In a survey of 1,446 registered voters, 33 percent said Obama was the worst president since World War Two, while 28 percent pointed to his predecessor, George W. Bush, as the worst, the poll by Quinnipiac University found.

Voters were split over which of the two most recent presidents has done a better job with 39 percent saying Obama has been a better president than Bush and, 40 percent saying Obama is worse.

Most voters said Ronald Reagan, who served two terms in the 1980s, was the best president since 1945, the survey showed.

"Over the span of 69 years of American history and 12 presidencies, President Barack Obama finds himself with President George W. Bush at the bottom of the popularity barrel," said Tim Malloy, assistant director of Quinnipiac University's polling unit.

While Obama's job approval rating has inched higher to 40 percent, up from 38 percent in December, more voters gave him largely negative marks in key areas: the economy, foreign policy, healthcare and terrorism, according to the poll.

On the environment, 50 percent gave Obama positive marks.

The telephone survey, taken June 24 to June 30, had a margin of error of plus or minus 2.6 percentage points.

Colombian pop star Shakira will perform at this year's World Cup closing ceremony, which takes place before the final in Rio de Janeiro on 13 July.

The singer will perform La La La (Brazil 2014) at the Maracana stadium.

It is her third consecutive appearance at a World Cup closing ceremony, after performing in South Africa in 2010 and in Germany in 2006.

Shakira, whose home team Colombia will face Brazil in the quarter-finals, said she was "thrilled" to be performing.

"I have an intricate relationship with football for obvious reasons, and I truly understand what the World Cup means to so many people, myself included," the singer said in a statement.

"The fans have shown the most incredible support for this song and I can't wait to perform it for them."

The 37-year-old singer, whose hits include Hips Don't Lie and She Wolf, had a son with Spanish defender Gerard Pique last year.

She also performed the official song of the 2010 World Cup - Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) - which is reportedly the biggest-selling World Cup song of all time.

The Brazil ceremony, which marks the end of a month of football, will also see Carlos Santana and hip-hop star Wyclef Jean perform the official anthem Dar Um Jeito alongside Brazil's Alexandre Pires.

Local superstar Ivete Sangalo will perform a medley of well-known Brazilian songs, while there will be a Samba performance by students from a school in Rio.

Frenchman known for innovation wins Red Bull X-Fighters Madrid, amazes fans

With 23,000 fans looking on at a bullfighting ring in Madrid, Tom Pages did what no other freestyle motocross rider has ever done before in competition, pulling off the Bike Flip that originated in BMX.

Pages, a famous French FMX rider known for his innovative tricks, completed the Bike Flip in a qualifying round and did it again during his winning run at the Red Bull X-Fighters Madrid event over the weekend in the Las Ventas bullring, bringing the crowd to its feet.

The Bike Flip was first performed successfully in BMX at the 2004 X Games by Morgan Wade. Since then, the FMX crowd has been unsuccessful in pulling it off in competition. Travis Pastrana and Kyle Loza have attempted it during competition but have yet to complete it successfully, though Pastrana has succeeded in practice.
But it was Tom Pages, 29, who was the first. Not surprising, really, considering his resume.From his Red Bull bio:

In 2008, Tom became the first rider ever to stick a double grab flip at the World Moto X Championships. In the same year, he and brother Charles became the first duo to get the front flip down on film–a move that sent shockwaves through the FMX community and propelled the brothers into the limelight, giving them both a legendary status within the sport. Baghdadi, who holds a PhD in Islamic studies, said Muslims were being targetted and killed from China to Indonesia. Speaking as the first Caliph, or commander of the Islamic faithful since the dissolution of the Ottoman empire, he called on Muslims to rally to his pan-Islamic state.

“Those who can immigrate to the Islamic State should immigrate, as immigration to the house of Islam is a duty,” he said in an audio recording released on a website used by the group formerly known as the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham.

“Rush O Muslims to your state. It is your state. Syria is not for Syrians and Iraq is not for Iraqis. The land is for the Muslims, all Muslims.

“This is my advice to you. If you hold to it you will conquer Rome and own the world, if Allah wills.”

Having claimed the title of “caliph”, Baghdadi appealed to “judges and those who have military and managerial and service skills, and doctors and engineers in all fields.”

He also called on jihadi fighters to escalate fighting in the holy month of Ramadan, which began on Sunday. “In this virtuous month or in any other month, there is no deed better than jihad in the path of Allah, so take advantage of this opportunity and walk the path of you righteous predecessors,” he said. “So to arms, to arms, soldiers of the Islamic s, fight, fight.”

In a reflection of the havoc wreaked the past month by the Sunni insurgency led by the group, the United Nations said more than 2,400 people were killed in Iraq in June, making it the deadliest month in the country in years.

Baghdadi’s claims to control vast territority have yet to be tested by an Iraqi government counter attack. Many Muslim groups dispute his putative caliphate. However some experts fear his rise could transform the appeal of extremist Islam, partly by harassing social media to build a global following.

Hassan Hassan, an analyst at Abu Dhabi’s Delma Institute, wrote that Baghdadi provided the most radical challenge since the emergence of Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda. “The whispers of support to a caliph in Afghanistan are now replaced by clear words and acts, amplified by social media,” he said. “Jihadism has evolved significantly. It is no longer limited to narrow “elitists” who travel to distant countries to wage jihad. Today’s jihad is more sophisticated and individualised and can be waged everywhere.”

The Sunni insurgents’ advance, which has plunged Iraq into its worst crisis since US troops left in 2011 puts it up against avowed enemies in Shia areas.

authority2006: Are you sure that both April and May time sheet and survey sheet were sent by your employer and at the right time. That is, on or before 6th of new month for the previous month. I started on April 22nd this year, we sent both April and May time sheet and survey sheet but received only May stipend on the 17th June. May be they didn't consider us for April stipend or may be it was due to little mistake of omission of employer's Unique Code when we filled the forms for the month of April.
My advice for you is, tell your employer to call GIS office to find out. I'm not sure if they usually treat emails sent to them as complaints.

The truth is that most of the things we hate is what will bring us breakthrough. I don't like CCNA (professional course in Computer)before and one IT company that is best in that course. But in 2011, I found myself offering CCNA in same company I don't like. And today, am employed by same company with broad opportunities that follows it. What am I trying to say, you hate road side drug sellers (Chemist), but that is one thing am looking at that will see you through in this your mission. My parents trained us with Chemist (They're not graduates) and I know how much we make from that biz. My advise, open a chemist shop, put one lady/nurse to manage it for you, and run ur pharmacist programme. Most of the successful pharmacists I know have chemist shop(s). Who knows, you may get a beautiful good nurse that may turn out to be your wife in the nearest future. Thereby using one stone to kill many birds.
