Iamabraham: Good morning, folks. It's been a while here and I must confess that TS has been more inteeeeensive since the turn of the year. Saturday lectures, Sunday exams, presentations and all the likes. Sincerely, it has been hectic. There were even times I forgot that I have a phone, talk less of visiting social media.
That you don't see us here doesn't mean we don't care about those awaiting AC invite. We are in the final weeks of our training and we have to 'finish strong'. I don't have any lead on when the AC will be but you'll be invited as promised.
Before then, stay productive and relevant. AC will come and go; enjoy every moment -before, during and after.
It will end in praise.
Greetings from all NLers here in TS. God bless you n success in ur exams |

mayoor15: 2013 thread remains the best FBN thread ever, this one is just full of hypocrites, anyways, what's my own, AC is just about how smart and adaptable you are to various situations not how much information you gathered before the AC. Imagine an interviewer asking you 5 questions at the same time and expect you to answer all, you are going for about 7 tests in about 4 hours with little or no time to think through anything cos time is going, even FBN isn't looking for only the best in all aspect but someone that will be above average in all aspect and note the FBN people don't like to much talk, so if you are going there to talk and talk and talk because you can talk, you are on your own. We should all stop these accusations and counter accusations and focus our energy on better things, no one is under obligation to talk and besides if you made it this far without any help, what makes you think you can't scale through the AC. You are right bro. Haven't done mine yet. Most times the interviewers don't even look for what u think they are looking for. There are silent points, certain soft skills they look out for. It's more like a mix of everything contained in the assessment. U have to be well rounded not entirely lacking in a particular area. |

prettysassygirl: You all are still getting me wrong,am not against helping,or giving advice,am not against it at all, after all the basics the first set of people gave me helped me a lot,am just of the opinion that the information given is okay already and would help even the weak candidates among us,but its just an opinion,my opinion and I don't see anything wrong with that so I am not accepting that I am wrong cos I aren't and would make the statement all over again, some people just read few Lines, didn't even try to comprehend it then rushed to judge, some of them even said I misled others because of the example I gave,I believe in team work because without team work nothing works,if anyone doesn't like my opinion, they should just jump and pass,am not imposing it on anyone, its just an opinion, they should stop forming good people for me,am not a callous person,I just said something and they are hyping it. The point most pple are trying to make about wat u sed is the fact that u had to lie about having done or not done the assessment. you stated d truth after another candidate piped low n you noticed he wasn't hitting you directly. Let ur yes be yes next time, that's all that's bin said. I somewhat agree with you that there's too much info now but it doesn't matter. Excellent pple will always excel. So have no fear. |

Pls lets get on track with more info. Pls Lagos peeps in the house, do well to mention a good hotel close to the venue. For those that will tell me to check on google, I have done that already. Just kindly advise if you can.

cloud9usher: Why is it that in Nigeria we make it so much of an issue just to state salary?
This is a faceless forum and no one knows you so why do people still find it hard to state exact salary which would help others in making decisions?
I still find it hard why we Nigerians act this crude and conservative even when there is no need to be, the way Nigerians hide salaries even on faceless forums you'd think there is something more special to it. If its a face to face thing I'd understand because some people don't want you to know their financial status - be it small or big, and hence get very protective over it, that still is not worth it to me though.
Ay4sho, you have been helpful but please stop using this condescending and crude demeanour Nigerians and Nigerian employers are used to of saying salary can be known after you are employed already, we need to stop this. What type of country is this? Something as professional as salary is made to look like a behind doors secret sexual activity that only a selected few should know.
In saner countries, salaries are even stated on the job advert. I don't blame Nigerians though, it because of the high unemployment that make them treat people this way, and its because of it that many job seekers under value themselves as well.
Whenever you ask a Nigerian about the salary of a firm, they would either lie, or give one excuse of why its supposedly not defined, you'd start hearing complex explanations of how its this and that, is it that hard to state that- "As for mine, I was paid N180,000 as an entry level staff after training school", is that so hard to state?
Mind you, those who wanna get an exact picture of salaries of a specific organisation are not "greedy" and wanting to talk more about money first before the job but some of them want to compare salary structure to enable them compare other job offers to decide which to go for.
I sign off here, those that want to continue mystifying you guys can carry on, but as for me I will never, even where I work at the moment I state it. Thanks for the info bros. I'm personally grateful. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: 2016 Firstbank Graduate Trainee Programme by Divami: 8:57am On Jun 14, 2017 |
Thank you bros ay4sho: First of all, congrats to all who got the invite to the AC, don't rejoice yet cos this is d toughest stage of the selection process (Don't mean to scare you). The best out of d best would be selected So you need to bring your A-game, you may not have a second chance.
Listen carefully and follow the info below. It may just help you.
There are 5 Stages.
1. Ability/Scenario test. 2. Group Task 3. Computer Test 4. Presentation 5. Interview.
After accreditation, U will have an ability test where u'll have to think thru the scenario and choose answers from the options provided.
Group Task. You will be divided into groups and then u'll be given a scenario to discuss with ur group. Don't argue or shout any1 down, nor interrupt, make sure U give points and make reasonable sense, don't repeat ur suggestions or findings. Smile while responding and remember you are not competing against d members of your group rather against everyone there. So don't try to be the starlight in your group. Just make your group shine.
For Computer Task. You would be given btw 15-20 mins to read the case and prepare your power point slides. You shouldn't have more than 6-10slides, if you don't know how to prepare PP slides... Start learning now. Don't write stories, just give bullet points then explain thats why its called a powerpoint presentation.
For Presentation. Here you would be presenting the PP you created yourself. Remember to intoduce urself and what u are presenting. Be confident and bold, smile and focused, dont stutter or sound unsure, be sure of whatever point u make, even when they counter U and say u r wrong, insist and try to give a better explanation for that point. Also thank d panel @ d end of ur presentation. Presentation is 5mins so go straight to d point and don't give unnecessary explanations. Time management is key.
Interview. I call it the "How" interview, cos you would be answering the question "How?" a lot. Question on strenght. weakness, leadership skills, use of initiative, creativity and innovation, process improvement, team spirit and many more. Dont forget the question is How... So you would have to explain how you have exhibited this traits. If u fit lie, lie ooo, nobody go ask U if na true or na lie, but it must be full proof, cos a follow up question may arise. what is ur passion, why firstbank, why do u think we shld hire U, then know stuffs about FBN generally and read different interview questions.
And most of all commit all to God and ask 4 favour.
Please note. Workforce handled the last two AC and HCP is handling this one, some things may change but the idea is still d same and knowing FBN, the process would definitely be same but may add a little twist. Just prepare for the worse and expect the best.
Be prepared mentally, physically and spiritually.
Wish u all success and the best. Cheers.
This is from someone who was at the last AC in 2013 and made it to training sch and FBN.
Regards. Ay4sho
I may still be around to answer some questions or pop in once in a while. This is my way of giving back, cos I benefited from info given by a good Samaritan here on NL also.
Believe me FBN training school is the best in d country, you don't want to miss out. Story for another day. |
