Another talk from a mentally blocked person...when did the national assembly stop approving yearly budgets for capital projects...No wonder corruption abounds everywhere. The fed govt should have compelled the Israeli coy, that trxn must be disclosed to the SA govt since it involves their land and airspace....also the fed govt opted for the Israeli coy over the European firm because the latter said the Geneva convention arms deal trxn must be followed..Fact is CAN leader should be seen in spiritual work and projects and not in things that involves acquiring wealth..l
i maintain my stand the silliness of your argument just increased a 100 fold so after the national assembly approves the yearly budgets of ministries, ministries would still require another round of approval from National Assembly before spending? So when you do business with a private firm you give them directives on how to do there jobs? Until you proof the CAN presidents direct or indirect involvement in this arms deal and how it means wealth acquisition may your siliness never seize.

How easy its to spot illiterates and cankerworms instead of improving the quality of their argument they result to insults. I referred to his argument as silly and not him.
you are so disappointed that the money was duly returned to Nigeria after SA concluded their investigation. if there was illegalities as you claim despite the NSA's stand that the transaction was legal and the SA media confirming documents and receipts for the purchase of arms then SA should have withheld the money and stood their ground.

What nonsense talk are you saying?
The fact that the NSA and the presidency carried out this trxn without the approval of National assembly calls for concern. Also the fact that they did not involved the SA govt calls for more concerns...The pastor who represents a relispiritual body(CAN) in Nigeria should not drag the exalted seat to mud by romancing with the politicians...Anglican okogie admitted the pastor should not be dining with the politicians who are knowned to be develish..The private jet belong to CAN president?this is serious..The cbn brought a law that physical cash transfer is against the law,yet they allowed this..let's see what the financial reporting council of Nigeria will say
Your argument is so silly and uninformed. Did you check with the defense ministry to see how much was budgeted for capital projects? Since when do ministries require approval from National Assembly to spend from their yearly budgets? Did you know that the $5.3m was sent by bank transfer first before the desperation of using raw cash? moreover this is a black-market operation raw cash is allowed. The problem with you is comprehension the NSA engaged a private security firm own by an isreali security expert Eyel Mesika to purchase the arms on behalf of the FG. The FG has no business contacting SA directly, that's the arms dealer perogative. If not for mischief purpose the CAN President did not play any role directly or indirectly in that transaction he leased out his jet already to a firm to manage and with the official statement from Green Coast claiming responsibility for renting out the jet to the arm dealers he was exonerated from that moment. The cardinal spoke in a very derogatory manner jealousy was evident in his tone calling the CAN president and the President money launderers without proof is very appalling and shameful of a man of his caliber he should tender and unreserved apology to the CAN President who has stood firmly for the advancement of Christians in Nigeria.

PoliticsGEJ 2015 And The Northern Agenda by Dmacaw(op): 7:41pm On Oct 24, 2014
It's very sad that we are entering 2015 more polarized than we were in 2011, many has blamed it on GEJs reelection agenda from the happenings from 2011 till date the North had made their stand that power must return to the north either by choice or by force they have made bold their threat of making the nation Ungovernable for PGEJ this also led to the pulling out of 5 northern governors from the PDP when it became apparent that GEJ want to seek a second term in Office which he has constitutional right to, they tried other means to pull him down Sanusi an inside mole for the opposition leaked an unsubstantiated claim of 50bn he recanted the figures on 3 different occasions before he was kicked out just before the dust by sanusi settled. Tambuwal a son from the caliphate accuses PGEJ that his body language supports corruption then OBJ a known northern ally and a schemer wrote the most damning letter from a past president to an Incumbent titled before it is too late but then it was too late all this act of sabotage didn't stop PGEJ under a reformed PDP led by young and energetic Adamu Muazu from clinching the PDP presidential flag ticket un opposed a fit only imagined by his predecessor. Call him clueless at your own peril. The North in the past 4years has shown Little or no tolerance for the leadership of a minority this trend cannot be sustained considering the fact that the North led this country for almost 40yrs from our independence as a Nation and the incumbent is still saddlled with the responsibility to provide power, schools, good roads, diversification of our economy etc speaks volumes of the kind of leaders we had in those years.
For those seeking change in Aso Rock come 2015 a situation where all 3 aspirants of the opposition is from the North is unacceptable if this nation must continue in Unison then the idea of power returning to the North at all cost must be shelved, the opposition must look in the direction of East, South and West for credible candidates to wrestle power from GEJ come 2015.

And regards to keeping the chibok issue in the front burner GEJ 3weeks ago at UN general assembly reminded the world of this girls in captivity. Oby did not see that as an effort been made my GEJ on behalf of the chibok girl.

The rally was suppose to be for the rescue of chibok girls but the attention seeking Oby wanted to seize the opportunity to score another political point in Education, a sector which she dragged back 10yrs with her shambolic policies.
Thumbs up Sarah for reminding the hypocrite of her immense contributions to the collective failure we experience today.

Am particularly glad that Mr President ignored the protesters with few months to the election, they want him to make statements that they can twist and turn for political advantage as 2015 approaches.Protest are free Even in the USA I have not read about Obama directly addressing protesters to the white house.

And for those still nursing the idea of GEJ visit to chibok a war zone keep dreaming, did Obj ever visit borno when BH started even as a militia group destroying churches and schools? Did Yaradua ever visit the creeks in the Niger Delta even Obj when the militancy became serious with lots of kidnapping, killings in the Niger Delta? If it was comfortable then how come we are selfishly blackmailing GEJ When we have a war situation in our hand? When Obama visited the troops in Iraq it was the US military base he visited not the war torn streets of Baghdad.

New civil aviation policy bars private jets from commercial operations.

AIR CHATTER OPERATORS in Nigeria will likely begin to witness a business boom, as aviation authorities foreclose private jet owners from hiring out their aircraft.

The quote above exonerates Pastor Ayo.
Pastor Ayo did not hire out his private jet directly to the arm dealers this would have contravened the law above. what Pastor Ayo did was lease his aircraft to an Air chatter operator Green Coast Ltd which is legal cause the Air Chatter Operators would pay relevant tax.

PoliticsRe: 15 Reason I Won't Vote For APC In Lagos State by Dmacaw: 9:20pm On Oct 11, 2014
15yrs of AD/AC/APC rule in Lagos amounts to total failure of Leadership.
As much as I admire the Oratory skill of the incumbent Governor Fashola he has also failed to deliver the dividends of democracy to an appreciable level.
Considering the fact that Lagos State is the smallest state in Nigeria with huge Federal presence a little effort in the right direction would be easily noticed by all asundry.
In 8yrs in Lagos state I wonder how many new Secondary schools has been built? not to mention tertiary institutions. despite huge world bank loan for that effect. What's the performance of students from Lagos state in external exams and salary of teachers? When compared to states like Kano,Anambra,Enugu?

2) Transportation in Lagos has been an Achilles heel for a long time. He BRF promised in his first term to deliver the blue line 8yrs gone now we may have to wait another 8yrs for that vision to be fulfilled. Credit must be given for the improved water transport in Lagos but for a state that prides itself as Atlantic splendor more needs to be done, BRT is the new molue poor maintenance culture which has been the hallmark of failed leadership in Nigeria is already replicated.

Unemployment despite the huge potentials in Lagos it's still the home to the largest number of unemployed youths in Nigeria. How many jobs has he created? Compared to states like Kebbi, Rivers.

Road infrastructure almost 70% of itinerary roads are in very poor condition or has been under snail speed construction for the past 8yrs. Compare with states like Enugu. Akwa Ibom

Health I can't remember reading anywhere a new Specialist hospital was built by this administration all it pride itself LUTH. Compare to states like Delta,Abia,Akwa ibom.

Housing I see alot of new housing projects going on but can the civil servants afford them considering the choicy areas most of them are sited? But want thing this administration has done well is in the area of heavy taxing of Lagos resident with nothing to show for it. That's why they hail him Baba Fashola the Nigerian people don't respect you if you don't oppress them. A simple case of suffering and smiling.

With all the imperfections of the APC, they're miles better than the evil PDP which is built on looting and nothing but looting. APC can only get better and i already see the loss of Ekiti making them even more pro-people. So, you may vote PDP, but APC would still win Lagos. Lagosians are smarter than that.

Politics$9.3m A Case Of Money Laundering? by Dmacaw(op): 6:14pm On Oct 11, 2014
I have read various reports allegations and counter allegation regarding this Unfortunate incident.
A case of money laundering for or by who Can we confidently say that the following persons collaborated to launder $9.3m?

The President who would have given directives for the arm purchase?

The Minister of finance who would need to make necessary financial documents to guarantee the release of cash from CBN?

The Head of the Apex bank who authorized members of staff to release the cash to the money lauderers?

The NSA Who issued the end user certificate alongside the official seal of the NSA?

Green Coast company the company that rented the jet to the money launderers?

The MOG The original owner of the jet.

Judging from the list of people who got involved directly or indirectly we can confidently say this cannot be money laundering rather a covert operation gone bad.
The easiest means to launder money is through bank transfer no sane person would attempt carrying such amount of money through the airport security checks without been detected also this deal happened on a Friday and Green Coast told us the chatter service was for a round trip to SA 5th&6th don't forget 5th is on a Friday what would have been there assignment to dump the money in a bank?
The Israeli whose identity was released is a known security expert , the identity of the other two Nigerians has remained classified as expected of every covert operations Worldwide the SA authorities understand this that's why they didn't make there identities public since they claimed from the onset that they were there to purchase weapons on behalf of government. the Government did wrong was owning up they would have distanced themselves from the deal but I guess it was the credibility of the MOG that was been tarnished that made them open up eventually been the first high profile individual linked to the case. A government like USA would deny. Completely a case where they violated Pakistans sovereignty just to take out Osama bin laden If that operation had gone sour they won't have claimed responsibility.
My Humble opinion.

APC should stop playing politics with national security. There are other loopholes in this government they can exploit for political gain, why not look at the following sectors and profer alternative to the PDP such as Electricity,Health care, Housing, Unemployment, Electoral reforms, Agriculture, Education, Transport, etc no country in the world that plays politics with issues concerning national security. APC in one breathe telling us Asari Dokubo was on the plane and in another asking GEJ to reveal the identities of the passengers of the plane. The question is was it Jonathan that revealed the $9.3m deal? Was it GEJ that told us they were 3 passengers on the jet? Was it GEJ that told us the Israeli's name is Eyal Mesika? Was it GEJ that traced the jet owner to CAN president avoiding the Lessor in the Process? Why should it be GEJ That would confirm if Asari was aboard the Aircraft. My personal opinion if what APC want to make us believe is that the arms were meant for the Niger Delta militants then it will be stupidity to believe that cause the easiest route for illegal business is along our Waterways and I notice the spin doctors are trying everything possible to blackmail this government yesterday Sahara reporters gave a false headline 70 soldiers killed as Boko Haram re enforces troops with 3 Helicopters if you connect this Sahara reports with the Arms deal you will see the reason why they regard both Sahara reporters and APC as Boko Haram propagandist and supporters respectively.

Pastor Ayo need not explain that he obtained relevant permit to commercialize his aircraft (gift), all he needs to do is to show us and his constituency the said permits he claims to have obtained, and skeptics would get off his case.

Allegedly is a term used by lawyers in cases not yet determined by a court. Even if a person is caught on camera stealing, he is still an alleged theif.

There is a law a law prohibiting the use of private planes for commercial purposes. When questioned about the plane, pastor Ayo explained that the plane was for evangelical purposes, he did not tell us it was for commercial purposes.

Since you are the person in charge of the leasing deal, please explain how it works; Pastor Oritsejafor's church members decided to buy him a plane to ease his evengelical travels, the pastor then decided to lease the plane tho Eagle Air (his company), who then leased it to Green Coast Produce Ltd, who in turn chartered it to John Ishayku, who then used it to ferry cash illegally to South Africa on behalf of the Nigerian government to illegally buy weapons (without the knowledge of the south african government). They would then clandestinely ferry the money in the same plane back to Nigeria.

Please educate us further.
Since what you seek for is Education I would educate you I was told education is the best legacy you can give to anybody.
I know you read the reports regarding this issue with a biased mind Eagle Air is the company which Pastor Ayo Holds Residual interest in, it's Eagle air that entered into contractual agreement with Green Coast Produce a company that offers jet chatter services. Yes am sure the MOG Would be ready to provide relevant documents to back up his claim if people like you/Falana would take him to court.
Lastly Falana used the word "allegedly" registered for evangelism. He is definitely not sure of his claims. When questioned about the plane by who? The plane was bought for him to ease Evangelical work since then it became his sole property. if he decides to commercialize it he owes you(you know say your Osusu no join bye the plane) or nobody any explanation except may be his church members. I hope I have educated you.

Are you just being sarcastic or your brains have been bleach washed? How many Nigerian big men have been caught for money laundering? The son of a state governor is facing money laundering charges in Nigeria for attempting to smuggle undeclared money through our airports and he is not a toddler. Any money being smuggled into or out of a country ( against relevant laws) is known as money laundering. You think if a plane load of dollars land at heathrow airport or JFK airport (undeclared), you think the authorities there would accept the explanation that the Nigerian government are aware of the cash. The people caught would be facing jail time by now.

If Oritsejafor's members bought him a plane for evangelism, how come he decided to use it for a commercial venture without their knowledge? Besides are you aware that it is illegal to convert personal planes to commercial purposes in Nigeria? Is the pastor going to be paying taxes on this commercial venture?

Ayo is a Gift for CAN by turning can into a branch of PDP? In sane societies, Ayo would have since resigned as CAN president to save christians the embarrassment of his involvement in the money laundering/ arms smuggling saga.
Am neither of the above. And maybe you have been programmed to reason one way. How did you know his members are not aware? Are you a member of his church? And obviously you turned a blind eye to the part were he said he obtained relevant permit to commercialize the plane and I haven't read any report from NCAA indicting him of any wrong doing, for the sake of clarity even the Minister of Aviation absorbed him from any complicity. The company which the jet was leased to not going to pay relevant tax from proceeds of the plane?
From your reply its obvious you have a made up mind regarding PastorAyo. CAN a branch of PDP? because he supports the President right? Or have you seen him in a PDP political rally or him making a speech on behalf of PDP? The last time I checked his speech regarding PDP he was calling Bamanga Tukur a Boko Haram spokes person. And even if your wrong assertion about him favoring a political party is right it doesn't in any way contradicts any Bible principle. So he remains the indefatigable President of CAN no amount of wishful blackmail would pull him down.

Secondly don't swallow every poo you read Falana in his assertion was not even sure what the jet was as, he used the word "allegedly" registered for evangelism. The question is why is Falana not in court to prove his claim? Secondly there is no law which prohibits two company from entering into contract agreement Eagle Air and Green Coast. The South African newspaper, City

show that the first consignment was
personally signed off by the National
Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, who
issued the end-user certificate for the
transaction.
An entire “shopping list” was supplied
with the certificate, which included
everything from helicopters to
unmanned aircraft, rockets and
ammunition, it said.

From the quote above we can conclude that it was the NSA Who approved the botched $9.3m arms deal and this simply exonerates the CAN President of any complicity am happy this news is not from the Nigerian media, pretty surprised nobody has pointed accusing fingers at Sambo Dasuki. My take the Nigerian Govt is simply desperate to get arms through the black-market and South Africa is simply doing the biddings of World Powers by sabotaging her effort to do so this cannot be money laundering as I type this message a Nigerian Local government chairman, Commissioner,Governor somewhere just successfully laundered money abroad, not even a toddler would not attempt smuggling cash in a suitcase to a foreign country and this incident happened on a Friday September 5 am not sure banks in SA operate weekends so the possibility of lodging it in the bank that day is not possible, secondly there was a receipt of items to be purchased with a seal from the NSA.what went wrong and. Can't tell, thirdly SA has strict laws governing bank transactions compared to some other European countries with less stiffer laws. SA is not a first choice of destination for money laundering.

on this recent $5.7m deal its a wired transaction between two company's with Societe internationaux based in Abuja am waiting for the Nigerian Govt to lay claim to this cash and we all need to find out all the share holders of this French company in Nigeria.

Documents in the newspaper’s possession show that the earlier consignment was approved by the Nigerian government – that country’s national security adviser personally issued the end-user certificate for the transaction.

For sure the truth will surely prevail with this news emanating from SA and not from our facts twisting media houses, stating Clearly that Sambo Dansuki NSA issued the end certificate for the botched $9.3m and has in no way indicted the CAN president of any wrong doing. I believe apologies should that rolling in from JNI, El rufai, Cardinal Okogie and from every Nairalander who resulted to blackmail and campaign of calumny against Pastor Ayo and as a matter of Urgency the NSA and Minister of defence should be sacked immediately the global embarrassment is one too many.

KennyElish: Is only a fool that would have made this kind of submission. Does the word "allegedly" now take away the facts on ground? he has not denied his private jet was used to carry the money and here you stand condemning who is guiding the people on how to put the country right. For your information, Falana is well made already, he is only fighting that things should be done in a right way for the masses of this nation to enjoy dividend of democracy in its actual sense. Argue like some one that is not clueless like your leaders.
obviously stupidity rains supreme in your lineage with educated illiterates like you who don't reason rationally can only be likened to a zombie.
is it the involvement of the jet that is the bone of contention? Or the legality of the act? Falana has no right to "allegedly" pronounce any one guilty, and if your"made falana" has balls and not a paper tiger he should have headed for the court on Monday and not end up on the pages of Newspaper.

Don't let hatred and sentiments ruin your poor life your generation may never smell the office of a councillor.

Falana said by the provisions of
CAMA, the jet which was allegedly
registered for the facilitation of
evangelism could not be leased to
another company for commercial
purpose, as CAN had said while
defending Oritsejafor.

Only in Nigeria would a SAN pronounce someone guilty based on rumor the jet which was "allegedly" registered for evangelism for God sake if you are not sure what name Pst Ayo used in registration why not do your homework properly before coming out to feed this majority of the gullible peeps on Nairaland trash.
