I have not seen a reissued passport (whether the previous was lost or expired) that doesn't contain the previous passport number. This might be questionable, not just by the embassy but anywhere else in the future. My advice is that you find another contact in another NIS branch to do it for you. Please anyone here with a contact in NIS should help him out.

No that not true.. I renewed my passport in Osogbo and it did not show my old passport number... And i used it for my interview... Its only lagos... Abuja and portharcourt immigration office that issues intergrated passport..which shows ur old PS number and the new PS number on a new passport, All other office outside dis 3 will give u a new passport with a new number and it wont show the old number. To confirm this tweet @nigimmigration u will get a response and as for the person with this issue u can even inform them ,i can assure u ,ur issue will b sorted out speedily..

Admission: May 28, 2019
School: Trier University of Applied Sciences Umwelt-campus Birkenfeld.
Course: Sustainable Business and Technology (Bachelors degree; Got 4 AL in the bag but this course is number one on my list).
Booked for Date that same day and Got August 8, 2019. The date seems far to me so I had to cancel and re-booked on June 16, 2019 with August 23 as Enrollment date. My AD then arrived on June 19, 2019 and interview was scheduled for July 1,2019.
Interview Date: July 1, 2019
AM: July 29, 2019(28 days)

I want to say thank you to everyone here on Nairaland. I have really learnt a lot from you guys and I have equally made some good friends here. What a beautiful forum!! Thank you very much to everyone once again.

Done with my interview. Got there by 6am had an issue with a photocopy of my certificate. I did it inside the street or the embassy. I did 2 copies for 200naira, if I had gone outside then it would be about 2k I guess.

Paulinus let me back in. By 8:30

1) what’s my bachelors?
2) why isn’t it related to masters? Had to explain.
3) what I know about Germany? Points only
4)plans after studies
5) any German knowledge?
6 political system in Germany?
7) equivalent of Bundestag in Nigerian politics?


A lady was turned back today, she’s going for m bachelors and booked under A. Told her to book for B. ( not sure her class of degree)

Pls i have a b sc(2.2) already and am going for a master,and i have being admitted,i have even blocked self, i have gotten a interview date under catergory A already

But what of someone with admission letter alrdy and no scholarship.. It impossible to submit for A without checking d scholarship box. So assuming i clq that i have scholarship and i dont have ,but because i cant submit without cliqing what will i tell them on the day of interview..�.. I am sorry i dont have scholarship but because i thought i belong to category A and i cant submit without cliqing scholarship... Pls enlighten me

see what they call online booking system - its a disaster!...I life in Abuja. Appointments in Abudja are......A whole German embassy! booking system looking like what was created by an illiterate . Buy grammarly - paulinus no go gree..

Sincerely this was my major confusion, i dont "live in abuja" i live in lagos" .. 2.. I have AL already.. My course is in english ... I can as well learn german over there in the school for 6 month according to the school site , there is a language school, planned to block in 3 weeks time.. Pls where do i belong. A or B.. School resumes sept 2019..

I jus book my visa appointment for early July. In fact, I luckily selected the date I want. Appointment letter dropped in my mail as well. Wish all of us a successful application. Cheers

2. Do u have an idea of the last date for student visa application in german embassy Nigeria of sept 2019/2020 section.
3. What and what document did you send to book your visa appointment.
4. If some one is to resume in sept 2019.When Is it best to apply for visa

The source of funds is really important if not your interview would be useless. The major thing you need to settle is that funds. Pray, ask around.. friends, relatives, family members, church members etc. God would do something. Or tell as much people as possible about your case you never know who can connect you with someone that could act as a sponsor with SL.( be promising to pay back if push comes to shove) Without proof of funding you can’t go to DE for your masters. Stay strong brother.

Pls i have had admissions since 2017,i kept on deferring because of block funds,i have even opened a block acct but yet to fund,i have another admission now to resume sept 17 2019, am yet to fund, should just book for visa interview or what. I need you enlightenment
