@USMissiontoNigeria, my husband is on F1 visa in the USA.. but I am still in Nigeria, his DSO in school issued F2 i20 for me in january which encompasses his graduate assistantship funding for spring semester
I plan going for F2 interview this july.. which is summer semester and there is no activity going on in summer and he doesn't have assistantship in summer too, do we have to request for a new i20 from his DSO or the one issued in january is okay?

Good morning everyone. I have a question please. Early this year, I was denied an F2 visa to be with my husband who is a Masters student. I am planning to reapply for a B2 visit visa in July to visit him but I don't know if this is a wrong step, I mean changing the type of visa from F2 to B2. Thank you for your response.

Also, the reason why I want to reapply for B2 and not F2 is because he will be graduating this December. I was worried about the time remaining. Do you think it doesn't matter? Thank you
