However, approval has become increasingly challenging due to the current circumstances in Canada, where many individuals including 700% raise in nigerians that are claiming asylum on a Visitor visa. 2. I used a representative, but can I send an email directly to them asking why they have not reached out to me on biometric

3. Can I convert my visit visa to study permit (Four years course) then bring in my family in the course of my study?

Also, be cautious and do not hastily trust anyone who offers advice on converting a visitor visa to a work permit or suggests the asylum route. I wish you all the best. I have sponsor family members to come and visit me as a canadian citizen living in canada but if brother is in nigeria, sponsoring a tourist visa that is for pleasure unlike student visa that is for educational advacement does not look good idea to me

The IRCC will consider the length of validity of both your passport and biometric, and then give preference to the one with the shortest validity.

Good Evening D.O, I am not an expert but can answer a few of your questions 😄😄😄

1. 2.1M as your total POF is way too small! How much is flight ticket to canada? They expect you to be able to fund your trip even if you have a capable sponsor and still have substantial savings in your account after the trip.
2.travel history is only an added advantage to your application, the success of your application will not be judged by your travel history.
3 Please, Biko, Da Allah! Include ALL previous refusals in your new application o. USA and Canada share travellers database.
4. Enter canada first before thinking of your family 😄
5. Your chances are based on your ability to convince the VO that you worth the visa, your documents must be well prepared. And lastly, you need some luck.

It will simply Carry the validity of your biometrics. That is, if you get a new 10 years Passport, ur visa will carry the validity of your biometrics, since it will obviously be less than 10 years. They simply pick the lowest validity btw the passport and biometrics at any point in time.
The visa gurus in d house knows better and can confirm this.

Please, when having a stop over to any European country, don't let your stop be more than 1. If you are having more than 1 stop in any European country, then you may require a transit visa, except if this rule has changed

For instance, if you are taking air France, sometimes, they have 2 stops...Paris and Schipol(Amsterdam). For you to be eligible to fly on this ticket, you must have a transit visa because it has more than 1 European country stop over.

Stick to the airlines listed for you earlier but ensure your stop in ANY EUROPEAN COUNTRIES ISN'T MORE THAN ONE.

Try to avoid Ethiopian airline because I've heard series of cases where passengers (especially Nigerians) trying to board en route to Canada from Adisababa had issues because they were on visist visa. My friends and families have used Air France, Qatar, KLM and Lufthansa airlines perfectly well on visit visa without issues.

Again, just stick to one "stop over" flight if you are using any European airline (KLM, Air France and Lufthansa)

If you are using Qatar, avoid putting any liquid in your hand luggage, even to toothpaste because they might trash it in Doha before boarding to any of your destination. Put whatever liquid you have (no matter how small like your smallest finger) in your bigger bags(23kg luggage). Don't bring it on board with you.
