Has anyone that submitted passport in last couple weeks at Lagos been able to track it. The tracking id provided keeps saying “no records found”. I just want to know if this is typical or there is a reason to be alarmed. Passport was submitted on June 9.

Yes, submitted by passport last month I am able to track on the VFS website, however status has not changed.

Hi guys, pls which visa office currently has a very fast processing time? Should one send to vfs Kenya or use the normal Lagos vfs for onward transmission to Accra?

I used the lagos office, must it kinda slow o, our passport has been in transit since the 19th of May.

The last update i got was last week Wednesday.

Guys, how long does it take to get your passport stamped and returned. We submitted our passport on the 19th May, and our passport is still in transit to IRCCC ghana. To the senior colleagues in the house, how long has it taken your passport to be sent to Ghana and returned back to you. I was thinking everything should be less than a month.

Can those who sent there passport to Ghana confirm how long it took?

No one can say really. In my case, I got biometric request for my husband two weeks after AOR. It all boils down to the efficiency of the officer in charge of your file. Try not to think of it too much although I know it’s easier said than done. You can get biometrics on time and then radio silence for months and you can get biometric in what seems like a long time and then everything becomes sharp sharp from thereafter. No one can accurately predict. Give it another 3 weeks before overthinking it. You can also look for WhatsApp group of people who submitted in March so that you can be comforted that your timeline is totally within range.

How long does it take for the status of my application to change, mine has the status submitted for 2 weeks now. No update of any kind received. Just begining to worry that atleast the status should change from submitted to something else

Am suspecting this draws not happening is a strategy to ensure the score remain high, cos new people with a high score will enter the bucket and some people with high scores will drop points due to their birthday

I have was able to do it using an app, sent the money to a trusted bro in canada who then used his card to pay for me.

Although the app uses black market rate, but its pretty fast

I no one hear stories that touch

For me my dollar card kept rejecting oh ... I had to download an app and sent cad to my friend in Canada at 560 that’s the rate ... I was scared at first but tried it and it worked .... their fee is 1 dollar for any amount under 1k dollars ...

With the forex challenges and naira card not working, how have people been able to make payment for the Applications. I have a bill a almost 2k cad to pay. For those in the house, how did you make payment. Any tip will help.

My bank reference letter (POF) was also from Stanbic Asset Mgt. I didn’t put statement with my own but it doesn’t hurt to include it. In my case, what I did was to include an LOE showing a table of sources of funds with supporting attachments.

So my point is go ahead and use Stanbic AM but include an LOE stating that the financial institution doesn’t show average balance on their reference letter and so you’ve attached your statement of deposit as an addendum to aid the officer’s assessment.

Thanks for your feedback, what I mean by statement is the statement of deposit and liqudiation from stanbic money market, I have been using them since 2015, was thinking attaching it could be bulky. You know you can print the transaction statement from stanbic.

Guys quick question will a letter of reference from my stanbic asset mgt be enough as proof of funds or I also need to attach the statement of deposit and liquidation.

Your family of four will require minimum of $20,000CAD for every year of your wife's study, you need to show receipt for the first year/semester of her study with proof that you have the money for the next year/semester's tuition or show how you intend to meet the obligation. Make sure the funds you have are accessible, so it is sometimes better to liquidate the funds into savings account. 10million is not likely to be enough.
I have seen few exceptions, but from most of the testimonies here for family application, your Proof of fund should be at least N25million.

My little advice... Don’t get informstion only from agencies in Nigeria/Canada that want you to pay them for advice and help making your application to immigrate.

Talk to others (Siblings) who have moved to Canada. Ask them about their experiences...
Make sure you have a calm call with your siblings and let them be honest with you about the settling, and living in Canada...

I based in the States and work in IT and I can tell you.. i will advice anyone with IT skills to move abroad.. but it comes with lot of merits and demerits..

You need to ask yourself why you need to move?
More money or because others are moving...

Have a discussion with this people and make your decision..

Remember you may hav to start allover when you arrive...

Generally you both have really good income to hav a very lovely standard of living... think about ur options and pls pray about it before u start

I speak to my younger bro all the time and I know how things are, my brother isnt doing badly over, as a matter of fact he is also part of what is making me considering moving. He takes home 150k usd per annum which when I look at things is not bad. But I know it wasnt easy for him at first. Before he landed his current job which is in Engineering, he did alot of not so nice jobs (menial jobs), at some point I even used to counsel him to take professional courses and certifications. At a point as he no see work for engineering field he was considering going back to school to do medicine or IT, God Almighty gave him breakthrough. Now he is a citizen. But I know things were kinda of challenging when he first finished his masters.

One will continue to pray and seek God's direction.

God is faithful I am currently 34years working in as an IT professional in a FCMG organization, currently earn 1.1m monthly this is excluding the perks, my wife who is currently 28 years also earns about 700k monthly. We both have siblings in Canada and both have UK masters degree. I know if my wife applies for PR and does well in IETLS we have a high chance of being invited. We have started the WES process and will soon sit for IELTS.
I never use to believe in the whole Japa thing, infact I get irritated when I see people traveling out, until this year when dollar became over 800 to a Naira, also my colleague at work was recently kidnapped and killed recently. Coupled with the epileptic power supply and frustration naija gives you in so many way(traffic in lagos, passport processing fustration etc). The whole thing is kinda of tiring.

I know every land has its own challenges, like the cold, racism, Job hunting and the starting again whahala, but to be candor is it worth it.

My younger brother is telling me to come over that there are more chances in Canada.

What do you guys think, is Canada really worth it?
