SlavaUkraini:Taking punches to the face for a living does that to anyone. |
But you find a situation where income only comes from the husband and yet the wife expects him to help her do chores! |
Your country is heavily indebted to China and the Angolans think chasing out the Chinese is the best course of action? |
Yeah. We knew there was no way that pot could take up to 200 bags of rice. |
Succinctly and well written. Everyone deserves a second chance |
So today I was out with the boys knocking back a few green bottles and just enjoying the evening. One of my guys called up a nice piece of kponmo he had been rolling with. She turned up with her friend. I noticed this didn't sit lightly with him but he maintained his cool. He proceeded to tell her to place an order for whatever she desires. She then ordered for noodles, chips and eggs outside the desperado she and her friend had already ordered for and were drinking. When the waiter came to inquire how many plates to prepare, this lady told him to prepare two plates and one takeaway. Each plate was 6k. Making 18k in total for the food. My guy then picked offence with the extra plates ordered. He pointedly told her that he was only going to pay for one plate and if she wants her friend to eat, she can pay for her. That set his girl off. She began raving and ranting. She threatened that if he wasn't going to pay for her friends food, she'll walk away. My guy ignored her. She was quiet for over 40 minutes until the waiter brought a plate of her order. She stood up screaming and rejected it. She then dragged her friend and they walked out. The chef returned back with the food even though it had already been paid for. I normally don't drive when I know I'll be with the boys into the night so I left the car at home. I was done with my guys and strolled to the roadside to get keke. Guess who I saw inside the one I stopped? You guessed right, she and her friend. I sat down and we greeted. Later on, I started perceiving the scent of curry. I looked to my left and behold these girls were devouring noodles like savages. Apparently, after all their gra gra, they went behind and collected the noodles. I quietly watched as they ate like uncultured savages. Using bare unwashed hands. They even started quarelling because one of them cut a large slice of eggs. They couldn't wait to get home before eating a food they rejected. They are very beautiful ladies too. Ladies without class. |
Assuming this actually happened, then a professorial research on the stinginess of the female folk needs to be studied. |
We all know how this will end. Only a fool touches fire and expects not to get burnt. |
I used to have high hopes for this governor. What a disappointment he has become. |
How can we be patient with a patient? The man is probably lying in a hospital bed somewhere in Europe right now. The destiny of this great nation should not be stuck with a man incapable of giving his best. |
pdppower:It was the police that killed him. The Nigerian army arrested him and handed him over to the police. |
On this, Reno did not lie. Anyone with a recollection of events as they happened in Borno state knows that just as for Zamfara governor Yerima introduced Sharia in Zamfara to score cheap political points, Modu Sheriff former governor of Borno state used Boko Haram in its infancy then, for political leverage. The group did not start out with killing. The Yar'adua presidency proscribed the group and its leader Muhammad Yusuf, was arrested by Nigerian army soldiers and handed over to the Nigerian police force in cuffs. Less than 5 hours later, news spread that he had been killed. The police said he overpowered their men at the station and was exchanging fire with them. How could a man who had his hands cuffed behind him, be able to secure a weapon and open fire at officers? It is worth noting that the police never displayed his corpse to the public. Yusuf was killed to prevent him from revealing who the sponsors of the group were. Seeing how their leader was killed, Boko Haram followers then retreated into the forests of Sambisa and from there, they began launching attacks targeting policemen and police formations in Borno state. The police was the only thing Boko Haram was after. They sought to revenge the death of their leader. Yar'adua's unfortunate death, saw Jonathan become president. This caused Northern politicians to become unhappy and they sponsored a boko haram spin off that was more deadly than the parent group. It is worth noting that during the Jonathan presidency, Obasanjo travelled to Borno state to meet the founder of Boko Harams family. He met Yusuf's wife and nephew. They informed him that the original faction of Boko Haram which their late principal headed, was not behind the attacks that were already spreading to states like Yobe, Kaduna and eventually the FCT. The FCT itself had the UN building bombed and the overwhelmingly deadly nyanya park bombing that saw 93 people die. Politicians had hijacked the group. Remember that Kabiru Sokoto and Aminu Ogwuche were later on apprehended as the primary masterminds of the Abuja bombings. Kabiru Sokoto was later said to have escaped from the police as he was being transported from detention. The truth later came out that a high ranking official working in the CBN provided the Hilux that the police used and conveniently allowed him to escape from. Though Kabiru Sokoto was later apprehended as he was trying to flee to Benin republic, no investigation was carried out on which CBN official provided the logistics for his escape. Aminu Ogwuche, Kabiru's accomplice, would later sue the federal government for 100 million naira for unlawful detention. Till today, there is no report if these young men were successfully prosecuted. For all we know, they have been quietly let go. Their sponsors are powerful persons in the north and the government prefers to look the other way. The UAE gave the Buhari government a list of Boko Haram sponsors. Till today, the government has refused releasing those names. It has equally arrested no one on that list. The original boko haram as we know it, doesn't exist anymore. |
Question worth asking, outside him telling his dad that he was the one who shot Kirk and talk in certain quarters that some of the clothing the suspect wore in the picture released by the FBI were found at his place, upon what else does the states case stand? For all we know, he might just be seeking to cash in on the notoriety fame brings. He was supposedly seen on CCTV leaving the roof of the building the shot was fired from. But he had no gun on him. The gun they later found in the woods was too large to be hidden in his clothes. Unlike other similar cases, there has been little or no talk on how forensics links Peterson to the shooting. Is his dad's testimony enough for the state to prove it's case? Do we know for sure that the gun used belonged to him and that he was behind the shot? He may very well recant his testimony to his dad tomorrow. Outside that testimony, how close was law enforcement to apprehending him? I think the oral testimony of the dad is very shaky ground to base his conviction on. The FBI will need way more than that to prosecute this case. |
Samantha125:You have been proven right. What exactly is the criteria for this front page sef? |
They won't hear now. Tomorrow they will blame the government |
A king can't be a criminal at the same time. The custodian of the peoples culture must be above board at all times. |
When you marry into a family of reasonable in-laws, things work out well for you. If you go and marry into a family of amu mkpamas that their daughter is just a minus in your life, na you go hear am. |
My best clothes are for club days. Highest if I took stress, na trad I go wear for Sunday. |
Na inside the Saturday hangover wey I dey deal with I go siddon for church pass 2 hours? Wetin the pastor wan dey talk wey pass 30 minutes? Abeg o! |
Don't allow these religious nutjobs sell you a lie about this racist. Charlie Kirk delighted in the deaths of children and genuinely believed in White supremacy. He lived a hateful life. |
And the church building is still standing? Maybe the young man doesn't really need the money. If I was the one, by the time the church building gets set on fire as a burnt offering unto the Lord, the pastor will understand. |
From the moment pictures started going out of the pot Hilda Bacci planned to use for her record setting attempt to cook the world's largest pot of jollof rice, anyone with a fair background in physics and possibly material science would have sensed something was off. There was no way that pot was going to serve. See, physics is impassionate and brutal. It's laws are set from the beginning of creation. For Hilda's record to have gone through without a hitch, the laws of physics would have been broken. I don't know what the dimensions the pot of galvanized steel she used are. I do however know that they were far too insufficient. The math alone was going to be problematic. Her initial plan was to use 250 bags of rice for that pot. Assuming she used 50kg bags of rice, that's already 12.5 tons. She later reduced the quantity to 200 bags which is 10 tons of rice or 10,000 kg. A look at that pot and its supporting legs clearly indicate it is no way rated to handle such a load. Disaster was already afoot. Heat causes metal to expand. This expansion, weakens the metallic bonds that holds the atoms that make up the metal in the pot. The weight of the rice in the pot further strains the structure of the pot, hence the collapse. She and her team did not consult widely nor did they meet qualified engineers for counsel. Today's disaster was inevitable as a result.
|
Exactly what I wrote about in an earlier post. The physics showed that her calculation was wrong and disaster was in the making. That's why she even reduced the number of bags from 250 to 200. But disaster still happened. What Hilda was trying to achieve needed precise mathematical and engineering solutions to handle that much weight of rice. The pot itself should have been polished reinforced steel. Like I said yesterday, physics is impassionate and brutal. |
Dangote was too busy to attend obviously. It is sad such a young life was wasted like that |
An autopsy should clarify this. I hope the Nigerian police is up to the task. |
O boy! This is a major undertaking. If there is one place a flyover is needed, it is Wurukum round about in Makurdi. To be objective, the APC has really tried in infrastructure. Insecurity is the weakest spot of the party because of the deal they struck with bloodsucking agents in the Sahel. Of what use is infrastructure when your people are being killed? I must mention as well that this project is part of the Keffi to 9th Mile, Enugu road dualization project Buhari signed with the Chinese government. China has provided funding for 70% of the project. Keffi to Makurdi is fully completed. They are now working on Makurdi to 9th Mile. The quality of job done so far is excellent. The project is done on a BOT basis. |
This is a lie reported by fox news and the new York post. They claim that sources in the FBI told them so. The same FBI led by a podcast artist, that was incompetent in its operation and has fired every agent deemed competent because they refused to swear loyalty to Trump? |
How much is a barrel of crude right now? That's still too high |
What do you call this? Double wahala for dead body abi? This only underscores the need for the police to not only to always be dressed in the official approved uniforms of the NPF, but to also carry relevant identification. |
