Still no 31st?? We are indeed rare breeds... |
Having the Nigerian green passport alone does not make you a Nigerian, there are other things that add up to it. We Nigerian have very peculiar stuffs in common irrespective of our diverse culture and differences in religion. Here are 15 things that shows you’re a typical Nigerian: 1.You Shout Up NEPA: Power is still a big problem in Nigeria,if you've lived or still living in Nigeria you know what I am talking about. So you get excited and scream Up Nepa when the electricity comes on? My friend you’re a Nigerian. 2.You wear Special Outfit for Sundays or Fridays. We Nigerians are very Religious people and very few of us are Godly, sad truth. We don’t joke with our Religious activities. Most Nigerians reserve the best of the best clothes for Sundays (for the Christians) and Fridays(for the Muslims). In fact offering time in churches are like fashion shows with everyone trying to cat walk and show off their beautiful dresses. 3.You don’t ask people their age and you don’t like to tell people your age. Except it’s something official we don’t like to tell or ask people their age. We Nigerians see asking someone’s age, especially if the person is older than you very disrespectful. 4.You’re boisterous and always Speak loud in Public. Nigerians are very noisy and energetic people,it’s not difficult to identify a Nigerian when you find yourself at International airports .We speak loud with confidence ,you hear phrases like “Do you know who I am?” “My friend I will get you locked up!” 5.You call people you are not familiar with names like: Chairman,Oga,Uncle,Aunty,Bros,Sister etc. 6.You have two Phones to yourself alone. Most Nigerians living in Nigeria own two phones, not just to show off but because of the unstable power and mobile network services, you can’t just rely on one network or phone. If mtn doesn't have network you quickly pick up your etisalat sim card. It's mostly a smartphone and a Nokia phone. 7.You’re materialistic and like to flaunt your wealth at the slightest opportunity given. The Rich Nigerians are really really rich. We buy things we don’t need just solely to fit in with everyone else. Your Facebook updates are things like “lekkibeach chilling”,”Dubai things”,”Money on mind”then just know you’re a Typical Nigerian etc 8.You’re always extremely security conscious and watchful. A Typical Nigerian person is always watching for safety. He doesn't trust anyone around him, everyone is a suspect. He doesn't keep his phone carelessly ‘cos he knows someone is waiting for such opportunity to steal it. I once traveled somewhere abroad, and the guy who came for me at the airport was telling me how unsafe the place was and why I should keep my belongings safe, I just looked at him and smiled, wish he knew how security conscious we Nigerians are by default. 9.You have relatives that you can’t even explain in simple terms how they are related to you. I hear things like, Hmm Mayo here is my relative Kemi, she is my Fathers brother’s wife cousin’s friend’s Husband. I am like WTH!! 10.You always like to cook Jollof Rice when you have Big Occasions. Party rice ![]() 11.You use very often phrases like: Eh wo, Ehen, Chineke, Che, Ah-Ah, Yepa! God forbid, by God’s Grace, Nawa o!Wetin sef!No worry, Go joor! etc 12.You know what chin chin, puff puff, or moin moin are. 13. You've never or rarely visit the dentist because you don’t see any reason for that and consider it waste of money. Nigerians only visit a dentist office when there is no other remedy. Visiting a dentist for normal check-up is not an everyday thing in Nigeria. 14.You like to add “O” to a lot of your talk. e.g Na wa o,Leave me o,O boy!,Na Now o! 15.You read all the above 14 signs and smiled in between Please add urs ![]() www.tlkdrum.com/15-signs-youre-a-typical-nigerian/ |

otimize: na 2day yansh dey back or abi u be learner? I have known all along that boko haram is a scam. Dis yeye government wen dey my beloved country. It's visible to the blind and audible to the deaf...the tip of the iceberg will be when the chibok girls are found... It's amazing how far people can go just to attain power.. Politics is indeed a dirty game! God will judge them all accordingly |
Mods do the needful |
To me and majority of the Nigerian masses... We don't know if this was a scam all along but if it was... Then using the lives of innocent Nigerians to scam just because of the hunger for power is inhuman to say the least. But one thing I know is the truth will eventually be known be it now or in the future... |
sholatech: Politricks...Before now, he was called a weakling and clueless president with no solution to curb Boko Haram. Now Boko Haram is been defeated and we have a new political theorem that Boko Haram was a scam..Isn't it too much of a coincedence?? |
Found this piece interesting and I decided to share... Enjoy!! Rather than leap for joy at the declaration that Abubakar Shekau, leader of the dreaded Islamist sect, Boko Haram is dead, Nigerians are flabbergasted and taken aback by how suddenly the military and other security operatives seems to be getting everything right. Like a scene from the '24' series, the good guys are closing-in on the bad guys and the world is saved from a global disaster but only that the Boko Haram saga was a plot all along. It looks like a script that was written to help President Goodluck Jonathan get reelection into office. You ask why? Boko Haram insurgents are the only terrorists in the world that would surrender on a daily basis to a once-weakened, ill-equipped, poorly funded military when the country is only months away from election. Globally terrorists groups like al-Qaeda, Shebab or Islamic State do not sheath their sword because election is around the corner neither do they surrender on a daily basis. Don’t get me wrong, we all want terrorism to cease in Nigeria but the writing on the wall shows that we probably had an artificial terrorist group in place and reports linking friends of the president to the funding of Boko Haram confirms this. They sacrificed thousands of our fathers, mothers , brothers, sisters for what? Re-election? Sure looks like it. If that is not true, why is Modu Sheriff eating, drinking and charting the future of Nigeria in Chad with President Jonathan? The former Borno state governor’s affiliation and association with the dreaded terrorists is quite pronounced and very glaring, yet the government sees no reason why he should be prosecuted. Azubuike Ihejerika’s role as the conduit pipe for siphoning funds and arms to the sect has also been reported. Australian negotiator, Stephen Davis, is the latest person to link the former army chief to terrorist funding. However, the spokesperson of the DSS, Marilyn Ogar says it would be ‘wicked’ of anyone to link him to terrorism. What kind of government is this? Jonathan cannot deny his own role in the activities of Boko Haram because his friends, with whom he shares a common interest, fund them. That aside, over three months ago, shortly after the Chibok Girls were abducted Jonathan had a meeting with Nigerian editors and when asked about the girls, he dismissed the question with no remorse on his face. He said they would be found in words but his actions clearly said otherwise. Now, our military. How do we explain the new-found vigour and intelligence of our military, if it is not one on a script because this is the same military that has loaded Nigerians with so much lies ? You will recall, when the Chibok Girls were kidnapped, our military came out the next day to brazenly lie that they have been recovered. That was one of the hundred of lies. Then, they lied that Boko Haram did not take over Gwoza; same was said of Bama and same was said of Damboa and the 25 other towns /villages they controlled. Our military also said the sect had not hoisted its flag but that again turned out to be a lie. Another lie they sold was that our soldiers never ran to Cameroun but that lie was quelled by the Camerounian military, then our lying military then said it was a ‘tactical retreat’ .Another lie was that the military had the requisite arms and ammunitions used to fight the insurgents only for our soldiers and their wives to revolt in Maiduguri. Miraculously, the release of the Chibok Girls will happen within days and the president will move to the next scene of his reelection bid. The next scene on the script is that, President Goodluck Jonathan will come out as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s (Endorsed) candidate who was cajoled to contest and feed us more lies. He will come out in a colourful and luring ceremony organised by TAN and sponsored by the missing $20 billion to declare that he has defeated the terrorist sect, Boko Haram. We expect him to claim that he will do more if given four more years but we know it was his plan all along. The jigsaw is falling into place but this time the icing on the cake will melt because they have goofed . Their attempt to con Nigerians into getting them re- elected in 2015 has hit the rocks. We cannot all be fools at the same time, can we? By Chinedu Okolie Source: www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2014/09/27/boko-haram-was-jonathans-re-election-plan-all-along/ |
