Evestar200: I would think a hospital the size to handle a birth of that nature should have a website portal with phone numbers etc. I also don't know the stand of the Nigerian Consulate cos the are in a better position to verify this story with a call to the hospital. Whilst the story surrounding the nonuplets is fishy the lady comes across as reputable in her claim. No one would steal nine babies and expose herself to the media with such confidence. Then again what do I know.. 1 Like |

carls003: At the very least she should have relatives that would be aware of her delivery. I live in Cameroon and watch Nollywood. There is no exaggeration on the role and importance of child birth in the Igbo culture. Nine babies would definitely have earned her immense support from Igbo businessmen and political class 2 Likes |

When news of the incident first sank in, it was rumoured she put to birth at Manyemen Presbyterian Hospital in a remote suburb of the South West Region of Cameroon. However the hospital later refuted the claim citing the woman only used their facility while enroute the township of Cameroon from Nigeria. Apparently they stopped to eat bush meat according to the hospital. Later on bloggers and even local tv stations in Douala broke the news as births recorded in Limbe Provincial Hospital. The Delegate of health for that region just refuted the claim too. The children in those videos come across as 3 months babies. I can say for certain there is no way she would deliver 9 children without it going viral. 9 children at birth would definitely need intensive care at a specialised hospital which would inturn bring media publicity to the births. Very few hospitals in Cameroon can handle the complexities involved in a nonuplet birth The ones born in Morocco spent several months in intensive care with the media awash with their story even before delivery. However despite the controversy surrounding her delivery she carries herself with enough self confidence giving audiences to local tv stations in stark contrast to a baby thief. Could this be a case of spiritual husband impregnated her and she put to birth in the spirit world and brought her kids to the physical world...(Sarcasm) Lol Waytie Musa no go see for Gate 2 Likes |

Gone are the days of playful quality childhood football. For the records the ball in itself didn't have to be round, but round was preferred. ..Lol Discarded plastic containers, oranges and grapes, or anything that could be kicked around was a ball.. In Cameroon real balls fell into three categories, Mini, Super Tele and Size 5. Mini's were small soft latex balls that often developed a distorted shape, when left on the bare floor over night. On the field it was controlled by both the direction of the kick, and the wind. Lol Super Tele was an actual present day football size, but of same soft latex quality as Mini. Size 5 was durable, expensive and consistent with older kids. The rules of the game depended on what game of football was involved. In Cameroon the were different kinds of football games. Nzorlor Beating, Dima Catch, Tombel, Knacking Bar etc. I will elaborate on the rules of Nzorlor Beating. The ball was kicked around by all with the end point being trying to force pass the ball in-between the legs of anyone. If you were unfortunate enough to have the ball pass inbetween your legs, everyone would fall on you with beatings. You could only redeem yourself, by rushing off to touch the designated object, that had been unanimously decided as the redeemer before the game commenced..Lol Please dont ask me about my experience with this game. One day while playing with bigger kids the ball passed in-between my legs and everyone fell on me, kicking, slapping with blood oozing out from my ears, eyes, mouth. 😭😭As I screamed loudly and struggled for freedom, to go touch the designated tree that should redeem me, I got up to realise it was a dream of the lovely, entertaining but scary Nzorlor Beating that a weakling like me could only play with kids far younger my age..😅😅😅 Dr Ayukebot O Rowland Pharmacognosist Flavell MEDICINA 15 Likes 2 Shares |

Medicine has a long history of bogus doctors, crafty impostors who put on white coats and win the trust of patients and physicians alike, deploying a polished bedside manner that often masks their limited expertise. It's not just a Nigerian problem. Despite an entirely computerised system and ease of verification The US still has a long list of quack medical practitioners some practising at the highest level with exploits that have gone unnoticed for years. Recently a High School drop out successfully practiced for eighteen months before being apprehended. Others after being caught , jailed and released on probation still went back to don the white coat. No one did it better than Ferdinand Waldo Demara. Successfully pulling through sixteen complex operations during the Korean War with no medical training. Quickly disappearing to his private room, he would read quickly on how to perform the next procedure. Then, with icy concentration, he would return to the operating table. Extraordinarily all his patients survived. Infact it was when his outstanding performance in surgery at the war front was published in a Canadian Newspaper that it became obvious he had been impersonating Dr Joseph Cyr who was at home in Canada Dr Ayukebot O Rowland Pharmacognosist Flavell MEDICINA 72 Likes 5 Shares |
Health / Re: My Kidney And Liver Function Test Result by DoctorAyukebot(m): 3:16pm On Aug 26, 2023 |
Your inability to wait till Monday before your doctor gets to interprete your results shows you are very anxious. Whilst anxiety is a normal human response, too much of it can raise your blood Pressure and lead to insomnia and depression. In your case I would say you are anxious over too little. Your health is good, so take a chill pill and relax Bro.. Back to your exam. Blood was taken from your vein to run an Electrolyte Panel tests. Electrolytes are substances that have a natural positive or negative electrical charge when dissolved in water. They help your body regulate chemical reactions, maintain the balance between fluids inside and outside your cells, and more. They’re also a key way to diagnose a wide range of medical conditions and diseases. A healthy body keeps a range of these electrolytes as too much of it or too little could cause diverse symptoms (Confusions, Behavioral changes, Irregular Heart beat, Chest Pains, Severe Headaches, Kidney Stones, Vomiting, Weakness, Inability to move muscled etc.) It could also diagnose a Kidney or Heart Problem etc. Your blood was checked for Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, Bicarbonate. Your body uses Bicarbonate to keep your blood PH normal. Chloride helps cells maintain their internal and external balance of fluids and general body PH. Potassium for Heart functioning and Sodium for cell fluid balance. Your parameters show you within the normal range and so nothing to worry about. Your blood was also checked for Urea and Creatinine. Both Urea and Creatinine are waste products that tell how well your kidneys are filtering. Urea is a waste product formed as the liver breaks down protein. Creatinine is a waste product of Creatine as the muscles break down (simply put) ..These by products in blood get filtered by the kidneys. Too much of it in the blood could mean your kidneys aren't filtering well enough. From your numbers it shows your GFR which is the rate at which the kidneys filter is perfect. A liver function test was also performed. Alkaline Phosphatase, ALT, AST, are liver enzymes test that could get raise if the liver is damaged. Total Bilirubin a waste product of broken down old red blood cells and gives an idea of overall liver Health. All in all Your parameters point towards a Perfect functioning Liver and Kidney.. Amarahobu: Not directly if the kidneys aren't compromised but over time sustained high blood pressure can cause a strain on the filters of kidneys leading to foamy urine caused by Proteinuria. Also during a sustained hypertensive crisis (blood pressure equals to or higher than 180/110) some patients could experience foamy urine due to hyperactivity. In any case a urinalysis would often detect excretory albumin (protein) |

I admire men like Prigozhin who outsmart the limitations placed by society. Western media seldom talks about him in a sentence without mentioning his juvenile past of fraud and robbery, that landed him a 12 years sentence in the 80's. It is not his juvenile years of crime I admire, but how he was able to reposition himself into society as a food seller in kiosks on the streets of Moscow, to owner of luxurious chain of restaurants that hosted Putin and foreign dignitaries. Consequently he morphed himself from a petty crime boss to a lucrative businessman that fed the Kremlin and Russia's baracks, accruing billions of dollars in contracts from the Russian state. All this through Putin's patronage. There is no denying with little to no military formation he extended his prowess in business to the Wagner Private Military Company that put Russia on the map of modern warfare tactics albeit brutality. However the day he saw of himself as the butterfly who had grown into a vulture, big enough to spill the blood of Russian pilots cos of grievances he could have directly hot lined Putin, was the end of the road for him. Lesson learned, Everyone has got a limit Despite publicly declaring his mutiny was against military chiefs and not Putin, he outrightly placed the latter in a position of weakness that was masturbated by Western media for weeks. Whether Putin directly or indirectly has a hand in his demise yesterday, he has repositioned his image as a no nonsense dictator capable of taking his pound of flesh whenever and however. Health / Re: Does Malaria Cause Loss Of Retention by DoctorAyukebot(m): 3:18am On Aug 24, 2023 |
underpinna: Your question isn't complete without mentioning what retention you referring to. Loss of retention of memory or loss of retention of urine. You most likely referring to the former A lot of research has been carried out on the after effects of malaria which points to a lot of hidden damage that lasts a life time for some. Whilst its been touted that constant exposure to malaria creates a form of immunity for some that prevents them from having severe malaria or fevers or seek treatment for mild episodes, recent research in India shows it leaves them with cognitive failures. Children in sub-Saharan Africa are the most affected, and those who survive often retain life-long disorders which can profoundly lead to deficits in attention, memory, visuo-spatial skills, language and executive functions may occur after malaria infection. These deficits are not only caused by cerebral falciparum malaria, but also appear to occur in less severe infections. P. falciparum seems to affect the brain globally, not in a localised fashion. |
