At the mention of Atiku, INTELS invariably comes to mind, and dubious business practices come to mind In the beginning The administrations of Generals Sanni Abacha, Abdulsalami Abubakar and Olusegun Obasanjo and Alhaji Umaru Yar’Adua had previously refused ploys to grant monopoly status to the(INTELS) However Atiku's Intels had its way under GEJ "...Minister’s directive was conveyed to the NPA via a letter with reference number T. 0160/8.103/C2/T4/431 dated July 25, 2012 it received from the Federal Ministry of Transport, Abuja directing it to ensure that all vessels carrying oil and gas related cargoes are made to berth only at Intels terminal. NPA consequently issued circular number EP/AGM/OPTS/034/ dated March 18, 2013 to enforce the order." Implications of.Intel monopoly 1. it was solely in charge of all shipment cargoes in the oil and gas industry 2. It's charges were about x10 the normal rate According to Jude, an insider, ..(the) ship(that) would have paid about N25 million for the handling of its cargo at Warri Port but would pay about N267 million for the same service at Intels. https://www.google.com.ng/amp/shipsandports.com.ng/intels-extends-oil-and-gas-cargo-monopoly-to-warri-lagos/amp/ Intel saga: We were billed in dollars for services we could have paid for in Naira As a critical stakeholder, I can, however, tell you from experience that INTELS must have gone too far on its alleged excesses before government could act the way it did. It is alleged in some quarters that INTELS has been operating beyond its mandate... it is alleged that the firm was charging in dollars for cargoes domiciled in Nigeria the major lesson here is that there should no longer be special privileges or exclusive agreements. — Chief Reginald Amadi, Public Relations Officer, Delta/Edo Command Association of Nigerian Licensed Custom Agents https://www.google.com.ng/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2017/10/intel-saga-billed-dollars-services-paid-naira-amadi/amp/ The storm not yet over Seaports monopoly: The imminent economic crisis "The maritime industry is one of the casualties of the former president’s agility at dusk. One of such alleged directives, gleefully carried out by the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) ordered LADOL Integrated Free Logistics Zone Enterprise to relocate its $500 million Egina FPSO currently going on in Apapa, Lagos, South-West Nigeria, to Bayelsa State in South-South Nigeria or to any convenient facility in the area. Now, the only convenient facility that LADOL could possibly relocate its massive Egina Project to, is the Onne/Ikpokiri Free Zone which is exclusively controlled by INTELS. What this directive connotes then is that LADOL, an INTELS’ competitor, should run its business from INTELS’ facility, under INTELS’ control..." https://www.google.com.ng/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2015/07/seaports-monopoly-the-imminent-economic-crisis/amp/ |
No site mentioned? Where could a dry port be located in Edo state? Still thinking. |
PDP and corruption are factory fitted! |
Hopebringer:Commenting just for commenting sake. Under which regime did MTN perpetuate the fraud? CBN LETTER TO MTN viii. On account of the illegal conversion of your shareholders’ loan to preference shares (interest free loan) of $399,594,146.00, the sum of $8,134,312,397.63 was illegally repatriated on behalf of your company by the aforementioned banks between 2007 and 2015 |
KRILMIJAY:Change is work in progress. We are reaching the sweeter end. Just a little while longer |
KRILMIJAY:When PMB wins a second term. |
TonyeBarcanista:No politician in Delta state has ever been accurately or properly judged according to the dictates of a free and fair election since 1999. It has always been rigging, rigging, and rigging by the PDP at all levels, save for 2 or 3 occasions that one of the opposing parties was able to record a win. In same vein, Manager and Uduaghan have not really been tested. Who wins will depend on 1 appeal across ethnic divide 2 available resources 3 sentiments - Manager is a 4th timer in the Senate. The Isokos and itsekiris may feel the need for a change. |
Cantonese:Many of your suppositions are based.on the old order prior to the advent of PVC. If you are resident in the state and have actually participated in the voting exercise you will know that elections in Delta state were purely the writing of results in government house Asaba. |
PaChukwudi44:He will have to vie for it with others such as Uduaghan Macaulay is languishing in PDP no thanks to Okowa politics of exclusion. Moreover he is like the only reputable person in PDP in Isoko still standing. APC Chairman is his kinsman. |
senatordave1:1. Okowa is overhyped. IKA has 2 LGA - South and NE Ojuogor reigns in Ika south . Even in IKA north there is a simmering bitterness because Okowa is percievef to be focused only on his hometown Owa Alero. In Delta central, Ogboru is being gradually perceived as a serial looser, though wrongly. Whoever he gives his support to will always carry the day. I read somewhere he has agreed to step down. Macaulay from isoko is still watching the emerging political scenario. He will defect to APC if PDP choose to give Manager from Ijaw the Delta south senatorial ticket |
senatordave1:It may appear confusing, But for APC to win in Delta state some hard choices must be made by the party and all the gladiators, It is clear for all to see that to beat PDP, APC must field a candidate from the north srnotarial zone where Okowa is from. Ogboru and Emerhor might have been prevailed upon to jettison their bids becausebof the emerging scenario. No word from Omo Agege yet concerning the allotting of his senatorial seat to Emerhor. If this is acceptable to him it means he is keying into the agenda of flushing the PDP out of power as priority task for now. Emerhor, Ogboru, Omo Agege are from same central senatorial zone which is already under APC control. What will entice Delta north to vote APC- governorship ticket in the hands of a performer, not a pretender, like Utomi who happens to come from Delta north |
fyneguy:I wish they present him, but Dr Ojuogor may have a different opinion. The later though knows how to neutralize Okowa. Just ask any IKA person dwelling there. |
deboysben:Some issue are incontestable, 1. Delta Central is APC. 2 In DT South , 2 of the 3 major tribes are in APC fold ie Isoko and Itsekiri going by the gale of defections recently especially in Isoko land where the APC chairman is from as well as Uduaghan and Ayeri. So PDP can only boast of the Ijaw votes 3 In Delta north, the zone of Okowa, the governor cant boas of 60% loyalty from his IKA tribesmen because Dr Ojuogo of APC is always there to dilute his influence whenever they belong to opposing camps. In fact IKA nation is almost equally divided between them. The there is Kachukwu, 4 PVC no more writing of results in government house after dumping election results from the creeks in the ocean. |
SadiqBabaSani:It is incontrovertible that PDP vice grip in DT state politics was based on violence and rigging of elections. I know you won't want us deviate to that ugly side of our history |
SadiqBabaSani:I agree with you. Prior to becoming a governor, everybody thought Okowa would make a difference. Now it has become obvious that to be an Eyin is a different kettle of fish entirely, not by big lips. So there is need to disengage from the PDP. |
SadiqBabaSani:I am a liar. No point joining issues with you. If you want me to , define yourself |
PaChukwudi44:Pa Chukwudi, this is my state my zone my politics. I am on ground in Delta state. So when you are posting let it nott be on your usual speculation but on facts that you can defend |
I see realignment of political forces to push out PDP from power in Delta state come 2019. Once the Emerhor factor is amicably resolved, the coast will be clear for APC to present a candidate from Delta north senatorial zone to face Okowa. The Ogboru faction, according to sources has earlier conceded the governorship slot to Delta north. Withe Delta central already APC, the party will most likely capture Delta South . Delta north will be a battle ground. PDP is going, going annnd gone in Delta state |
Perez Brisibe UGHELLI – LEADERS and Elders of the All Progressives Congress, APC from Delta Central senatorial district, have purchased and presented a nomination and expression of interest form to the leader of the party in the state, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor beckoning on him to run for the office of senate representing the district. The Delta Central Senatorial district is currently being occupied by Senator Ovie Omo-Agege who is loyal to the Jones Erue led executive of the party. With the current position of things, Omo-Agege who has been the sole aspirant for the position in the party, would be fighting for the party’s ticket with Emerhor if he accepts the appeal of the party elders. Details shortly https://www.vanguardngr.com/2018/09/breaking-delta-apc-elders-leaders-purchase-presents-senate-form-to-emerhor/amp/

Chineke na Allah. Wike, a rumour monger. |
"penis wheezing"! Ayam not understanding again tori Olorun. |
Johnnyessence:You have to. You need to cool down |
Johnnyessence:You are not only politically irresponsible, but also becoming socially irresponsibly |
Integrity is harder than diamond. It is not easy destroying integrity just as it is very hard sawing through diamond. Since 2002, a section of our political, class, ethnic and religious divide have made it their duty to bring down one man, PMB. But so far not even as much as a dent. OBJ said PDP politics is a do or die one. Who will live and who will die. Definitely not PMB. He is protected by the prayers of the majority. |
Such an important thread is inexorably dry. I was expecting a barrage of negative criticism. |
Mynd44:The guy don give everybody work be that.Anyway, there is dignity in labour. Eni ko shishe ma jale! |
Mercenaries are for hire. You dont hire mercenaries and expect them not to look around for more fuitful ventures. |
Real Confusion |
CodeTemplar:Whatever name you chose to call it, the common man is happy. That is the objective. |
This is an interesting topic. If only people can post facts about the performance of the program in their various states. OP, I read somewhere that Delta state has the best organized program |
