I had a couple of girls come around to cook for me and my friends back then in school and I can tell you authouritatively ,it is a big deal for the ladies. first , no girl would agree to cook for a guy if she thinks she is not a good cook cos everyone knows the shortcut to a man's heart is the stomach secondly, most girls would not admit this but they hate cooking. if u don't believe just pay a visit to their house or ask any of their siblings . so the must have strong feelings for a guy before they can agree to come over to cook for you

Every other tribe in Nigeria have this crazy misconception about ibo people. They always accuse ibos of love for money as if they themselves hate money. I have dated lots of ibo girls , both during my school days and now and I can tell u that most of them are not materialistic at all .As a matter of fact, they spend on you if they like you and are ready to wait for you as long as you show signs of marriage.

OP, your friend's advice is very wise. Ignore those saying otherwise. They are either kids or defensive. The men amondst will learn by experience. MOST ladies above 30 are wild, over-exposed, pretentious and hard to please. They know all the hotel owners and corner joints. They have been around. You really need money and more money to please them. Avoid especially those from dysfunctional homes, family or sibling responsibilities. A word is enough.
