Politics › Re: Obidients Attack Bloomberg For Calling ADC "Nigeria’s Main Opposition Party" by DomPerignon: 11:12am On May 28 |
franchasng: Atiku ought to have realized by now that he cannot win because he has no influential Southern politician again like in the past to help him get votes in the whole Southern Nigeria and no Governor is backing him again like in 2023.
Yes Atiku will win the highest number of votes in Northeast and Northwest but that is where his vote will end.
If Atiku is realistic and strategic enough, he ought to shock Tinubu by collapsing his structure to back NDC under a strict written agreement.
If Atiku decides to contest as it is currently, he will only end up dividing Northern votes and that will be to Tinubu's disadvantage.
If this election goes free and fair as expected, Peter Obi will emerge winner because his voting bloc regions will not be affected by Atiku Abubakar this time.
Southeast, SouthSouth and Northcentral that are Peter Obi's voting blocs are still in tact with Atiku in the race. Peter Obi's youthful voters are in tact because they despise Atiku for being stubborn and not letting equity reign. They don't even want to hear the name Tinubu to talk of voting for him.
Now you go to the North which was Tinubu's main voting bloc in 2023, with Tinubu's tribalism and sidelining of Northerners that helped him win in 2023, Tinubu have automatically lost Northern bloc vote. Atiku will inherit majority of Buhari's Northern support. Now with Peter Obi aligning with a formidable Northern politician with a phenomenal Kwankwasiya movement, Obi will gain more votes in the North than he got in 2023 even though he won't win North but he will perform far better than he did in 2023.
So if you sincerely analyze the 2027 Presidential election with:
Tinubu in APC Atiku in ADC Peter Obi in NDC
You can clearly see that Peter Obi has won the election already.
The only thing that would have affected Peter Obi's voting blocs is if Goodluck Jonathan contested, and now that it is clear that Goodluck Jonathan won't be contesting, it has become more clearer than Peter Obi is the next Nigeria's President See reasoning abeg oh! |

Kukutente23: I thought Aisha is from Edo state How come she's running from senate in FCT This woman just wants to profit from Obi's popularity That's because the rascals in the obidient camp can only seek elective office in either no man's land , Lagos or in the FCT. If they try contest for their respective state positions, they will lose more woefully than that Cubana chief priest . |

Someone on that X post, responded to her well by asking how she can support Giringori being an annionted candidate without undergoing through Primaries but she is now demanding one after Dickson's parlour selection board rejected her candidacy and gave it to that grandma. |

Politics › Ndc's Charade Of A Primaries by DomPerignon(op): 9:52am On May 28*. Modified: 9:19am On May 29 |
Finally Peter Obi will finally be part of a political party's internal Primaries but he is going into this Primaries as the only aspirant after the NDC successfully barred other candidates from picking up their Presidential forms.
The NDC did not just zone their ticket to the south or the SE as they claimed, the zoned it to just one individual - Peter Obi.
Obi will stand unopposed in the charade that is a primary elections and will be declared the winner by default.
This isn't just for obi as the NDC had a selection board review that insisted on announcing just one candidate for every available political position in the upcoming 2027 elections .
So why has the NDC chose this route ?
It so happens that any direct Primaries across states in the federation will expose how unpopular the party truly is in most parts of the country..
Unlike the APC, PDP and ADC that saw to their registered members coming out to vote in their respective direct Primaries, the NDC knows that if they conduct direct Primaries, it will only exposes how deeply unpopular their party is with a very low turnout of registered party members |

Politics › Re: NDC Primaries To Hold Nationwide On May 29 by DomPerignon: 9:30am On May 28 |
Tenses: Is consensus not in the new electoral act passed by your 1d1iotic president? For there to be consensus candidate other aspirants must step down for one candidate. There is nothing as consensus in NDC as almost all the slots had just one candidate aspirant meaning they are going into their primaries unopposed . The reason for this is that NDC struggled to attract serious politicians and they could barely sell only 45 forms for both national and state elective positions and their presidential ticket . Obi, for example is decieving himself that he is going for screening and the party primaries where he is the only sole aspirant . |

callmeDDD: Good initiative but let's wait and see the credibility of the ones that will screen them. Hope they won't consider those that has big pockets over people that are termed people of integrity? Another thing is popularity. If you are less popular and not known but passed their interviews, will it be an easy ride for an unknown party? Which primaries ? Virtually all their slots were given out for free save about 45 forms they sold and there isn't going to be any primaries because most of the candidates are running unopposed. The selection board will then transform to the collation board in same Dickson's parlour and announce the names of those they handed free ticket to as their primaries winners. No election in NDC , only selection and Giringori is the one who set the path to such undemocratic nonsense |
Politics › Re: Dickson: Only Successful Aspirants In NDC Primaries Will Pay Nomination Fees by DomPerignon: 8:08am On May 28 |
LagosOrigin: NDC is credible and the primaries processes will be the most transparent unlike the criminal activities called primaries that APC did to favour tinubu .
Over 40 school children including 2, 3 and 4 years olds were kidnapped from their school by bandits and taken to unknown destination and tinubu hadn't done anything to rescue them. Yesterday was children's day and tinubu dare wish children a happy children day?
What a useless and heartless president.
If we don't vote out tinubu in 2027, he will finish us all .
Let nobody call Jesus or blame village people , go get your PVC and vote enmass against tinubu and his APC gang of economy destroyers. You don change wrapper tire. From LP, to ADC and now NDC. |

IGBOPROMISE1: So where are YOU from to presume to speak for Anioma people!? I know you’re a alternate moniker of the OP, and this sick obsession with trying to get one over on the Igbo IN EVERYTHING points to mental instability driven by intense hatred, bigotry and a inferiority complex!
Anioma are Igbo just like many other groups in Delta, Rivers and even Benue states! Why do you get agitated anytime we seek to unite Ndigbo under one umbrella and undo all the anti-Igbo propaganda people like you have engaged in from the late 60s to date!? I notice you don’t display this level of fear and insecurity when there’s talk of [i]the north this….the north that[/i ]! Get a life….and that advice goes to all your alternate monikers as well! The worst thing that can happen to your Ibo collective identity and expansionist movement is for Anioma state creation to go on and the path set for a referendum on two issues to be determined being : 1. Anioma state creation 2. Anioma to be ceded to the SE. If such a referendum is allowed to hold, I know that you guys will target Anioma people as your next sworn enemies after they vote to reject anything to do with the SE and choose instead to be part of the SS. |

lawani: GDP is largely to do with population when the cost of living and other things are constant eg the level of taxation and organisation, therefore the combination of Oyo and Ogun will be around the same GDP as the SE.
If Osun has cocoa then Anambra has palm oil and it is also a hub for trading. One will cancel out the other So why is there a net negative migration from your SE? |
|
Politics › Re: SW Is The Most Heavily Indebted Geopolitical Zone In Nigeria by DomPerignon: 5:18pm On May 24 |
Mbanda: Apart from Lagos which other SW state do you think generates money more than other states in Nigeria? And don't forget that the money that lagos is generating is, as a result of the seaport there. And Nigerian government made it so by refusing to create other viable seaports in SE and SS. Osun's annual cocoa production dwarfs your entire SE economy. Oyo has a bigger economy than the entire SE Don't even try to compare with Ogun. The only SW state that is comparable to Anambra is Ekiti and all indices given population density and availability of land plus available solid minerals that are yet to be exploited, Ekiti still beats your entire SE. The only viable state in the SE is Enugu owing to land availability, natural gas deposits. The rest of the SE is a net negative overcrowded shetle |
Politics › Re: Abia’s Debt Reduced By 60%, State Ranks Among Top In Fiscal Transparency - Otti by DomPerignon: 5:11pm On May 24 |
Ofunaofu: So these two states are the only ones in the federation violating Tinubu’s local government autonomy policy and ironically, both governors are standing on Tinubu’s mandate. It's called legislative rascality . And this isn't Tinubu's LGA law but what is enshrined in the constitution. The current AGF was the one with the full blessing of Tinubu who went to court to effect the independence of LGAs via ensuring that LGA elections must be conducted and the scenario of state governors like Obi refusing to conduct elections and appointing illegal caretaker chairman to control and siphon LG funds ends. The suit also mandates that LGA funds be directly remitted to LGAs and not through any state controlled joint accounts . But the legislative rascality deployed by Anambra and Abia saw to the creation of joint accounts which the governor has the discretion of releasing funds on his own whimp to LGAs. |

Ofunaofu: Which grip again on the illegal consolidated state and local govt revenue account are you talking about, I thought Tinubu implemented local government autonomy Yes but states like Abia and Anambra passed laws in their respective state assemblies that mandates joint accounts between the state and LGAs . In the case of Abia the governor is the sole signatory . That's what led to an LG chairman from Abia complaining of the governor witholding LG funds. |
Politics › Re: SW Is The Most Heavily Indebted Geopolitical Zone In Nigeria by DomPerignon: 2:00pm On May 24 |
lawani: Oyo and Ogun alone are around the same population as the SE. Lagos is 120 percent of the SE and there are still Osun Ekiti and Ondo. It is therefore totally unwarranted or uncalled for to be saying the SE is not doing well based on what the SW is doing. Remember the SE is around the same size as Oyo state So why the constant need of dik measuring with the SW? And while you are at it, what of the SS? |

Wetin dey him mind nobody knows He should keep his confusion to himself. That's how he dislodged PDP in Anambra only to decamp to same PDP after being in power under APGA for 8ys. He then decamped from PDP to LP to contest in 2023 which saw to PDP traditional SE votes being taken by him . That move caused the PDP the elections After the elections , he and his obidient mob wanted to turn the LP to their property. When he lost he ran to ADC only to run away again to NDC..
