this is bad advice, I came here just 3 weeks and I've gotten 3 job offers, started a job and expecting offer letter from another. With good planning, hardwork and prayer you can do it too. first thing is come prepared with money if you want a good job! prepare for accommodation and transportation for the first two months it might be bed space. I'll advice you opt for unlimited train card goes for 40k naira or less and go for walk in everyday. don't let anybody discourage you, the market is bad but jobs dey and lastly make sure you start searching for job from naija, make your research all the best!

Guy my advise to you is Dubai is not worth coming to be frank with you, you might end up paying someone for employment visa and at last when you arrived it will be a bricklayer work, see eye have seen alert here. And u might get a job and the company did not change your status from tourists to residence, see better still hustle for more cash and look for better country....... My opinion.... Many people end up going back home after 3 month bcoz of 1 reason or the order and many secure jobs with low pay (70k) n u know 9ja orientation when u are out of 9ja people keep calling for help, at last waiting u gain when u hustle for a year u can save 1m...... Only A good risk bearer should apply for Dubai but if you applied with ur last cash or borrow money to apply, guy sorry na ur name

I am not sure about the gt card,
what I DID was I attested my waec and degree certificate at moe and mofa then I attested only my degree certificate and letter of eligibility at UAE embassy but the choice is all yours you can do the three ( 18,000×3).I don't know about any disadvantage keeping my fingers crossed.

Magdagascariens:

So GTBank MasterCard is not acceptable?

Is it necessary to attest WAEC along with Degree. What's the likely disadvantages of doing either of the two? That will be 18,000 x 3 documents ( WAEC, Degree, Eligibility letter)

It can me Ecobank, First bank Zenith bank, fidelity bank or sterling bank MasterCard or visa card, make sure the card can do international transactions 26k would be debited from your account for biometrics plus charges and attestation costs 18k per document (36k in total for degree certificate and letter of eligibility from moe ) this is without how much you'll pay at moe and mofa to sign and stamp the document, ill advice you budget 45k for attestation

abiriba:
Thanks to all that response to my questions.I really appreciate.
Please must one have a UBA account before that and how much does it cost to attest educational documents in Abuja?

Thank you.

I mean let them do their thing unlaminate it yourself so they won't waste your time.

Loverswater:

Please explain more what you mean by "It's best if you don't react to this, if you really want to get your certificate early".
Travel / Re: QATAR AND UAE GENERAL VISA ENQUIRIES Part 3 by Dollarh: 5:49pm On Aug 25, 2018
They will help you unlaminate it and even staple it self! It's best if you don't react to this, if you really want to get your certificate early.

Loverswater:
Please, what happens to education documents that are laminated, can it also be stamped for ministry of education like that?
Travel / Re: QATAR AND UAE GENERAL VISA ENQUIRIES Part 3 by Dollarh: 5:46pm On Aug 25, 2018
Yes, if your visa is not a full visa (there are two types pf three months vusa, ask your agent) and Yes (if you want a degree job so I heard)

abiriba:
Hello House,
Is it compulsory for everyone coming with a 3 month visa to do biometric in abuja or is it for a certain class of people?
Secondly must I attest my educational documents in abuja before coming to dubai if i intend to work there?

Kindly assist.
Travel / Re: QATAR AND UAE GENERAL VISA ENQUIRIES Part 3 by Dollarh: 5:41pm On Aug 25, 2018
It's usually 3 to 4 days but you can go there and find out if anybody can help you get it faster, this is the most strenuous step in getting ur certificate attested

Travel / Re: QATAR AND UAE GENERAL VISA ENQUIRIES Part 3 by Dollarh: 8:32pm On Aug 17, 2018
Yes, Biometric, which is 25100naira which would be debited from your personal MasterCard via pos, this is after you have gotten an appointment via WhatsApp.

Loverswater:

I just got my passport stamped at the embassy today. Can someone just kindly explain what the expiry date on the passport stamp means. Does it mean the visa is 2 months or does it just signify how long I have to arrive in the UAE

Are they still using the normal whatsapp for appointment or that's been scrapped?

2. MASTER OR VISA CARD FOR POS PAYMENT
3. MEDICAL REPORT FROM GARKI HOSPITAL OR NIZAMIYE HOSPITAL ABUJA.( FOR WORK VISA ONLY)
BANKS CARD WORKING_ UBA, ZENITH, FEDELITY, STERLIN ,ECO FIRSTBANK.

The Above was the response I got after booking my appointment with the Embassy. My Visa is supposed to be a tourist visa. Do I need to do Medicals or is this just the generic response that everyone gets whenever they book appointment? Please educate me.

Compliments bro. I will sincerely advice you calm down, take your time and apply for FALL 2018. It's just around the corner. By then, you will have better schools to apply to and must have gained admission from them. Meanwhile free free to PM me. Cheers.

Bro I sent you a pm

Sorry for the delay bro/ sis, but you need to readdress the words in BOLD.
First, VIU has been identified by gurus here as a ONE BUILDING school. So why not apply to other top proper schools that offer Computer Science?

Secondly, your answers or responses get as e be. Does it mean that if your office doesn't suggest you pursue masters, u wont have done so?

Thirdly, your responses made the VO conclude you do not know what you want.

Therefore, address these, ensure you take the standardized tests and try again (with a good school o).

cheers baba. I wish you the best.

Thanks bro . I would be open to suggestions of good universities maybe around California? That offer computer science and it? I want to get this thing perfectly this time o☺

Hello everybody I've been a silent follower of this thread . I wish I consulted someone here before having my interview on dec6 it went as thus:
Vo: where are you going
Me: v.i.u for my masters degree programme in computer science
Vo: why do u want to have your masters
Me: to be more more competitive as adviced by the organisation I worked with
Vo cuts in: why did u choose this school
Me: I exchanged email with some lecturers in the institution and I noticed the curriculum fits perfectly with my career goals
Vo: how are you planning on achieving that ?
Me: *stammers* i would work hard *stammers* with my studies *vo drinks water* *stammer*
Vo: it seems you don't know what you want
Me: *angry* i intend on being a professional it specialist
Vo: name some courses you'll be taking
Me: mentions few courses
Vo: who is your sponsor?
Me: my mother
Vo: what does she do
Me: she is a tier 1 distributor with bat
Vo: what does that mean?
Me: try explaining
Vo: hands blue paper
Then I stormed out really sad, I'm not taking no for an answer I am planning on having another interview by March I would need the help of everyone here please point out my mistakes and the way I can get back there and come out smiling. Merry Christmas in advance
