and hubris. It will be fascinating to watch as destiny unfolds for village wrestler Mr. Sowore.
Really ?
Maybe in America, where you live for the cameras
Not in Nigeria
Does the Nigerian Police have the moral right to accuse anybody of anything?
I'm not a fan of sowore , but I will react the way he did if confronted that way..... The policemen knew what they were doing, that policeman asking questions knows him.
An yes even in America ,folks confront the police like this all the time, especially those that know their rights. I've seen someone film himself disgracing FBI agents and refused them entry into his property because he knows his rights which the FBI wanted to trample on
Jagaban2012: Stop the victim crying already and stop disrespecting Dead because you are too weak to take responsibility for your actions ..
🪬🪬🪬
They wont.
And you know why? Their fathers that lost the war told them lots of lies on why they lost a war they couldn't have won anyway and their offspring took in all the lies Thats why you see all this revisionism
After denigrating all yoruba newspapers and labelling them liars till date Its still a yoruba newspaper that is your evidence of what led to awolowo death..... The same yoruba newspapers you say lie all the time? Definitely the news item should be a lie according to you Stop confusing yourself like many of your tribesmen since IBB book came out
Rebuker: A dramatic scene unfolded today at the high court in Abuja involving Omoyele Sowore and the police. In a video posted by Sowore, police officers stationed at the court gate refused to grant him access to the premises, despite his insistence that he had a case to attend. Despite his attempts to explain, the officers stood their ground.
However, Sowore—human rights activist, Nigerian politician, and owner of Sahara Reporters—immediately resisted what he described as intimidation and harassment by the Nigeria Police and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Standing his ground, he questioned whether they mistook him for Yahaya Bello. Addressing the officers directly, he insisted that neither the EFCC nor the police were officers of the court and, therefore, had no business blocking the court entrance.
After some back and forth, the police eventually backed down, and a determined Sowore was finally allowed into the court premises.
In his post on X (formerly known as Twitter), he wrote:
"The justice system in Nigeria has been hijacked by uniformed, uncouth security agents ranging from @OfficialDSSNG, @PoliceNG, and @CivilDefenceNGR. Today, they illegally blocked the court entrance, harassing everyone just because of a thief, Yahaya Bello @officialgybkogi. The same Yahaya Bello they couldn’t apprehend for months! Even lawyers were harassed—@NigBarAssoc must put an end to this nonsense."
The post quickly garnered thousands of views, likes, and reactions.
saintmm: Imagine a girl of 15yo had slept with over 60 males! What had our society turned to? Who are the handlers of this girl? Do they know the magnitude of their failure? Those mature men that sleep with such what is their definition of child? Woman?
We all have the responsibility of doing the right things rightly to make our society comfortable for us all if not, the calamity it becomes Will consume us all!!!
If na northerner marry a 15 year old , all southerners go call am child abuse
But here's a full church leader sleeping with an underage girl secretly. Why not allow these teenagers be under a man Than for them to be public toilet and the society feigns ignorance
seunmsg: Awolowo who was in prison planned a coup using 95% of Igbo soldiers to execute the coup. Somehow, he forgot to plan his own rescue from prison. And the Igbo soldiers he used to plan the coup killed everyone except Igbo military and political leaders. They then handed over power to another Igbo leader instead of Awolowo. And for six months, the new Igbo leader of Nigeria refused to release Awolowo who planned everything from prison.
Wawu, what a story. The only thing more ludicrous than this story is Nnamdi Kanu telling his fellow Obingooos that Buhari died and was replaced by a clone from Sudan. The fact that same set of cretins pushing the Awolowo coup rubbish were the same set of people that believed the Jubril from Sudan story says it all.
Ngozi123: Because they spread the lie that it was an ethnically motivated coup with a view to putting an Igbo man in power. They don't like to mention the fact that the only reason that Igbo man was in power was because the coup failed.
So the Igbos decided to "punish" him for launching "hate attack" towards them by "killing" him and his "contemporaries" while Azikiwe was "far away" in the UK and USA boasting that "he is invincible" as well as granting interviews where he "showed NO empathy" towards the "dastardly incident" that led to the death of Tafawa Balewa, Ahmad Bello, Akintola and others killed!
Gbam
The question that begs answer is why was there no coup activities in the eastern region Abi shebi IBB alluded to it in the same page they like to share as saying it was a yoruba coup. Revisionism will always show face ,it's on men and women of goodwill to always resist it
abc115: Which Ikoyi are you talking about? There is Ikoyi in all parts of Yorubaland .

Yankee101: One of the very vocal guys against Tinubu Release him abeg, it’s a bailable offense If Yahaya Bello is on bail, there’s no reason why he should be
Being vocal against Tinubu is not an excuse to steal The way they were going on about his being vocal and not say anything about the theft shows he really stole but want to hide under political persecution to escape justice.
jayce232: Tell your govt to probe those names that were mentioned. I ask a simple question, why did your govt wait this long to slam them law suit?? Immediately he started mentioning names, they quickly slam law suit to shut him up? Binance operates in almost all the countries in the world, why are the economies of those country not crashing? Your govt is chasing shadows & u are here writing nonsense. Id!ot.
All saboteurs are saboteurs Whether binance Or the thieves you mentioned
jayce232: You are sick in your head! So it is binance that has been responsible for all the corruption that is going on in the country? From unstable power supply to bad roads to misuse of public funds? Your government is trying to shut the binance guy up from exposing them further, reason for this suit. Why didn't your govt slam them with suit all these while? Why now the guy has started talking & revealing the name of those demanding for bribe?? Shameless government!
So you are this foolish not to know that los of factors come together to make things worse
So because Binance isn't responsible for corruption and bad roads we shouldn't highlight the part binance played in the whole mess? You must be very stupid and I now realize it's a waste of time replying to morons and economic saboteurs like you
