If your definition of playing sweet football is just tiki-taka style, then we no dey play well.
I can easily say that we've played more attractive games this season than the few games you guys they use to flog us now.
Playing good football ain't about playing the tiki-taka style.

You can play good football without playing that style. It's just a way of playing. One of many ways to play good footie.

Tottenham are playing some good football, but are they playing tiki-taka? Nope... Real Madrid plays good football too, but do they play tiki-taka? Definitely not. Present day Barça plays good football, as always and albeit not like in yesteryears, they still do now. But do they play tiki-taka presently? Far from it.

One thing that is common amongst teams who play good football, is attack. The way they play the ball around and how they attack with the ball. Of course defence is also part of the game, and is not being undermined here. But then, football (in its attacking sense) is a joy to watch. You remember the game against Man City vs Monaco last season at the Etihad? It was an absolute gem to watch and whether you were a supporter or hater of any of both teams, you'd appreciate the end-to-end football played on that night. How about the UCL game between Napoli and City? It was spectacular! Why? Because of the attacking intent of the game.

Now back to the nitty-gritty. I stated it some few posts ago that earlier in the season you guys played some good football and you scored lots of goals too. At a time, United and City had just 4 goals against, and City was just a goal or 2 ahead in terms of goals for. That was when you guys were actually playing football. But all of a sudden, Mourinho being Mourinho started approaching games with a negative mindset and attitude and then the amount of goals scored dropped, while also you guys started conceding more. Pep has always said the best form of defense is attack. And it's evident in the fact that they've scored the most and conceded the least.

If only Mourinho would be brave again and do things accordingly, I think it would really help to reshape things, else, I think the 2nd place would even be up for grabs by other teams. Anyway, let's just see how things unfold.

Then after that day, what happens next?

Like i mentioned earlier I did not say categorically that we are doing something right, it's a suggestive phrase.
But in every negative there must be a positive. What we are doing right, is were have improved from 2 seasons ago and last season. Haven't We?
Yes you have... But the bone of contention wasn't about comparisons to previous seasons, was it? You said that in relation to the trolls, that you must be doing something right for trolls to be swarming your thread in recent times.

Anyway, as much as you've really improved compared to previous seasons, I dare say that you are still a long way off especially taking cognizance of the resources you have at your disposal. Hence, I believe there is every tendency that you should have done better than what you're doing now. My point is... At the start of the season it seemed Mou has had everything all figured out and he was actually competing. All of a sudden, he started being a coward and approaching games like an inexperienced manager. And for me, that was where the team started nose-diving.

Well, it's all good though. At least you guys are still in 2nd position. But from every indication, it seems it won't be for long because your coach is definitely running out of ideas. And I would still state that at some point earlier in the season you were playing actually well. But now...?

I said we must be doing something right, if you know logic as you bandy about you will know that's is not an assertion. The dude said we dont play attractively but doesn't watch our matches, the question will now be how did he know? If he hears from people or by reading comments about united playing badly, and then jumps out to validate it without actually watching the games, then that's a ridiculously unfounded conclusion
You wanna make this hard for yourself bruv... In this time and age, you honestly don't have to be anywhere at any time to give your say or air your view. We have all ways to garner information nowadays, so one cannot be limited to saying if you weren't there, or if you didn't see it then you can't have a say.

To a greater extent you can tell of some historical events that ensued in Nigeria in times past. And albeit some might not be entirely true, but to a large extent most will be. Will you be okay if someone says because you didn't experience first hand at the time some of those events transpired then you have no idea what actually happened? Your answer here would really put things into perspective.

So you see... You don't have to be there live to know what happened. You also don't have to watch every game to know what happened. I've not been to the States before, but I don't need to see Trump live to know that he is the President of the USA or to have an idea of his kinda person, do I? Just wanted to clear this idea of "you don't watch our matches and hence can't have a say" blah blah blah.

Now back to your claim... Can we just be objective now? Can you tell me what you honestly think you guys are doing right in recent games or weeks? Because judging by the turn of events, the reverse seem to be the case, at least judging by recent events. No?

how did you now know we dont play attractively since you seldom watch their matches. Talking about logic your premises is even more ridiculously unfounded, you can't possibly know a football that is not attractive when you did not watch it man.
And how did you think people come here because you play attractive football? You started this you know... And from the get go your logic was flawed. Just so you know.

Moreover, you don't need to watch every match to know what happens, do you?

You don't determine to me what kind of football I like to watch. If the type of football we play is not attractive to You, why watch it? It defied logic that you keep watching a team you claim dont play attractively week in week out.
It defies logic to make assertions you can't defend or that are unfounded. Who says I watch your match? The last time I watched your match was against Chelsea and before that, it was Tottenham, and before that, I can't even remember. So, point of redirection... I don't watch your matches. Got it?

Lol console ko console ni. U think I am the kind of fan that get worried or get upset when my team didnt win. Omo calm down, I love my team win, lose, draw. I am not a glory hunter like most of you.
I was at Stratford station few days ago and some Newcatle united fans trooped into the station to board a train back to Newcastle, after their win against West ham at the Olympic stadium. they were singing and jubilating with club scarfs and Jersey, I saw men and women who love the team they claim to support. If Newcastle fans that are bottom will travel from northeast England to London just to cheer their team, I owe my own team united absolute loyalty in all circumstances. Be guided
I don't have anything against one supporting its team through thick or thin... I just didn't fancy the assertion about other club fans getting at you because you are playing attractively and/or doing something right. I decided to clear or correct such impression that there is absolutely nothing attractive about your team at this juncture. Not to say you shouldn't be loyal though. Just don't make such claims ever again.cheesy
