Sorry about that... I want to use 2 sepereate dishes. One for multi TV and the other for a polarity for mbc stations only... Was asking for the best frequency to nail mbc Station that has stability (not one coming and going) and wanted to ask which of them my 60cm dish is optimised for (the MBC polarity or multi TV)

Thanks for the response. Let me try my best, if nothing happens I will send it to a strong dealer.

Reloading OS on 497s is a bit technical as it involves unscrewing the decoder, a PC and an rs232 cable. So if u still have warranty I advise you claim it and let them fix it.

My SRT 497s decoder displays only MYTV LOGO for like 2 sec and goes blank. It doesn't recognize remote control any longer. No activity at all .Only the 'ON INDICATOR' is seen. Pressing the power button does nothing too.

Please is c sat pro+ good for FTA,cos my installer said he is not confident about cast and instead I should bring 15k that he will get me better decorder even though he deliberately being avoiding telling me the name of the decoder and it is not strong. Please I need your advice on that if I shud go with csat pro+ or get another one within 10-15k. Thanks.

It's advisable you use yayi frequency (12511h 12500) to track as the signal is off and on

Please how can you protect a decoder from lightening and surge is there a device one can use?

There are surge arresters but I won't advise it. When there's lightning and thunderstorm just isolate your decoder from the mains and if possible disconnect the cable from the lnb to the decoder.
