Are the signals clear at your end?

The quality I get on those channels that just dropped in from dstv are between 28-30 percent max and so the picture jerks and breaks.

Is yours the same? Am using strong decoder.

Is there a way to improve the signal quality?

Want to enjoy the freebie while it lasts.

The signal quality is okay, it is around 56-58%. The pictures are crystal clear.

what is the signal level of your HiTV station? because if your dish is not well positioned, the DSTV signal will not be clear.

@Urfriend: I think is better for HiTV to have one or two email address for [/font]recharge and activation purposes.
Or better still, HiTV should add a webpage to existing website also for recharge and activation purposes.[font=Lucida Sans Unicode]

The Free DSTV are on Eutelet W4 12.282 H, there are about 10 free stations.

Using Additional 90cm dish for W3a is ok , but with double LNB for W3a & MyTV , its not possible ,
Let us concentrate on locating this W3a , Read all information in the forum and give it a try. Then you can come back to us and let us know how you are doing . There are numbers of guys you can call to help you out ,
A bit of work wont hurt you , give it a try. You can never know if you don't try.

I have Trace too and not MTV. MTV use to be on HiTV cable platform.

you can a manual scan on your decoder, your satellite should on EUTELSAT W4, freq on 11.745Ghz (for Trend stations) and 11.900Ghz (for HiTV), you should get a total of 25 station.

can you do a manual rescan of your decoder? or get someone locally to check the antenna alignment. get one of HiTV distributor.

Yeah, HiTV is Nigeria indigenous Pay TV company that really brought competition to the market digital satellite television. I remember DSTV reducing the price of system not one or twice or thrice due to HiTV landmark introduction but it is as if the focus of HiTV as changed from being customer oriented to money oriented.

Just like Senga said "HiTV is really only a football DTH and remember sport accounts for only 20% of a Platform, although they are the most vocal. That is why they are not eating into the Multichoice subscribers. The majority of these subscribers take both HiTV for the Football and DSTV for the entertainment"
HiTV needs to add more interest station to their network.
I have sent emails to the email address you gave but it is a pity that I have not gotten any response. Also, ART Movie 2 is a rubbish station, I believe HiTV can do better than that. Please add better contents.

I have being using HiTV since last year Nov. I remembered HiTV engineer told me that HiTV will add one station every month. It is almost a year now but only 5 stations have been added. I think it is time that HiTV add more stations to its station. Subscribers are getting bored since premiership has ended. HiTV need to include more foreign: Movie stations, documentary stations, cartoon stations etc.
This what their subscribers are yeahing for.

Hello, the question should be, does he wants to build a career in a bank or in an engineering firm? I have friends that are engineers, that have worked for three years in a bank and now are fed up. My suggestion is that he choose the engineering job if he has a long term career goals. Or the bank if he has a short term career goals.

He said in the scriptures that He will never tempt us than what we can bear. thanks. My HiTV faces the DsTV direction, and currently i can only view 16 channels from HiTV. How many free to air station will i get If i use another dish(1.8m) facind the eastern direction and LNB?

You didnt tell us on which satellite and direction your dish is facing and also the size of your dish.

First you need to know that its possible to add as many LNB's as possible on a single dish, however there are things you need to consider before that;
1) the direction your current dish is facing and what satellite you re connected to.
2) if your dish is facing east where MYTV satellite channels is facing then, its posible for you to add another LNB and get channels within that footprint.
3) if your dish is facing West (which I presume is where HItv can be received (27.5w ) I stand to be corrected, then you can't get anything like MYTV channels but other satellite channels within that axis by using another LNB with some degrees apart, however you have to figure out how to extend the LNB holder for the additional LNB's.

So if you still wish to get MYTV along side Hitv, then you have to get yourself another dish of possibly 60 to 90cm, which you will face east (68.5E) in-order to get these channel packages.

Hey Duttybarh, everything na God ooo (God grace), I have seem and heard of graduates that had first class and second class upper that are still jobless, and thank God I have seem and heard of graduate that had third class and pass turning out to be successful business executives.
Having a 2.2, a third class and Pass grade doesn’t mean one won’t get a good job; everything is by the God’s grace. Haven’t you heard of an interview that graduates were disqualified because they are not graduates of the first five universities; I think our corporate society is the cause of these discriminating acts.
If you are giving an advice please give it clear term, I support your idea of encouraging undergraduate to try as much as possible to obtain good grades.
So, don’t feel bad the way people have responded to your opinion.
For people with 2.2 and below grades that are still jobless your miracle jobs are on the way in Jesus name. Amen.
