I don't see Tinubu being finished politically in this period of PMB's leadership of APC. The main issue is that PMB doesn't give jobs to boys that much and Tinubu is notorious for being that man that does that in quantum. This shows that Atiku(through Timi Frank) has teamed up with Tinubu and abandoned Saraki (through Bolaji Abdullahi) to fight Oyegun. In other words, Saraki has teamed up with the Presidency, temporary (cos his interest will keep rotating till he clinches the Presidency) to fight Tinubu and bury his already battered influence in politics.

This means that we have an alliance that will start the mother of all fights. I can't see Saraki and El Rufai in the same camp. They are both the same and want same thing. Both are full of mischief, machavellian, backstabbing, blackmailing and have nomadic loyalty based on what interest they are serving at a particular time. They both want the Presidency more than Awolowo did and are ready to give their lives for it.

For now, there might be unity of purpose in all the camps, but it won't last for long. Tinubu will betray Atiku, who is also scheming to betray Tinubu when he has gotten the Presidency. Buhari, El Rufai and Oyegun will betray Saraki after they have used him to achieve their aim in the NASS, by passing all their requests and confirming nominations.

Amaechi, Fashola, Fayemi, Ekweremadu, Dogara and other Governors are going to be the foot soldiers in this battle. They will determine who will emerge tops in this battle. The yoke on their neck won't really allow them stray too far from Buhari. They all know how corrupt they are and Buhari is the only man that can put them away or guarantee their freedom to continue looting.

In the end, Nigerians will be the losers and we shall continue waiting for 2023 for another play on our integrity.

My advice to Mimiko is to continue campaigning for the PDP in the forthcoming elections (even as Jimoh Ibrahim holds on to the ticket). The Courts will eventually declare Jegede the rightful candidate of the party and it might be too late for them to start campaigns all over again. This is what Sheriff and his sponsors want to achieve and it seems Mimiko and the PDP are playing into their hands.


No matter what we say about America's just concluded Presidential election, Hillary lost to James Comey, the FBI director, who gave her a respite when it was too late in the elections. I can tell you that some of the people who voted Trump, and actually gave him the needed votes to win, weren't expecting him to win. They just wanted to cut Hillary 's margin with their protest vote, only to see that they have elected Trump President in the process.

In Ondo, Olusola Oke might be the beneficiary and reap where he did not sow. Aketi does not have the political clout to win an election in the entire Ondo state. He is only popular in Owo. That's why his Abuja connect are intent on 'paving' the way for a smooth victory for him. Jegede shouldn't lose to Jimoh Ibrahim, who isn't part of the election in the first place. Just as Hillary lost to James Comey, who wasn't part of the election.

Jegede better go and do the mother of all rallies immediately, if he doesn't want to play into the hands of the APC and sheriff, whose sole intent was to distract him.
