Politics4 Military Bases Overrun In 1 Week And No Response From The Airforce. by Dogalmighty17(op): 4:23pm On Mar 09
Airforce and airpower is what makes or breaks any military operation worldwide. As we are currently seeing happen in Iran, the US and Israel are engaged in sustained aerial bombardments of Iranian positions to soften Iranian defenses and render them incapable of withstanding any coming American troops invasion. While the airforce cannot hold ground, it can deny the enemy easy access to it and stop the enemy from building up fortifications.

Overall, we have to be embarrassed at this point of the total incompetence Nigeria's military has displayed. Over 22 years of the war against terror, the Nigerian military has never been able to point out and launch offensives against a single Boko Haram camp. Rather, we are fed endless woes of Boko Haram carrying out offensive attacks and overrunning Nigerian army bases. Or in rare instances, we read that the Nigerian army repelled the attackers.

There is hardly any reports of the attackers being tracked back to their bases and the entire base wiped out. Rather, the army repels the attackers at first, then sits back and waits for the terrorists counter offensive. The terrorists restrategize and attack again. They meet with success this time. Shameful.

The bigger disgrace here is the Nigerian airforce. How do 4 military bases get attacked in one week and their is no single response? No closed air support, no interdiction, nothing. Expensive good for nothing platforms waste away in bases across the country. Fighter jets and attack helicopters so useless and ineffective that every Nigerian should be ashamed of the boy scouts we have operating them.

From just one state in the north east, Boko Haram has now spread to Kwara state, terrorising citizens. Right under the nose of the armed forces, terrorist elements are gaining more ground. There is a limit to what outright lies can do and achieve. But Nigerians are not deceived. We know who is winning the terror war and it certainly isn't Nigeria.

Perhaps it is time to outsource our military and defence needs to countries with competent armies and who have what it takes to put down terrorism for good. The present performance of what passes for armed forces in Nigeria is a sad disgrace and a painful joke. No competent military loses 40 soldiers in a week.

Biafraaa:
TRUMP IS CORNERED AND NOBODY IS SAYING IT

Option 1: Leave Iran → Middle East falls. Israel destroyed. America looks weak FOREVER.

Option 2: Send ground troops → Iran has 600,000 active military + mountain terrain. This becomes Afghanistan x10.

Option 3: Nuclear strike → Russia and China respond. Global war. End of civilization.

Every option ends in catastrophe.

The leader of the free world has NO GOOD MOVE LEFT.

Let that satisfiedink in.
Morons will argue with what you posted. Ignorance is seriously a plague in Africa.

Foreign AffairsRe: Why Closing The Strait Of Hormuz Has Devastating Effects On Global Oil Shipping by Dogalmighty17: 5:21pm On Mar 08
As per the New York Times, Iran struck the Gulf countries hard tonight.

- The NYT just reported U.S. officials gave a closed door briefing to Congress estimating Iran still retains half its ballistic missile program and even more of its drone capabilities

- The Strait of Hormuz is still shut, and if Iran can sustain this for another 3 weeks, the global markets won’t survive (and based on the NYT report, they should easily be able to)

- The Iranian regime has not collapsed, and the new leader seems even more radical. Apparently the less radical alternatives the U.S. was eyeing to take power where ‘accidentally’ killed (likely by Israel)

- The U.S. burned through 800+ Patriot interceptors in five days at $4 million each, and even before this war started, the Pentagon only had a quarter of the interceptor stockpile it needs to defend all its global commitments.

Trump just allowed Benjamin Netannyahu push him into a deep hole he can't come out from. One thing is for sure, by the time this thing is over, Americans will have so much hate for Israel. It is already happening as the base of both parties are turning against Israel. A democratic incumbent in the house of reps just lost her primaries due to her support for Israel. The tide is beginning to turn. As an ally, Israel has done nothing but cause problems for the United States.
Foreign AffairsRe: Why Closing The Strait Of Hormuz Has Devastating Effects On Global Oil Shipping by Dogalmighty17: 5:08pm On Mar 08
Anyone who isn't a flaming imbe already knows this. I have been sounding this warning days before the US and Israel began striking Iran. But supremely ignorant Nigerians who support Israel and America, countries that don't care one bit about us and hate us, are buying the narrative that the West is pushing.

If Israel and the US were doing so well as they say, why are they blacking out every news and video clips of the damages Iran is causing. I am by no means a supporter of Iran but I find it strange that the same Iran that Trump is claiming to have rendered impotent just fired off 168 missiles hours ago.

Trump lied that he totally destroyed Iran's nuclear processing capabilities last October and yet today, he is preparing to send 5000 special forces into Iran to help secure those stockpiles. A suicidal move.

Iran may not have the weapons and planes the US and Israel have but it has one thing, the ability to throw a good punch into the balls of the global economy. The strait of Hormuz is what God has blessed them with. They will be totally incompetent not to use it.

You will buy fuel for 1500 before this week is over. It will be painful but at least you will learn an important geographic lesson. You will know what the strait of Hormuz is and why it is so important.

Foreign AffairsRe: Iran Bombs U.S Oil Tanker In Persian Gulf (Photos) by Dogalmighty17: 4:43pm On Mar 07
The Iranian president doesn't control the IRGC.
Nigerians are just an embarrassingly ignorant people too lazy to even read up to get the full picture of what's happening.
Iran is not looking for a fair fight. It knows it cannot win that. All it seeks to do is to make this invasion as painful as possible for the US as possible.
Iranian citizens are used to pain and hardship. That country has been under sanctions since 1974. So bombing their power stations, schools and hospitals like the US and Israel are currently doing is just a minor inconvenience to them.

Iran however knows that the fat entitled ignorant slobs that most Americans are, can't stomach any form of hardship. So Iran seeks to push up the costs of energy, thereby making fuel prices rise and at the same time, threaten the petro-dollar. If economic distabilisation arises from it, then even better. That's Iran's thinking and that's why they have laid a siege on the strait of Hormuz.

The only way the US can get that strait open is by sending in soldiers. How many deaths of their own men can they handle? It may just be like Vietnam, the US used more bombs on Vietnam than all the quantity of bombs both allied and axis forces dropped in world war 2. The US killed close to 4 million Vietnamese while losing around 55,000 Americans but yet in the end, the US turned tail and left shamefully without achieving a single objective. The communists still took over.

Might is not all there is to be. Victory is not always an elixir. Sometimes, we need to pause and ask ourselves, is the cost worth it?
