yahoocrawler:Hi, Hosting Upgrades doesn't involve placing a new order. On upgrade your website is moved to a new plan. So the bandwidth and space of previous plan doesn't add up in the new plan. The billing for plan upgrade is done on pro-rata basis. For Example: If you are currently in Civilian Plan with 500 MB Space and 5 GB Bandwidth, cost of which is N1600 for 365 days or 1 year. And you decide to upgrade to Commander Plan (2 GB Space and 20 GB Bandwidth) after 30 days. The amount for remaining term (335 Days) of Civilian Plan will be deducted from the price of Commander Plan. And you will only be billed for the amount that is calculated after this deduction. enifex:Hi, I can see from our backend that you had requested an plan upgrade for your hosting account to increase your bandwidth. Sure you can save your website's bandwidth in many ways: 1) By reducing file size of images, css and other files you upload on your hosting account using compression tool, reducing image resolution using photo editing tools. 2) By using external server to load Images, Media/Videos and CSS/JS Files. Like Using paid service: MaxCDN, Or Free Image Hosting Sites: Imageshack, PhotoBucket etc, For Videos you can use Youtube. 3) You can also use Cloudflare to speed up website using their caching. The above measures should save your bandwidth a lot and if after these measures your website is not consuming much bandwidth then you may not need an upgrade. Pageviews are totally dependent on the size of your page and Images/CSS/JS files hosted by you and number of visitors you get monthly. In Commander Plan you will get 20 GB Monthly Bandwidth. So for example your page is 100 KB. And it has 4 images of size 200 KB, a CSS, JS file of size 100KB which would make the combined size of page as 1000 KB. So with this 1000 KB page and 20 GB monthly bandwidth of Commander Plan you can have 20,000 page views monthly approx. This is just an example, actual usage will be totally different for different websites. Bandwidth is counted on each page load including all CSS, Images, Text etc. Most bandwidth is usually taken up by Images and CSS files on any website.
