Car Talk › Can You Drive On Nigerian Roads Without Scratches? by DigitalPastor(op): 7:46am On Dec 18, 2019 |
I recently go a direct tokumbo car I'm driving that's smooth and clean. I swore that I'll be so careful on the road as not to get it scratched or bashed and I've maintained that. Count down to last Friday evening. I was driving down the street, approaching a T-Junction, I put on my pointer to the direction I'm turning to, lo and behold this nigga with a tinted 406 was doing a reverse right at the T-junction. I sighted him and stopped even though I had the right of way to move....all along I've been beeping my horn just to signal him that I'm there and I couldn't reverse because another car was following. This nigga reversed and hit me from the side. I came down , didn't know if to start a fight or shout or scream. He said he didn't see. It's a minor scratch but it hurts. Can you totally avoid such on our roads

1xstpromise: Greetings everyone, i have been following the comment in the forum. I want to start Uber or taxify or ocar in abuja. I don't have experience either on driving or the pick ups. I need a step by step guidance or probably one who can be a mentor to me on how best to start well thank you. Someone can only give you step by step guide if he's able to follow you on the trip, start and end the trip for you. So far no one can do the above, the experience come from the job. You can't know everything before starting. You can only get tips. |

MrDraey: I haven't even started the e-hailing, though I got a car mid-november for use,(HP- remittance starts January) I just drive to work and home maybe outings too but for e-hailing, nope If your HP remittance starts January, you should use this opportunity to get acquainted with the job. January is not a funny month let alone for learners. Bolt will accept you with any paper from VIO. |

Ocar is the next big thing in town. I signed up and in my first day of working with the App, I completed 12trips worth 11k. The battle line between Uber/Bolt/ Ocar has been drawn. I'm not a forerunner of any of the Apps but as a businessman, I'll always go with maximum profit with security and Opay seems to be providing that because you'll be able to see rider's destination. Each rider is verified because their bank details are linked to the Opay App. |

Lawrence3636: without a car on UBER ? How is dat done.... pls tell us d steps I mean, you will be active just waiting for a car. Once you get a car, you can go online without going back to Uber office. But on bolt, your registration starts when you have a car and it's instant. |

Enano2baba: Good evening house. I just finished the online registration on bolt. What's the next step please? If you have a valid driving license, I will advise you to register also on UBER. You will be activated without a car on uber, but bolt will not activate your account until you get a car. |

For those dropping number to be added to a group, it's important you note these few things.
There's no group that automatically give cars. It's still drivers that make up the group. It's only occasionally ( sometimes twice or thrice in a week) that the drivers get link to a car and they post it on the group. For you to join the group you have to send a screenshot of your UBER profile to prove that you're a driver. To get a car on the group you have to be online daily and monitor the group and chats. Whatsapp is full so they switched to telegram...with these said, stop dropping your numbers here plz. You can pm me to be added. Thanks. |

Benteazaa: That's some serious issue. I saw a lot of impounded cars yesterday. What's going on Your type of car is free from harassment sha, Corolla is the main target. But they have started requesting on the App. Once you get to the location, you get arrested. So one have to be extra careful on the street. According to report, they don't disturb Bolt, only Uber. |

Benteazaa: Abet help me ask Na bros Or I fit come the queue with you guys You no fit join Uber queue if you're not registered on Uber. Your best bet is to process your driver's license fast and join Uber/bolt. You don't want to go the route of registering Airport Taxi because that place is choked couple with the exorbitant price they charge to register...up to 70k. |

MrDraey: Thank you bro.
Well there's an offer on ground for HP which i am considering, owner wants monthly remittance of N100k.
I presently earn less than 70k where i work and its one of these financial institutions.
I am considering taking the offer but still a little bit indifferent. You can meet up with 100k in a week. But it means Uber/Bolt is what you do daily. You schedule a daily target and commit to it. You will even have extra ontop but it's not going to be that easy at the beginning, eventually you'll get used to it. Also, how much is the H.P and the duration. You need to evaluate all these before quitting your job wey people dey find sef. |

MrDraey: someone to my rescue plzzzz The truth is that making 25k from Friday to Sunday is not feasible but it's possible. You can make it this week but next week you won't even see 15k for the 3days. The ehailing business is saturated and at a declining stage. |

I just know something is not right here. The people that earn money online don't have time to be adding you to a whatsapp without anything in return, the least they can do is tell you the gist and move on. Creating whatsapp and adding people....hmmm |
