does CBN employ people with sociology degrees? and as what? |
As a sociology major, what are the probabilities of me getting a job that pays up to N350k per mnth? do oil companies and private firms besides banks recruit sociologists? and as what? or what would you personally recommend? |
I'm strongly trying pave my way towards working in the oil and gas sector. i will soon be done with my bachelors in sociology and i intend to go in for a masters program as soon as i am done with my current degree. however, i am still confused on what to pick for a masters degree. i was thinking abt doing my masters in oil and gas management. i was also wondering, what other masters degrees are they most likely to consider and would put me at a higher chance of being accepted by companies like shell, mobil, chevron etc? and for a masters degree holder in such companies, what's the salary like? |

I was searching on the net yesterday for schools of nursing in Ghana but i cudnt find any. Does anyone know about any good ones in Ghana? I am talking abt the regular 3 yr, HND giving school of nursing. Not the BSC school of nursing affiliated with universities. I also don't know what the Ghanaian curriculum is like, is it the same system with Nigeria? A nurse who finishes in Ghana and wants to come and practise in Nigeria, does she have to write the Nigerian nursing/midwifery exam to get a liscence to practise in Nigeria. Please i need someone who is a bit enlightened in this to brief me. |
which would you choose? the 3 million naira job has been your dream profession but then you get a 12 million naira job offer that is totally different fromm the type of job that interests you. would you pick the higher paying job for the money and leave the job that has been your dream profession? |
i'm loving what i'm seeing. some good pay. does CBN hire nurses for their clinics? that is, if they have one |
15 k is nothing! i would reject it too, so in 3 mnths, thats just N45,000 |
good for you! i would reject it to if it was offered to me, 15k is nothing, in a week, how much recharge card do i even use? and then u talk abt paying rents, transporting and feeding your self and other regular/basic things that need to be financed. hell no! even the handbag that i carry is more than 15k |
i dnt think its late in your 40's.i just think it gets harder to get a job because a lot of places look to recruit younger people more than the older peeps. i feel you, atimes jobs become boring and you just wanna change. this is why i'm quite proud to be associating my self with 2 degrees in the sciences and social sciences respectively . in the case in which i am tired of working as a nurse, i can decide to do something else in a firm with my sociology degree ![]() |
i'm sorry to ask this silly question as you would call it but what degree is HND? ![]() |
@Dextra will email you i a bit! i need more info on SON abuja |
thanks a lot for all your posts! a lot of you already answered my questions. i am almost done with my 1st degree here in the USA and i have intentions of coming back home to get a 2nd degree in nursing. pls dnt ask me why i can't do it here in the US, i already have my pre-nursing courses and have applied to several schools already but it seems to be that the waiting list to get in is either too long or their requirements are rather too high, as we all know nursing here in the US is very competitive and hard to get in, why? , because everybody wants to do nursing here and they only need a certain amt of people to get in each semester/year. so instead of waiting and losing years, i will come back home and do it, my best bet now. and then it will be up to me to decide on where i want to practice it. I'm thinking about doing/starting with school of nursing and after that i'm gonna hustle to work in a FG hospital or a private firm such as shell. maybe get to masters level and specialize eventually. also i was wondering, any special school of nursing recommendations? i heard SON Abuja and Enugu are very good. |
please i would like to know what the average and highest pay is for a Nigerian nurse who has finished with nursing school. also,do oil companies recruit nurses? |

I was wondering, what is an average nigerian man's taste when it comes to choosing a woman. does he like her petite or big? slim or fat/chubby/thick? what are their expectations of her? and why is it that most men are scared of commitment? |
why not, makes things een easier, u dnt have to go tru change of name process and all dat |
is it true? i doubt it oo ![]() |
