Had a similar experience when serving as a corper in Ota Ogun State. I was working with my laptop. It was plugged in. Rain started falling and nepa took light. About 5 minutes later, thunder struck. In that moment, current flew from the socket and lifted me and my laptop into the air. If I had not quickly thrown the laptop away, I would have been electrocuted.
