Lack of patience is killing me .... Every time i tell myself I won't close out on a trend following trades prematurely but I keep failing the rule.. The EU and Usdcad gave 6% yesterday, I left it to run only to check back and saw it has has retraced to almost break even, I jumped out without even allowing it to breakeven and the market reverses to TP and now it's has done more than TP... The business only rewards the confident and the patient trader

From +5% profit back to breakeven... Just few pips left to TP and the heavy reversal ..... The days we leave trade to run without checking the chart na hin market go do otherwise, the days of constant monitoring we close out coz of fear and market will later rally pass the TP.... Tft challenge account back to initial balance..... My third month of getting to 5% on TFT and crashing it down b4 the competition ends ...I will keep trying... Next month we go again

Knowing how to trade is as important as knowing the right broker to choose. Just look at the spread on Gbpnzd on Eightcap vs Octafx, same timeframe during normal market hours and not overnight nor weekend. Make i just withdraw my money buy better foodstuff for house before this wicked spread go finish am

They call it Revenge Trading, But I call it reentry with little risk coz the stop loss is just above the pinbar... SL already at breakeven so let's see if reentry will go to tp or come back to stop me at breakeven

I don't trade chjpy but I don't think your trade idea is wrong considering where the market is at.

But your trade timing was wrong

You traded an outside bar on the daily hoping for trend continuation. It rarely ever works out well for a chart with strong bullish motion like chjpy.

It's always safer to start trading from above or below the daily candle close than predicting the high and low within the candle close , especially if you are trying to call a reversal of 8 months of bullish motion.

If you take this same move, in 2 ,or 3 days time, with pinbars forming at that top, it could be successful.

for me, I think it might fail because you are not looking at the chart, you are looking at a pattern and hoping the market will draw that pattern...

wait for the market to move in the direction of your trade idea,, to be on the safer side, look for structure being broken in the direction of your trade

I'm planning to reenter if price clears all the liquidity on top by picking retailers Stoplosses and the close backs into the zone on an hourly candle, A bearish pinbar will surface and I will fight back with Full lots size

From your chart, looking at the pattern which you applied correctly, maybe u need to wait for evidence to sell with candlesticks or so; a bearish pattern candle to confirm the chart pattern...

Anyway, the thing is this market, there's no right or wrong to look at it.. that same trades could have worked well some other time whether you decide to wait for confirmation candlestick or not but then again we have to put the probability in our favour by ticking all boxes of our strategies.

Are u the kinda trader that waits for confirmation or just delve right in. All this things is not easy to know but u have to know them through back -testing and live experience.

No matter how decent a trade looks, if it requires a wider stop Pls pass it on.. The 2 reds on UJ was as a result of overconfidence forgetting that it's a counter trend trade, the 2.0 lots size was running in profit and it remain just little pips to get to TP, I impulsively added a 3 lots size to it so that they ll hit TP together and to my surprise, Price started to reverse immediately I entered the big lot size till both reach SL, The bulls are in control so I joined them instead of shouting manipulation and the next was blue.... You see that EURCAD my God ll judge him for messing with my brain

It was a challenging week with my tft competition earlier in the week. Us30 swallowed 3.5% high lot in gu swallowed another 2.5%

Fortunately moved from 6% last Friday to 11.5% today.
No DD hit yet.

If you hope to get 10%+ price from me, try and be updating us here since fxblue is not helping. So we have an idea of what's going on.

Let's try this one too.. The falling trendline with 3 accurate touches has been broken to the upside, price has formed a minor rising trendline with 2 touches, I will be buying at the intersect of both the broken and the rising Trendline if price comes back to that point

The trendline touches 3 times and now broken.. Let's try a sell at the retest of the broken trendline. At least it comes with a decent RR so I can afford to be wrong on this. If taken out we will join the bull rally
