Politics › The Crisis In The NW And NC Is Ethnically Driven And Not Sectarian by DomPerignon(op): 11:34am On Nov 10, 2025 |
The myopic and pedestrian conclusion is to assume wrongly that the Fulani terrorists are being motivated by religion.
The truth is that all this nonsense started in the build up to the 2015 elections which saw to a mass influx of Fulani terrorists from CAR, Burkina Faso and Niger into the country.
These terrorists were imported by some northern politicians to stage violent unrest if the elections didn't go the way of the north producing the next President in the form of Buhari.
After GEJ conceded defeat and Buhari was sworn in nothing was done to have these guys go back. There was even rumours that these terrorists were not paid what they had negotiated for. They then began to resort to self help and settle in Nigeria permanently. Not like they had a choice as most of these terrorists were facing serious clampdown in places like CAR and Burkina Faso.
To placate them , the last government wanted to roll out Ruga settlements across the polity which was roundly rejected.
To buttress my point on complicity in certain high places, I will direct you to a video of a Fulani bandit leader who was speaking in Katsina at a peace meeting a few days back and how he stated that government had not fulfilled their end of the bargain they had entered an agreement to.
To say the Fulani terrorists are motivated by religion is false as Hausa Muslim farmers have suffered the most in their hands.
To put the blame on religion is highly dangerous and will not address why the state governors and past Aso rock occupants were handling them with kids gloves. It will also create more animosity between Muslims and Christians in Nigeria and so for Trump to claim he is coming for a crusade to save Nigerian Christians does not address the issue but will only cause mor division and radicalization between Muslims and Christians in Nigeria. |

tkgindofa: You don't know anything about war; Why is turkey begging USA to sell the F-35 fighter jet to them? While Israel is having dozens of them? ; war no be number, but skills and wisdom. When real war starts, turkey will be completely destroyed, ask Iran how far. A parliament member in Iran claims Israel used diabolical means, to evade their radar, you don't mess up with "God's chosen people" and win. 0su,.sharap |

ImpartialGuy: The biggest contributors in economy anywhere in the world are the so-called petty traders, including the United States.
Igbos don't have to be on Forbes because our wealth is spread across our people, not one Alhaji acquiring everything and giving others peanuts as seen in the South West and North.
In fact, most of the wealthy folks in the SW and north are people who became wealthy from corrupt government financing. No Nigerian will ever be poor if they can the kinds of support that those folks enjoy from the government.
That's why the north and SW wouldn't mind playing politics with their people's lives just to hold key positions in government because they largely depend on government largasse to thrive. Didn't read beyond your first sentmce. OK carry your petty trade to Biafra. We no want. We will be buying directly via online from Temu and Alibaba. Thanks. |

aswani: You might think what you just typed is a throwaway remark but it is very true.
Biafra will surely be a basketcase banana republic and they will blame Yoruba people for Lord knows what.
Same as we are hearing how President Tinubu is destabilising other parties, they will never ever take responsibility for their failures. They are highly irresponsible bunch . They are even now claiming that ifeanjuna did his bloody coup to get Awo to be released and made president. Same ifeanjuna who murdered the PM in Otta and from there drove to Enugu to report to Okpara that the PM was dead. Okpara then informed Zik who in turn informed Orizu who then handed over to Ironsi. When Ifeanjuna was arrested he told the Police E-Branch that Tafa Belewa did in the back of his red Mercedes Benz from Asthma. This is despite the recovered body of the PM confirming he was shot multiple times at close range from a sub machine gun. Same gun and ammo Ifeanjuna used in executing Mailameri. They can lie and deflect like no tomorow. I want this Biafra very badly so we can all enjoy how they will both be begging Trump to help them come back to Nigeria while blaming Nigerians for their self induced madness. Its going to be epic. |

Trump is still stuck bombing Venezuelan fisher men .
If he sends one of those aging carrier fleet to Nigeria's waters , its going to be for helping us catch oil thieves and pirates.
Biafra is never going to happen until we are tired to breaking point of you guys and ask you to : please leave. Now! |

WizardOfNG: Indeed she spoke fire. The bolded in your post is solid gold. I have never come across a group with more myopic propensity for self-harm and self-sabotage than those lot.
They continue to make redundant noise about Biafra yet are the people most dependent on and addicted to 'One Nigeria' than all others.
If they get Biafra, will Nigerians in other region leave their States to go and buy spare part, and other goods Igbos sold in all region of Nigeria, or will they patronise those in their state who step in to fill the vacuum left by Igbo exit since "nature abhors a vacuum"?
They don't think at all. Otherwise they would see Nigeria does not need them. They need Nigeria far more because nothing they do, glorified shopkeeping if one is being gracious, others cannot attend to.
They won't stop till they precipate another round of huge suffering for themselves as happened with the Igbo coup, Civil and war and, most recently, IPOB destruction of the SE. And the funniest thing is they will blame Nigeria and Nigerians for their future failed state. One thing I should add also is that even in their SE, heavy discrimination persists among them that outside major towns like Enugu, non indigenes are heavily discriminated. Someone from another village living in another one is seen as strange and will normally elicit suspicion . Very backward people. |

VillagePipu: They said "brewery advocates" and you are accusing him of tribalism.
Persecution complex has impaired your ability to reason properly. No mind them. They have been opening silly threads since Trump made his empty threat for the disbanding of sharia court and law in northern Nigeria. They want northerners to embrace alcohol, drugs, prostitution and baby factory enterprise. |

Originalsly: This all sounds nice and promising. Is this really a "good development"? Let's chew on this. Did you notice they have not given much details of the MoU? ... what's in the deal for us? ... they come ..build a refinery... 500K bpd ..up and running... what do we get from that? ..do you know? ..th y haven't stated. Is it we get nothing for the first 25 years for them to recoup their investment? ..then 2% for the following ten years? What about environmental protection? ... what is in the MoU for this? ... air quality?...protection of ground water? .. and water sources? ... how would the industrial waste be managed?..." it would create employment" ... what level of employment? ... what pay? .. . is part of the MoU for locals to be trained in various levels of the operations? ...or foreigners will be employed while locals will be limited to low level unskilled positions? We know nothing about this ... considered no nothing about this ... but hailing it as a good development. Would we be really benefitting from this project? ... or just the investors? We need to know at least some of the details or we can be screwed big time and be worse than we are presently. If we look at the Congo and many other countries ... enormous investments... soooo many industries and projects going on ... billions being made ....but the masses be living in poverty. We need to have a fair deal or this will be an invitation to exploitation. Go and buy hero beer and sit by the fountain Otto built in Abia and enjoy . |
