HiTV still stands to make alot of money if they focus on:
Expanding their reach to other part of Nigeria to catch new subscribers ,
Acquire more interesting contents to reduce churn (Movies channels, documentary channels etc, Sport channel that focus on other sport)
reduce their subscription back to 4k 0r 4.5k.

Hi TV acquired Champions League to increase subscriber based which will in turn increases revenue. But in their attempt to increase revenue they increase subscription. (A very bad approach which can only work if there are no competitions (in monopolist market).
I think their focus should be on ways to expands subscribers base across the whole of Nigeria, acquire more interesting contents (channels) (so as to compete with DST) and improve subscriber loyalty instead of increasing the subscription by 50% and by 500% for viewing centres.

I hope they realize their mistake before it is too late.

Hello Temmytanny, No but I am not happy because HiTV is holding their loyal subscribers to ransom, just like DSTV did some years back. 6K no Spanish League, International Friendly matches, no quality movie channel, ,

I think we need to start a mass attack on this Hithief on facebook and twitter, let the whole world know they are not up to the task, imagine me washing the same old movie within 3days interval? starwars, house of wax etc for more than a month now, i have watch it on HITHIEF many times.

for your information,am not in to the business but i watch most matches at viewing centers(even though i have one at home,i see fun in it watching wit pals)and i know dat some of these people doing this business are doin it to make end meet.

viewing centers have generated nothing less than 20,000 jobs in nigeria today(i stand to be corrected) and have been directly and indirectly feeding over 500,000 nigerians and that has also help in reducing crime and joblessness
if HITV now go ahead with its plans,what happens to those who dont make much in this business?i was thinkin now that they have UCL at thier disposal,they would introduce dual decorders but they dint do that,they are busy lookin for viewing centers to close down.

they should start planing how to win the next bidding of EPL in november and leave us to enjoy how football and if they want trouble we shall give them in double
