Majesticniyi: You seem to be getting me wrong, Sir/ma. The date of birth is consistent and there is no visa yet. The issue is that the name on her school certificates and that on her Passport and Birth Certificate does not tally in spelling. If birth cert. and passport tally, i don't see a problem |

OtunOba15: @zimzee.....it either you are reading another thread or you don't understand what you want to do. Am 100% sure that your matter has been treated times without number. Cool down take your time and read. It took me over 4 months to read part 1 plus another 300pages of part 2.
From my observation the successful rate of silent readers is higher because they have better understanding of their traveling purposes, quality answers during the interview session....
Just take your time. Boss, please help me answer those questions up there so i can complete my DS-160 |

Rep01: Ahhhh Ahhhh why are you talking like diz, I join dis forum simply bcoz I want 2 have more knowledge about how to travel down to USA, but I was so embarrassed with your respond towards my move @ otunOba15.. pls note dis, this forum is to educate one another not to embarrass each other.. if I may ask, can u plz tell me d illegal aspect of it.@otunba ? I need better respond from better and reasonable nairalander... THANKS Nobody will answer your question, but let me help you with my newbie experience. The only way for you to travel to the US, is either through non-immigrant ( you are not planning to live permanently in the US but just for temporal/short stay or visit and the second is Immigrant ( you want to live permanently in the US ). First this thread is for people who are going on short visit, tourism, holiday, conference or medical reason in the U.S now for you to do this you need to have a hometie, meaning something to convince the Interviewer that you are only going to be in the USA for a little time and do not intend to work during your period of stay. The second is immigrant, which can only be done by your spouse ( husband or wife ) or your family member if you are below 18 or 21 ( not too sure of the age ). So the reason you won't get a response and why that person say what you want to do is illegal is because you are on a non immigrant thread ( people who wants to visit the USA for either holiday or attend a course for a short period of time and return back to their country ) and you are seeking help on how to travel to USA and live there permanently. Depend on your situation you can go to the immigrant thread to seek knowledge on how to migrate and live in U.S permanently. I hope i was able to explain with my novice experience, if you still don't understand after reading this, look for someone to translate in your local dialet for easy understanding. Peace |

Well that's the much I know.. No, just the event i'm attending, but i already made appointment few hours ago. Thanks |

LagosNIV: Hello domcreative -
There is no way to edit previously used DS160s. You are responsible for your application, even if you choose to use an agent to help you file it. You will now have to deal with the consequences of your choice. You can file a new DS160 with truthful information. I would encourage you to bring the situation to the attention of the officer who interviews you without waiting to see if we notice the discrepancies. It may take some time to re-establish your credibility with the United States, but ultimately the path to doing so begins with full disclosure of the truth.
LagosNIV Thank you |
