Good morning house. I have a question as regards POF. My spouse is planning on coming after I settle in about a month or 2. Since the POF is for both our maintenance, would she be required to show it at POE?

Your statement of account is one of the most important document you need to upload for visa application.

Usually there are two means to uploading your documents after filling the visa application form; self upload and assisted service

If you opt for self upload they you will have to scan and upload your POF alongside other documents you're using to support your application by yourself.

If assisted service then you will have to carry all your documents (POF inclusive) along with you to TLS on the date of your biometric and they will scan and upload it themselves. (N:B this service costs 11,700)

do I need to upload my state of account and to your second statement, does it mean I would need a fresh SOA if my biometrics date is more that 31 days after my application? I apologise for asking so much but I don't want to make silly mistakes. Thanks once again.

You don't need another POF to go for biometric.
As long as the date you plan do your visa application/payment for IHS is within 31days from the last date on your POF then you're good.

However, in my opinion you might want to upload an updated statement if your biometric date is more than 31days from the last date on your POF (this is as a safety measure).

Welldone madam for taking your time to answer our questions. Please I am still confused about this POF matter. For me, my POF matures on the 18th of August and I plan to apply on that day. My question is during application, am I to print the 28 days POF and upload it during the online application process on that day? Secondly, since I don't know what date I might be getting for biometrics, is it the same POF from July 18th to August 18th I would be printing out for biometrics. Thank you for your patience.

Divinebarz, please contact your school to find out when the latest date to arrive is. If resumption is September 26, you may still have a three-week grace to resume which gives you roughly two months to apply and for your visa.

Find out. And if the date favours you, please be proactive (by sticking to TLS website to secure an early date for your biometrics). It's very doable and I wish you luck.

No I haven't done biometrics yet. I intend applying by Aug 18th when POF matures.

It's quite a tight turnaround time since resumption date is close. You can try your luck and hope your collection mail drops within the 3 week timeline. Also confirm what date is the cutoff for resumption so you have all facts before making a decision.

On the study gap, it's advisable to provide all docs that'll aid the ECO in processing your application without an NSF.
Most applicants with study gap of 5 years plus are asked to provide evidence of what they were doing in that period.

After applying, you would most likely get a biometrics date that is 3 or 4 weeks from your application date.
Visa processing takes 3-6 weeks from biometrics date.

Good morning bro. Please what do you advice someone who has a full scholarship from the University to upload. I am aware that proof of funds for living expenses is essential. During the pre departure briefing, the staff from the University advised we should only attach what was included in the CAS. From your post, you advised that payslip should be included especially if one has had a 5 year study gap. For me my study year is like 10 years. I would like to hear from you. Thanks bro.

It's a good idea to include payslip when your study gap is more than 5 years. It's a part of proof of employment. You can however submit your application without it. If you have reference letter, employment letter and salary review for example. Some of these extra documents we submit to avoid the delays that come with NSF back and forth. No one is ECO here. We all just sharing our experience.
